A scrap plane formerly owned by late Apostle Gabriel Oduyemi of Bethel Ministries, Ajah, Lagos, caused panic in the city yesterday as almost everyone thought that another aircraft had crashed in Lagos.
Well, new findings reveal that the plane belongs to star actress, Omotola Ekeinde's husband.
How it all happened:
The plane, with registration number N972TF, which was recently released to Captain Matthew Ekeinde (for educational purposes in Badagry, Lagos) was being towed from Muritala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja to Badagry but during the process, the tyres burst.
Nothing much could be done since it occurred in the middle of the night, so the incident forced Captain Ekeinde to dump the plane at a filling station...and then everyone panicked when they saw the plane the next morning!
The question of "how did it get there?" was on everyone's lips.
Residents trooped out with their smart phones and camera, and queued behind the gate of Dapsey Oil filling station at Igando where the plane was parked. They later turned the scene into an amusement park and began to pose and take shots near the plane...Nigerians!!!
A senior employee of the filling station said “The plane was brought here around 2am after one of its tyres burst. It was being towed by a red vehicle, but after it got to Igando, they discovered it would be difficult to get it to its destination with burst tyre, so they brought it here.”Capt. Ekeinde confirmed to Punch that the scrap plane belonged to him, saying “The aircraft will be situated in a multipurpose and entertainment centre which will open very soon. When opened, the centre will be the first of its kind in West Africa."

I love the video, I mean we all love the video however the video did not go down well with er- some persons haters.
An insider who happens to work closely with Annie Idibia and who also doubles a very close friend of 2face Idibia squealed out some very disturbing information about the two - Annie/2face Idibia. When I got the report, I didn't want to put it up but hey I decided to throw it open and let you guys decide and see if you believe it!

Following the massive criticism she received from the various social media platforms - for falling on stage while performing at the Iyanya Kukere concert in London last 2nights - Tonto Dikeh, who appears not to be moved - has publicly tendered an apology.

She apologized to her London fans saying:
"I wasn't drunk but i fell down alright. Did you see what i wore? Who wouldn't fall dancing in that. The floor was very slippery..I actually had a different outfit made for dancing and nobody told me that my first coming out would be to dance, it was initially planned differently. Majekodunmi Fasheke, known more as Majek Fashek, is a well- known Nigerian reggae musician, whose popularity reached the zenith in the late 80s with his popular song, “Send down the Rain.” For many years, he was not only a darling of reggae music lovers, but also those who like good music. He later went to the United States of America, from where different stories trailed his life. He spoke on many issues in this interview with AJIBADE. Excerpts:

IT seems reggae music is going down in Nigeria. Unlike other genres of music, there has not been any new thing in reggae music. So, as a reggae musician, how do you intend to revive it?
Reggae music cannot go down, because reggae music is like a gospel music, we just need the right people to play it,that is it. But, why reggae music is going down is just because we don’t have the right people to play it. In our time, we had competition, Kimono, me, Oritz Wiliki, we had what I can call destructive competition like what they had in juju music then.

(Cuts in) do you mean destructive competition?
Yes, even among big musicians in those days. I was very, very impressed when I came back from America and I met my young brothers, who are into constructive competition, which never happened during our time then, no killing, no babalawo.

We came through the time of Fela, Sunny Ade, Obey, Sir Shina Peters, Barrister, Kolington, Orlando Owoh, Charley Boy, at that time, it was destructive competition and jealousy. They were very destructive and jealous. So, when I came back from America, I was very happy to see that the young guys are doing very well. And that is why Hajia has decided to invest in me and some young musicians. That is why I decided to strike a deal with Hajia because she is been trying to help musicians. The contract I signed with Aprel Management is called underground system.

So, since you returned from America, what efforts have you made to revive reggae music?
I don’t play reggae music; I play African music and rock music. I did not return to Nigeria to revive reggae music but to help Hajia Dangaji (PMAN President) become first female governor in Nigeria.

