So Ghanian actress Juliet Ibrahim had this interesting interview with Flytime TV and she said quite a lot.
She talked about her childhood, son, foray into the movie world, music, her kidney foundation and lots more.
On her childhood she says " My childhood was not a stable one because we grew up in war torn countries so my family and I were always relocating. I grew up in Liberia, Lebanon and Ivorycoast before we finally moved back to Ghana. There were happy moments when I was in school but most of my childhood moments are not quite exciting."
On her family/son, she says "By the grace of God I have been able to describe myself or call myself a "superwoman". It's not easy, but with the help of my wonderful mom I have been able to juggle it all. She takes care of my son whenever I have to be out on the road. My husband is also quite a busy person so we are both always on the road. I actually do make time for my son whenever I am in Ghana and not on set. He is so much fun to be around and every time I am away I miss him so much. I also run a boutique in Accra so when I am not on set filming I am taking care of my business. My son's name is Jayden. He is 2yrs old and he is the sweetest person I have ever met in my life, I love him so much".- aww!

On her hairstyles, she says "My hair is one thing i love to always change. I have never kept the same look for a long period of time. it depends on my mood and my dress code for an event, hence i have so many wigs in my closet."
On how she copes with your insultive fans on twitter/instagram "I take constructive criticism and learn but if the person is getting too offensive I simply block them. It comes with the fame so best to block the person."
Her take on sex before marriage: It's always based on individual preferences. it is advised not to have sex before marriage so I always encourage the youth to try their best not to be misled into having sex before marriage. 80% of the time, you can never end up marrying the one you first had sex with, so it's best you avoid it and just wait for the right time and right one.
Oh by the way, she says "I won't go nude in a movie, for example you won't see me acting a porn movie lol. Not for all the money or fame in the world."

Aww! The ebony tv life launch was a big success, it went down succesfully at the eko hotel and suites last night.
All the celebs were there including Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River state and the Minister of Trade and Former Governor Donald Duke..The show was hosted by Dolapo Oni and Dare Alade. Nikki Laoye gave the opening act with her special rendition of the national anthem.

So the much talked about Dbanj's concert has come and gone. It held over last night at the eko hotel convention center and even though there were a few flops like time mismanagement - the event started very late, 2chainz was given more than enough time to perform, peeps got bored at some point. Oh by the way, Wizkid and Wande Coal did not show up ooo!

Now back to the main gist, while Dbanj was performing one of his new tracks, I can't really remember the song at the moment - I will update you guys as soon I remember - but it has lyrics like "bere mole, gbe soke" or something, he climbed down the stage and went round to say hi to his fans. Ladies were screaming like they had just seen a god, they were so excited as they happily danced with him. He kept going round and round till he stopped by in front a certain pretty lady dressed in a blue dress (photo above), in front close to the stage.
Apparently, the lady was not in the mood to dance but Dbanj did not leave her front!
Dbanj then tried pulling her up but she insisted that she wasn't dancing, she kept saying, no, no, no, no but Dbanj did not bulge.

Instead, he forced her up and began to drag her towards the stage. The lady's husband approached Dbanj to stop him.

He told him "she is my wife, she can't dance up stage with you" and Dbanj was like "oh, I didn't know she was married, I'm so sorry" but the lady was already pissed off.

Her husband led her away from the vvip section to the regular visitors section but after some minutes, they both stood up and left the hall.

Though Dbanj got another lady who was able to do all the bending, twisting, shaking and whinning up stage with him, he was kinda embarrassed with the No he got from the other lady - that didn't stop him from performing well though and besides not many people noticed except those in front and the many photographers...

Contrary to the reports that went viral - that veteran movie director/producer, the highly respected Tade Ogidan beats his wife and recently injured her on her forehead - Tade Ogidan in a telephone conversation has denied the accusations and he has this to say:
"Anyone who knows me near well enough or even well enough will know that I CAN NEVER HIT A WOMAN. It just cant happen! If anyone ever upset me, I simply walk away or take a drive.
A friend of my woman whom they've been in rivalry from school days did that to mess her up. I only arrived to start to get a fairly clear gist of how this came to be. Yewande didn't post the document. In fact, she's been inconsolable since this publication. She is been crying endlessly. She is lost for what to do.
This is what happened:
Yewande is like a tomboy. She can play rough. We were all in my office, the day after Children's day. I have been quite busy at work because of the reality show we are working on. That means I am not home everyday. Our major location is far along the Ajah axis; far from my home.
Yewande and the kids came to spend time with me in the office. When it was late, no NEPA, and the attempts to get the gen working [failed], she was ready to go home with the kids.
My little 5 year old girl was screaming that she didnt want to leave yet. Her mother insisted. The little girl ran into my office and shut the door to prevent her mom from taking her. I told Yewande to give her time. You know how mothers can be with their kids.

One of her old school friends, with whom she's had rivalry from school days, stole the photo from another friend of hers and went viral with that damaging story. The obvious intention is to mess her up..."

