Hello FrontPageLawyer Justwise Jarus ekpotek and all members, i need your candid advise please.
I plan to apply for a standard visitor visa (6 months), and confused on how to correctly represent my application giving my scenario:
1. I have a 1.5m savings and a separate running salary account with about 250k monthly.
2. Spent about 4 years in the UK on Student visa over 8 years ago.. not sure that counts anymore.
3. can get a Invitation letter, please whats the best type (i.e. relation btw invitee and myself)
4. My company employed me to service a client permanently. Both coys are willing to give me an introductory letter stating i am an employee going on leave to return in a week. My thinking is its better to use one. The client company is Global however my salary description is from my employer- hence my dilemma.
Thanks for your contributions. |

MissCokie:
No Man Deserves To Be Called A Broke Ass: Get Your Priorities Straight Before Judging Him.
Our present day women have lost their focus and priorities. We have lost the golden rules. How can You tag a struggling man as a broke ass, while you can't afford to eat comfortably without the help of your parents! , even your parents can't feed well, yet you transfer your responsibilities on someone else who is far from being your father, mother, brother or even relatives, haba!.
Most of them, even go further to make a list of some silly things a guy must have, before they can go on a date with him. He must have a car, stay in a cool apartment, have a good source of income, bla bla bla . my sister why cant you struggle to have all those things yourself. Why must you depend on a man to take away your miserable responsibilities. This same broke girls would end up shouting "Feminism" , "Women Equality" up and down, yet you can't even help yourself. All you want to do, is to sit your silly ass down, get bleeped a million times, spend money, get dumbed, and the circle continues!. Please respect yourself.
Majority of us, now focus our lives on social media, seeking for cheap likes etc, going nude just to get attention. Acting silly everyday for 365days with empty brains and zero productivities. Congratulations.
We should learn how to respect and support our guys who are still struggling to get their lives together, and not to become a liability to them.
Slay Queens and Slay Mama, this message is for you. While you're busying slaying, remember a lady is someone slaying with affluence and i am one of them(BOLD).
You slay queens allow material gain to becloud your reasoning, no wonder you all end up being slayed by ritualist or a Yahoo guy. Please get your priorities straight and change your focus. If you can channel 0.1% of your slaying energy to something productive,I am sure you would definitely help make the world a better place.
If you're married, and yet you claim to be a slay mama, Your time would surely elapse, and all your stupid lifestyle would come knocking on your door . Because you would end up being kicked out of your marriage, and someone else who has more brain and dignity would replace you. You can't eat your cake and have it back.
If he is broke today, remember he won't be broke forever. No condition is permanent. Get your priorities straight, saddle yourself and be productive. Cookie so on point- hard to find ladies with such right-minded ladies these day,,, all na slay this slay that....It doesnt matter if your a made man or not, you need a right thinking lady. one thousand kisses for you cookie.... lovely post |

Travel › Re: I Have Gotten A Full Time Job In Canada. by kaysce(m): 11:45am On Jun 30, 2017 |
Obeledu: My journey to Canada started with two earlier threads I posted on Nairaland as can been seen on the following links.
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-570972.0.html
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-272024.0.html
I decided to join my family in Calgary and face the challenges on July 2011. Before finally relocating to Canada I had plan of gaining employment in
the Canadian oil industries as a rig technician. The reason being that it is easy to get and also the pay is very good so far you can endure working
in a hostile weather conditions.
When I landed, I went and registered with Calgary Catholic Immigration services (this is government sponsored trainer for entry level in the oil
industries). I was invited for both oral and written interview, and to my greatest surprise I was not selected. It was very painful as I had no plan B,
meanwhile the money I had with me was going down seriously because of large family (family of five).
After much thought I went to job agency, I must emphasise that agency job are readily available but the problem is they are mostly temporary jobs.
You can be lucky and get hired by the parent company after about three months. The jobs are mostly warehouse jobs with payment range of $14-
$20/hr payment. The agent was able to get a job for me in an electrical assembly plant the next day with a payment of $17.5/hr.
With this I was able to pay my bill and take care of my family. The job was more of physical than brain work, so I wasn’t comfortable with it. I
started submitting my resume to different telecommunication companies since that’s my major in Nigeria. I must say that I used Craigslist most of
the time and also looking up directly on the company websites. I started getting invitation for interview, after three series of interview I finally got an offer letter. I never applied for engineering positions. You cannot come from Nigeria and secure any engineering position without first undergoing
one year upgrade program. All my application was as telecommunication technician.
The problem most of us Nigerian especially easterners face here is the accent problem. The oyibo here don’t usually understand our English.
After staying few months here I must admit that Nigeria is very lovely place to stay. When I was in Nigeria there is no weekend that will pass without you having one occasion to attend. Those things make life more enjoyable, but you can never see those things here. Please i need your advise... i am thinking of moving to canada/australia currently, i am employed but salary is getting easily eroded by the increasing cost of living. i have marketing and PM experience and a uk MSc. Bases on your onground experiences, please what are the prospects for me abi make i just just chill jejely with this naija and hope for the best. Abeg advise |