Some people are saying Majek is from Ilesa in Osun State, others are saying you are from Benin in Edo State. Can you clear the air?
My father was from Ilesa and Abeokuta, that is, my father’s parents were from Ilesa and Abeokuta, but my mother came from Benin. No mixture.

Let’s talk about friends; before Hajia came into the picture, people said your friends abandoned you. How true is that?
I came to save Nigeria.

(Cuts in) I mean how do you feel about being dumped by friends, I am not asking you why you came to Nigeria...
Hold on, forget about friends. I came to Nigeria, I am revisionary, and why do you think I am sitting down here? People are coming to enslave Nigeria again, and I am here to save Nigeria and you are here talking about friends. God sent me to come and save Nigeria, they want to come and overthrow Nigeria again through subsidy. If that subsidy succeeded. Nigerian would have died.

Your music, Send Down the Rain, was a hit then even up till now. What gave you the inspiration for that track?
It was God. God did everything. See, let me talk about Nigeria. People are suffering, people are dying and yet government is not doing anything about it. Government is expected to be paying our electricity bill, people pay their bills, yet they are not enjoying it. I want to become the president of Nigeria but I need $100 million to make that dream come true.

Is presidency for sale?
No, it’s not for sale, but I want to be a revisionary president

But I am sure if you have $100 million, you would not bother to run for presidency again?
No, I am very serious o; I want to be the president of Nigeria. We are leaving in hell in Nigeria. One doesn’t need to die before going to hell. We are already in hell in Nigeria.

You have many albums to your name. Which one will you say is your best? Many people believe Prisoner of Conscience is your best; at least he won you many local and international awards. Will you agree with that?
If people say it’s the best, then it’s the best. Apart from fetching me many awards, that album was from God, because you can never stop the rain, neither can you stop God’s creation, the wind must blow, and life must go on.

Who are your 10 greatest musicians, dead or alive?
I don’t know. I don’t know of any.

What is the difference between music then and now?
The music now is rock, as in, we are now into the music of computer, it’s an exciting thing for the youth. For me, I don’t like computer, it is too possessive, and computer is for young people. We are now into computer music.

What message do you have for people; especially those who say you are sick?
Me? I don’t have any message for anybody, the message I have for the Nigerian press is that they are going to hell.

Why? Hell? And do you know you are also including me?
Not you, but for those who always write and give false information about me and for blaspheming the prophet. Me and Jesus Christ, we are one, me I no dey follow Jesus Christ like Christian o, I am following Jesus Christ in a different way and in different form.

So, the Nigerian press that is running against the truth will go to hell, it’s not you I am referring to. Okay, who gave me rain maker? It was the Nigerian press that was good press like you. May God help you in your press profession.

It was good people like you then that gave me rain maker in the late 80s and I am sure you must be in secondary school then, abi I lie? They don’t take bribe, it is you that will use your sense to give them envelope, they don’t demand anything from you, and it is you that will give them, not them demanding for it.

But the press we have now will always demand for bribe. So, Nigerian press, no don’t let me use Nigerian press, let me say African press, is fed up because of bribery and corruption.

But would you agree with me that you are sick?
Yes, I was sick, anybody can be sick. What I have is spiritual problem which I am dealing with. Even in the Bible, it was stated that we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but wickedness in high places. Kenyan rapper and BBA former housemate, Prezzo, is now officially divorced. The high court of Nairobi approved the divorce case filed by his wife in May 2012 and ordered that the marriage be dissolved. The judge ordered Prezzo to pay a monthly child support of Sh50,000 for the upkeep of their baby who was born in March 2009.

The couple got married in December 2008 and were separated in November 2011 after Daisy filed for divorce on the ground of infidelity and assault on the part of Prezzo. According to her, Prezzo physically and verbally abused her, causing her mental stress and anxiety, and failed to abide by his financial responsibilities which led her into requesting financial assistance from her parents for the upkeep of their child.

He drinks heavily and consumes narcotic drugs almost on a daily basis after which he subjects me to verbal and physical abuse she said.