I hit my head on the steering wheel when a mini van hit my car from behind.my husband is even in the UK right now and he did not abuse me in any way. I am not defending him, if anyone has done anything to me, I will speak out. I am very well aware of domestic violence and I urge you to go on with your campaign against it but i was not assaulted by my loving husband - I was taking my kids to school and there was a gallop and a mini van hit me from behind,it was my fault because I didn't have my seat belt on. Tade ogidan cannot hurt a fly, I am not defending him but that's how he is. My Tade would never hit a woman, he is far older than me and he treats me like a baby''.

Eniola Badmus, gbogbo bigs geh should get over it already jor!
In a recent interview with a national newspaper, Eniola Badmus had this to say (I sense anger in her voice, lol)...
"I realize that my country people underrate you. Because you are big they make you feel wanted in the society. They feel that when you are big, you should be isolated. Yes, that’s true. I see it from the two sides. This is life. We can’t all be equal. It’s just like having a dwarf and a tall person. It’s not their fault that they are like that. But then, people tend to underrate just to make you feel somehow or to intimidate you. That’s why I say, I don’t see intimidation.
If anyone should come out and say ‘Eniola is big! She is that!’ For goodness sake, I like it like that (Yelz ke). I’m okay. Besides, my body shape is giving me money and I’m good. I’m living well. Even if you want to advise someone that it’s not nice, there is a way you can say it not by insulting people because you feel you can just write or talk anyhow on social media. No! Anybody that insults me on social media, I will insult back. (Ghen, ghen) Yes, because it doesn’t make one feel good. In foreign countries, intimidation causes some people to commit suicide. When you are being intimidated, that’s when depression comes up. After depression, you go and die. Me, die because of what? No oh! This life is too sweet to die, because of words of some people. I’m okay. If anyone doesn’t like me, they should keep a distance.
The people that like me will forever be around me. I remember that I wrote, why use panadol for my headache? Every blog (Yes I did, smiles) carried it that I said I know my stature is a big problem to some. But it’s the truth. Among all of you that are insulting me that Eniola is too big I’m sure your mum is bigger than me (lwkmd, she's angry) So why not concentrate on the one you have? I know one of your friends is bigger than me, or one of your sisters. Most of the fat babes, the plus size people who watch me want to emulate me because I’m a celebrity. Whatever she does let’s do it. You get it? I know I’m a role model to some people. If I want to shed weight."

War in the Abiola family!

One of the brothers of late Chief MKO Abiola Alhaji Mubashiru Abiola on June 12, in an interview with a national newspaper, stated that former military president, Gen Ibrahim Babangida has been the one sustaining the family since the death of the acclaimed winner of the June 12 1993 presidential election.
It appears the disclosure did not go well with all the family members! The head of the Abiola family, Chief Mohammed Murtala Abiola yesterday described Mubashiru's claim as total falsehood.

Speaking at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State , the Abiola family head who said “ If there is any money that IBB brought, it is not to my knowledge. I heard he (Mubashiru) frequents IBB’s residence in Minna to beg for money but he has never declared any money to the family.

Even when Obasanjo was president, he gave the family money but Mubashiru said he went there on his own and so he didn’t give us a dime. If Mubashiru is saying that IBB has been supporting MKO’s family, that is understandable but that IBB has been supporting Abiola’s family is not true.

The last time I met IBB was many years ago in MKO’s house where he came to solicit for financial assistance to enable him travel abroad.”

Continuing, Murtala who is the Osin Baale of Agbado land added: “It is not today that Mubashiru has been tarnishing the good image of our family. He has been a traitor right from his childhood. He has no job. During those days, our father, Chief Salaudeen Abiola was a leader of the Action Group in Abeokuta. During the crisis of Awolowo and Akintola, Mubashiru joined the other group to burn our father’s house. There was also a time Aremo Osoba gave us money and to show appreciation to him, we decided to appoint a leader and he was chosen. That was all. There was never a time MKO’s family appointed him as their spokesman.”

While also speaking on the controversial Will of the late business mogul, he said “ from the beginning we knew it was forged. When MKO died, according to Yoruba tradition, it is expected that the members of his family would make arrangement for his burial. Rather his son started making arrangement with those that killed his father. As a muslim, he was supposed to have been buried immediately. We were in Ikeja making arrangements while Abuja was also making arrangements. At the end we heard Kola got a contract from Abacha.”

He added that “ Mubashiru’s rantings didn’t come to us as a surprise but the fact remains that we cannot romance with IBB. I am the person that introduced Mubashiru to IBB on the condition that IBB would answer three questions I told Mubashiru to ask him. Since he didn’t ask him, I did. He only answered one of the questions.

First, I asked him why he anulled the June 12 elections? This is what I have been keeping to myself for years but now I will say it. IBB answered that, Allah is my witness, the people that anulled the election are those in power. The second question was, who killed MKO? IBB said, I don’t know. And the third question- what is your position on Kola who wanted to marry your daughter?

IBB said, I don’t know. Now our resolution is to demote Mubashiru. If anyone wants to see the family, they should meet us. Kola is the head of the dynasty of the Abiola family. What is happening is that certain characters collect money in the name of the Abiola family and share amongst themselves.