Aflowz: Good day nairalanders,I have been on this forum for quite some time though not really active.I will try as much as possible to be eloquent in writing, short & sharp.
To the point- I have been working on a huge long term project for a while(a project for a federal university in the country). Its a hostel project based on Build,Operate and Transfer. Now the problem is I need a financier because a really substantial amount of money is involved(a nine figure amount). Note that I have done majority of the work eg inquiry & acquisition of land, architectural drawings & designs,BOQ and so on. I can describe myself as a young, vibrant, versatile gentleman willing to meet like minds here. Anyone interested in linking me to a financier will be surely and hugely rewarded.
NB: I do not have any collateral I have written various proposals I have visited various persons and banks. In need of a financiers/partners as the case may be Please feel free to ask any question or quote me for further details Firstly, its sounds like a scam which is begining to trend again in nigeria(no collateral), and u are not taking any risk and leaving all d risk to partners. What happens if u pack up and abandon d project. These are some of the risks being seen whic is y u avnt being getting any interests from any quarters. However I ave access to some financiers but do not have creatives, but I would like to ave a lot more verifiable information as I will scrutinize all your info b4 risking my intergrity with my financiers. |

i absolutely agree with all u have said... a united black race/country is what they dont want, they need us more than we need them, all they have now are their policies, where do they get minerals/natural resources, vast agriculture and a sizeable emerging labour force from? America will not interfere with any issue(national or domestic) they do not have an interest/stake in (clinton himself said this during the hutu/tutsi genocide war of rwanda. other presidents have said same. its call modern/modernized slavery. you have the feeling that you are independent, but in reality u are not so long as they interfere in ur affairs. mugabe(a true fighter) challenged the UN at their conference saying: the US and enitre UN has expressed dislike and displeasure with the manner the US ambassador to Libya was killed tragically, but the previous year, they was a barbaric death of a UN member and African head of state- Ghadaffi, why was the manner of death not also condemned. many might no know that the US pressured the UN to give it authority to enter libya under the pretense of a peace keeping mission, after which they started throwing bombs and ghadaffi was killed. bombs are not to be used during peace keeping- but during war. Ghadaffi was no saint, just like clinton and bush are not, but he decided not to followed the west but uplift his people(maybe a little to late). do ur research, infra-structurally, libya supersedes naija. look once an african leader is doing the bidding of the west, that leader would be praised even if he commits murder, but once he doesnt not do their bidding, he would be painted black and heinous crimes would be accredited to him . kinibigdeal: Exactly!! People should read history and don't just believe the term expressed by "BBC or CNN"..in the Nigeria of today, we see Americans like god, any political differences we are going to america to report ourselves or we either see ICC as our mediator, we have now become their puppet. As small as Ghana is, they maintain their integrity not to talk of zimbabwian, that is why nigeria will continue to have political crisis until we become independent. The white are never happy that nigerians are united, they just want to fulfill their national interest, bet me nigeria is a threat to the world if we stand united, we remain the voice of the black nation in the world, so they don't want that happening. Ask yourself this question "why was shekau included as one of the most influential in the world and not "bin laden", how did bokohoram manage to wire their e-transfer fund from america -iran - yemen - Niger- Nigeria? Why did they block GEJ administration from acquiring sophisticated weapon to fight bokoharam if not for their greatest foe "russia? With their master class surveyance satellite monitoring every country in the world, can you tell me they don't know the where about of the chibok girls and shekau if he still exist though? When they easily survey the where about of osama bin ladin! A report last week by CNN claimed 50 chibok girls were seen in gwoza with their surveyance equipment, the question is, if you see them, why not rescue them? Nigerians should wake up and know who is the real enemy! |

Rogert Mugabe is probably the last lion that will roar for Africa. how can you be truly independent if your colonial masters still run 2/3 of the main national Income earner (farming), and they employ black farmers. can any one of u allow a stranger who enters you home(by force or with ur consent) to be controlling critical affairs of your home and lord over u and your family- would you still honestly claim to be the owner of the home it is important to note that befor he carried out the plan of chasing the farmers, he had petitioned the UK govt to dialogue over the issue and after delaying and promising for years they told him in no clear terms to **** himself... i like for u to imagine, u have a problem in ur home and instead of u immediately getting rid of the problem, u reach out to others for help, they BS u, what would u do.... kinibigdeal: I disagree on that of Mugabe, maybe am one of his supporter here in Nigeria. To buttress my point, as long as I condemn mugabe for being too long in power I refuse to refer him as a "tyrant" as regarded by the white supported by african puppet.
Simple reasons-
1. Zimbabwians citizen have been under the oppression of the white migrant before the emergence of Mugabe, to cut the history to its size, Mugabe discovered that the most fertile part of the zimbabwian soil has been occupied by the white farmer while the blacks were limited to a soil-less land for farming, not only that, the black farmers were restricted from entering those fertile areas, nor work in those areas except they want to be used as labour in their own country. These infuriate Mugabe which make's him to chase those white out of those areas by re-distributing among its citizen, the white farmer responded by reporting Mugabe to UN which led to the total break down of the economy, the UN withdraw aid, foreign exchange and even failed to buy their natural minerals. I won't forget the question mugabe ask the whites "how many blacks have a huge farmland in britain", that led to Mugabe blackmail till date. |