Prolific movie director and actor, Kunle Afolayan was recently dropped as a Glo ambassador (for the likes of Waje, Omawumi, MI and co) and even though the reason wasn't revealed, new findings claim that he was dropped because of SAKA - Saka the actor and new MTN ambassador (Afiz Ayetoro).


Prior to him being dropped as an ambassador, Kunle had a smooth relationship with the company and did not go against any terms in his contract and was really shocked at his termination.
According to Linda Ikeji, Kunle Afolayan was booted out when Globacom found out that one of the main characters in his Phone Swap movie (which was sponsored by Globacom) was Saka, an Etisalat face for many of their brands, at the time. (Before he ported to MTN ). Globacom sponsored the movie and when it eventually came out and they saw Saka in it, that was it!

One of Babcock's best graduating student, Margaret Okwuikpo, lost eight members of her family in a horrific auto accident on Friday May 31st in Port Harcourt. Margaret's father, grandmother, sisters, brothers and a cousin were on their way to her graduation ceremony, which was to take place on Sunday June 2nd, when the commercial bus they were traveling in crashed.
Margaret's mum, brother-in-law and two other people survived the accident and are being treated in the hospital. It is well with them...

“Our attention has been drawn to the libelous story posted on your website on 2nd June, 2013, on the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and which has now been circulated by other online websites and blogging groups.

“The post was full of fabrication and inaccuracies. Ordinarily this would have been best ignored. We are however constrained to write to you on account of the severe implications of the allegations for the integrity of the CBN, as an institution.

“It is also important to reaffirm our long-standing commitment to due process and international best practice in the discharge of every aspect of our statutory mandate.

“We wish to state that CBN is an equal opportunity employer, which prides itself with having female members of staff that possess the highest qualifications, competencies and skills. It is rather reprehensible for anyone to cast such aspersions on the qualifications and integrity of our female staff.

“That Dr. Maryam Yaro is a staff of the CBN at the level of Assistant Director and that she was recruited without due process, as she was not qualified for the role.

“Dr Maryam Yaro is not, and has never been an employee of the Central Bank of Nigeria. She was one of four consultants (three of whom were male), hired by the Nigeria Incentive-based Risk-sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL) Plc; on a one year contract, renewable on the basis of satisfactory performance. NIRSAL Plc is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up by the Federal Government of Nigeria, through a partnership between the CBN and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD).

“In the course of establishing NIRSAL, the Hon. Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, through a formal letter, recommended Dr Yaro to participate in the project as a Specialist on Rural Finance Access.

“Dr Yaro was hired after a rigorous selection process conducted by the NIRSAL Project Implementation Office. This clearly contradicts the claim that Dr Yaro was brought in by the CBN Governor.

“Contrary to allegation that the Governor expedited recruitment of Dr Yaro, the PIO’s recommendation to hire her as a Consultant was written on March 30, 2012 but only received final approval on June 20, 2012.

“It is pertinent to add that Dr Yaro’s academic qualifications and experience eminently qualify her for the job. She is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), who speaks three Nigerian languages, and has extensive experience working with farmers across the country on different agricultural programmes. She has also been a consultant to the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO); and was one of the experts working in the National Programme on Food Security before she was engaged by NIRSAL.

“Please find attached, the relevant documents in support of the facts stated above and we hope you will give this the same publicity you gave your initial story.

“We have noted that the other allegations in the post border on the person of the CBN Governor and are consistent with previous attacks. In line with the Governor’s usual practice of not responding to these libelous comments on his person, we have decided not to respond.

“The CBN shall remain resolute in the pursuit of its statutory mandates regardless of any attempt to distract the institution or its officers.

He is less than 18 but his performance superceded that of some adults that auditioned for the Glo X factor.
Unlike some of the performances that got us cracked up, this young Ghanian did something to us - we were touched.
His special rendition of Whitney Houston's "I look to you" was mind blowing!
M.I described his performance as "the most amazing voice he has heard in a long while" while Onyeka Onwenu who couldn't hold back her tears, embraced him and described the performance as symbolic.

