Ibracadabra: Yes o! I did my NPC, medicals and Police Report yesterday! And when I got to d house in d evening, I was so tired, but I felt like SUPERMAN lol...
I had to go to d High Court in Ikeja- which because of d ban on Okada, was too stressful because d court is in GRA Ikeja. Anyway, I eventually got der by 9 and as soon as I alighted from my keke marwa, a full breasted woman came running to me- All she said was "Affidavit"? I nodded and we proceeded into d court premises. She asked me to sit down and asked what sorta affidavit I needed. I told her it was an age-declaration affidavit and she said I needed an older family member to swear on my behalf. To cut long story short- I ended up parting with 1 thousand bucks and in 30 mins I left d court smiling and off to surulere for my NPC attestation of birth... I provided photocopy of my affidavit, my Intl Passport data page, 2 passport photographs and typed one form like that theu gave me for 100 bucks. I then deposited 2,500 and was told to come pick up my birth certificate on d 12th... I was relieved spending a total of 3500 instead of d 8k I was told to bring by d Mr Lawan... Anyway, that spurred me- I went to Ikoyi immediately, stopped at Falomo bus stop and just before d Bus stop is Raymond Njoku Street wherein d Consultant's Practice Hospital is located.. I was given a slip to go to Zenith bank and pay 12k... I did immediately as Zenith bank is just a stone's throw from der. When I returned to d hospital, I was given a red tag with which I did my blood tests, then X-Ray, then a sexy female doc did a body check-up on me.. It was a delightful experience and she asked y I was headed to Hurricane Sandy territory... Anyway... I ended up paying an extra 16,500 for vaccines- bringing my total medicals cost to N28,500... I was told to come back on Friday... I checked my watch, it was 10 past 2pm and I took a cab to Alagbon Police Station (cab cost me 1k cos there were no bikes and d sun was ever blazing) anyway, I got der and a young man named Ahmed came to my aid. He took me in and had a police lady take my finger prints- all ten fingers- and then in 30 minutes my police character certificate was ready- signed and sealed... I gave Ahmed 5k for his troubles, but I'm sure if I went in alone, I may have bargained a much cheaper cost... But I didn't mind- and just like I said, I was tired, but felt like a Superman...
Apologies for d long post Very detailed Journey... Pls what are the relevant vaccines one need to take at least the one they charged you for. |

ola4yinka: Pls house need to clarify something, after playing as a married person n u are selected can u go for the interview alone and tell them that u wish to let ur partner n children join u later that u want to go alone and get settled in first?.... Secondly, is it ok to go with 2012 ssce result with 2004 gce.. Pls response needed, thanks. I will advice you to do all things possible for both of you to migrate at the same time, apart from the fact dt arranging for dem later will be difficult. They may doubt whether ur marriage is genuine or not. If u cant process together now u may need to wait for another 5yrs to achieve dt. As for ur Result it alright to use both: make sure it's a genuine result. God bless. |

Kemzone2003: Preparing for the Interview
Applicants in DV interviews are required to demonstrate that they had met the educational or employment qualifications for the DV program when they applied for the DV. Bringing original transcripts and mark sheets from your university or high school (SSCE WAEC/NECO,NABTEB ETC) education will help to demonstrate educational history. Providing detailed information about employment and job responsibilities will help to demonstrate work experience. Note that very few people qualify for the DV based on their work experience. A consular officer will determine if an individual applicant's employment meets the requirements for the DV program.
Below is a checklist of documents to bring to your interview. Please assemble them in the following order and bring original documents:
1.For Principal Applicant (DV Winner):
•Appointment Letter •Two photographs (2” X 2”) •Passport •Birth Certificate •Divorce Decree (If Applicable) •Marriage Certificate •Police Certificate •Academic Certificates for all degrees •Medical test report •Photocopies of all the above documents •Postal Address in the U.S
2.For DV Winner's Spouse (Husband/Wife):
•Two photographs (2” X 2”) •Passport •Birth Certificate •Divorce Decree (If Applicable) •Medical test report •Police Certificate •Photocopies of all the above documents
3.For Children(Less than 21yrs Old):
•Two photographs (2” X 2”) •Passport •Birth Certificate •Police Certificate (If child is above 16 years) •Medical test report •Photocopies of all the above documents Note: All civil documents issued in the local language must be accompanied by an official translation in English. Thanks alot Kemsone this is really explicit.You are blessed. |

Don Kool: It was part of the package i presented. Everything from SSCE, school testimonial, nysc, B.Sc, to certificates received from training's at my work place. Una don train me WELL for this forum, i no wan come back come fall una hand. i put every every for education wey i get get give them.
NOTE though: (For others like myself who are still young in DV- I know say Brightmon na resource man) - note that i did this (added nysc, BSc and work training) becos i used work experience not because i was asked to show it. For those using education, the minimum is SSCE/GCE.
Amen to all those who have prayed in faith for victory and thanks to all who have posted congratulatory and well-wishing messages. Congrat!!! Pls which Birth Cert type did you used? i.e NPC,Local.... Pls shed more light |

Please I will like the House to advice on this issue: the wife of a friend of mine won the DV lottery 2013, But Unfortunately the wife put 10-10-1974 for the husband as DOB, which is a true DOB for the Husband, But on his Epassport reads 10-10-1973 on it. What do you suggest he should do to rectify this, since its very difficult to change the info on the epass. Other info about their children were correct. |