The money is meant to be a reward to the fan, whose handle is @Bmillions1, for retweeting one of his tweets.

How the drama began:
Don Jazzy updated his handle on Twitter at about 1.37 pm on Saturday, with a tweet containing only a single dot (.) and no other message.

However, many of his followers may have classified the tweet an error, since no meaning could be attached to the post.

Surprisingly, two minutes after the post appeared on the social network, he wrote on his handle that @Bmillions! was the first to retweet the post and then, announced a N100, 000 for the latter.

He stated, “You have just won yourself N100,000 for just being the first person to retweet my “•” RT @Bmillions1.”

He immediately asked the lucky fan to send his bank details to him via direct messaging on the social network.

“@Bmillions1 send a direct message of your bank details sir. God bless. I’m waiting sir,” he said.

Showing appreciation after receiving the money, @Bmillions1 tweeted at 2.52pm on Saturday, “Thank you very much @DONJAZZY for the 100k. Thanks bro. God bless.”

The development created a buzz on Twitter as tens of his followers went on to retweet the post with the expectation that he might decide to reward more people.

When Mrs. Prisca Ashiegbu struggled with her husband and finally got pregnant after seven years of fervent prayers to God for the fruit of the womb, she never imagined that she would have to go through so much sufferings and pain, waiting another two years before she eventually "pushed" the baby out.

Below is the story of this beautiful woman who got her first baby after nine years...
The nine years of childless marriage to her husband, Henry, was rough but the agaony was forgotten when she was delivered of her “miracle baby” on February 2, 2013.Married in January 2004, the couple who hail from Abazu village in Imo State was not so anxious about having a child in the first year of the marriage. However, they stated their journey of praying and waiting on God by the second year.

For many years, they went from one hospital to another searching for a solution to their childlessness and it was during one of such hospital visits that a scan revealed that Prisca had fibroid.

The doctors said the only solution was for Prisca to undergo surgery but the stories the couple heard about having surgery to remove fibroid didn’t encourage them to go on with the treatment.

“I have always had this phobia of going for surgery especially when it concerns fibroid. I have heard a lot of stories and the stories were not good. Many women had lost their lives in the process and we didn’t know where to go and who to trust. Some other stories we heard were that if one does not conceive within three months after removing the fibroid, it will grow back. I didn’t want my wife to go for the surgery because I had already made up my mind that I’ll rather remain childless than lose my wife to the ailment,” Henry, the husband said.

He further stated that in the search for a solution, they spent a lot of money. “We went to several hospitals and they all said the same thing. We were thinking of the best option that will help reduce the size of the fibroid and hope that pregnancy will occur. We went to a hospital in Abuja and were told that the fibroid could not even be operated upon at the level it was. My wife had to take injection that cost N35,000 each for a period of three months to reduce the size of the fibroid,” Henry added, stressing that when this too failed, they resorted to traditional medicine and were referred to a woman in Gwagwalada, who treated his wife following which she conceived.

He told Leadership that the joy of the pregnancy was cut short when several scans did not reveal the presence of a baby growing in his wife.

“There were physical changes to suggest that she was pregnant but everywhere we went to, they kept telling us what they could see was the fibroid and not a baby but the case was different for the traditional medicine practitioners who confirmed that she was indeed pregnant. The baby, according to the woman, who treated my wife was growing alongside the fibroid. The woman continued her treatment trying to reduce the size of the fibroid so that the baby will mature because the fibroid was delaying the growth of the foetus and when it was nine months, Prisca who is a teacher by profession applied for a maternity leave.

“The situation we were in is better imagined. I resumed and people were asking me how my baby was and I told them the baby was okay. But after three months, my stomach was still big and people became suspicious, with some wondering if I was pregnant again. In fact one of my students asked me if I was pregnant again,” Prisca said.

The couple was in a dilemma. They could not go for surgery as the doctors had not confirmed that the woman was pregnant while those who had confirmed the pregnancy did not have the requisite knowledge and equipment to operate on her. They resorted to prayers, hoping that a miracle should happen.

Prisca’s sister, Mrs. Justina Amadi, told them of a woman in Aba who could help them and when they got there, the woman who also works in a clinic examined her and told her that she felt the baby but when Prisca went for a scan in the same clinic, the baby was not seen.

From Aba, Henry, a staff of the Embassy of Iran, said they headed for Port Harcourt, where they had been told about a woman who was pregnant for one year and nine months and found her solution.

“Early December 2012, we went to Owerri. It was a woman who was a friend to my wife’s sister who directed us to Port Harcourt. She told us that if she had delivered after a year and nine months pregnancy, my wife should have faith that she too will deliver. She directed us to the person who helped her when everyone had given up,” Henry said, adding that after some initial challenges, they were able to locate the traditional medicine practitioner, who examined his wife and confirmed that there was a baby and the baby was still alive.

“She said because the fibroid was sharing space with the baby, the baby wasn’t mature so she will have to place me on treatment for one month and give me medicine that will make the fibroid shrink and give the baby space to grow. This was happening in December, 2012. We started the treatment and we saw progress,” Prisca narrated, adding that after one month, the woman told her she could come for delivery as the baby would have been mature by then.

We went there on a Monday and on Tuesday, I continued with the exercise. I started dancing all kinds of dance steps including those I danced as a child. Everyone was calling, they were worried. She later gave me another drug and after I took it, I started purging. Around 12.30pm, she told me that it was time. I didn’t even feel any labour pains and within a period of 15 minutes,the baby was born. My sister was crying. It was really a miracle,” she said.

The birth of Emmanuel Ebubechukwu, the miracle baby, brought joy to his parents. They have taken their experience as a way God wanted to use them to help and encourage other people in similar situations.

In truth, I don’t joke when it comes to the issue of my relationship with God. Sometimes I go on long days of dry fasting while on location, without eating anything.
It’ll never affect my mood even when I’m on set. That’s me. For instance in my church, we do our annual 21 days of fasting and prayer and most of the times, it coincides with the days I would have to be on location. I don’t break the fast, and it has never affected the role I play or how I act in movies."

For a while now, D’Banj and his management team have been planning to sign in rapper Olamide to the his label, however, Olamide turned down the Koko master’s offer, preffering to roll alone for now.
Olamide, who does not want to play the fool at this phase of his career, politely told D’Banj that he was not ready to surrender some of his powers, especially having to be booked for shows only by D’Banj’s management outfit, pleaded for time to even think about the offer as he still wants to work with his present team and taking things as they come for now.
He believes that for now, there is nothing D’BANJ could do for him that he can’t do by himself.
In the future, I will consider his offer. If anybody wants me, he should have unfettered access to me. I am just starting out in the profession’, he allegedly told close friends.

“Apparently, he would have been blocked from having direct access to his clients and that will reduce his share from his appearance fees. He does not like the bottle necks and some terms that will make it difficult for him to be reached all because D’Banj wants his value to rise. He added that the success that Olamide is enjoying now informed his decision to opt out of the deal because there is nothing, apart from management offer, that he stands to benefit from.
“Olamide can be easily reached by anybody and his fees are still okay. The moment he signs the deal, he will be getting fewer shows, though huge fees, but will lose many of his grassroot fans to the elitist crowd D’Banj belongs” he added.

According to tale-bearers within the Yoruba movie industry circle, Lizzy, as she is fondly called by her friends, has allegedly taken her pregnancy to three different men, none of whom has accepted responsibility for the unborn baby.
Digs done by First Weekly Magazine showed that Liz Da Silva first went to MC Oluomo, who allegedly slept with her on the night of Oshodi Day, which held in December 2012, but MC Oluomo reportedly denied responsibility for the pregnancy.
Rumour-mongers told First Weekly that shortly after this, Liz turned to one Akeem, who shuttles between Nigeria and the UK, who she dated while she was shooting her movie, which she premiered in October 2012 at White House, Ikeja, Lagos, but that he also rejected the pregnancy.