A dictator he is ( to some extent though) but being totally bad, NO. european & american security agents even connived with the opposition leader to assassinate him but failed because he's people raised the alarm.
I think he should be on the list, but Mobutu Seseseko of Zaire should be on this list. |

xrisdon: Buhari promised to kill corruption if elected!
http://leadership.ng/news/417280/ill-kill-corruption-in-nigeria-buhari
But here is my personal submission.....
buhari can never kill corruption!!!
he couldn't kill corruption when he had absolute power as military dictator, but think he can do it now as a constitutional president, what a joke!!!
first, buhari do not know how to fight corruption! supposing he did know, Nigeria would have been corrupt free by now, because buhari was once a head of state!
secondly, l prefer Gej's way of fighting corruption to that of buhari!
buhari believes in fighting corruption by jailing people with little or no care on the root cause!
while Gej on the other hand believes in building corrupt free system that can last even when he is no longer there!!
but unfortunately most Nigerians prefer action with no result,
for instant, do you know how many people buhari would have sent to jail because of fertilizer scam without solving the problem itself! but Gej came in change the corrupt system that have been there for years even to the time of buhari, But now it is impossible for corrupt people to operate with the new system without making too much noise about it. Cow, Bush pig....... ur caption is deceptive because its claims to intend to do a comparison of GMB vs GEJ. but ur article is full of rants without substance. Ur ave deceived everyone who opened this link expecting a comparison, just as ur PDP and GEJ is deceiving their family not US. You also didnt mention any style of GEJ against corruption... because.... its non existent..... please go and invest the dollars they gave u well ooo, dnt spend it frivolously because its the end of the Corrupt largesse that GEJ wold benefit u.. come March 28th,...... Christianity Etc › Re: 20 Common Dreams And Spiritual Warfare (please Read) by kaysce(m): 10:29am On Mar 10, 2015 |
efepro: Before I go on, I want to make a few important points 1. When you have a negative or warfare dream, it signifies either what has taken place, what is taking place or what your enemies are planning against your life. All of these cases require that you pray against what was revealed to you in your dream.
2. Just because you have a negative dream about someone doesn’t mean the negative thing you saw has to happen. For example, if you dreamt that somebody died. It doesn’t mean they have to die. God is just alerting you to the plans of the enemy so you can stand in the gap for the person you saw in the dream.
3. Not having dreams at all or always forgetting your dreams is an attack against you. If the means God uses many times to tip you of of the enemy’s plan is blocked, how would you know what is going on against you so you can
Let me also mention that not every dream indicate warfare. If you go to bed with a negative thought, you may have a negative dream connected with that thought. I will like to show you how to trace the presence of spiritual warfare in the life of the dreamer.
These dreams listed below reveal the Devil's hand: 1. Sexual encounter in dreams. This is a very common warfare dream, but since most people find it embarrassing, they usually will not talk about it. There are two spirits the enemy sends against men and women in their dreams. The first is known as Incubus, which is a spirit that sleeps with women in their dreams. The other is Succubus, which is a spirit that sleeps with men in their dreams. These spirits may use the faces of ex-lovers, friends or such. They may even come as people of same sex. Unless you wake up and wage serious spiritual warfare, one or all of the following may take place in the life of the dreamer: Difficulty getting married. # Difficult marital problems. # Difficulty getting pregnant. # Difficulty in the area of finances.
2. Dreams that result in affliction with the spirit of poverty. There are so many people today suffering serious oppression from the spirit of poverty. Usually people are tipped off in their dreams but because of lack of knowledge, nothing is done until the manifestation takes place. If you find yourself in the following situations in your dream, you need to start praying against the spirit of poverty: # Possession of counterfeit money. # Wallet stolen from you. # Wearing rags, shoes with holes. # Begging for money, food, etc. # Loss of cash, wallet, checkbook or paycheck. # Bank door closing in your face.
3. unclothedness in a dream. If you find yourself naked in a dream and you frantically look for clothes to cover your unclothedness, this means that the enemy is about to bring embarrassment and disgrace into your life.
4. Removal of hair in the dream. In women, your hair represents glory. Hence, the removal of it in a dream is very significant. You need to pray against your glory being tampered with by the enemy.
5. Dreams that indicate witchcraft activities. # Being pursued by mentally deranged person. # Attacks by dangerous animals. # Being shot with gun or arrow in a dream. # Feeling pressed down on the bed and unable to get up even when awake. # Bats. These usually indicate that hypocrites are going to be set loose against you. # Cobwebs and spiders. These and other Halloween favorites point to witchcraft activities. It is not unusual for such dreamers to wake up and literally run into cobwebs all day.
6. Dreams that indicate attack of profitless and confused life. # Traveling but not reaching your destination. # Traveling to unknown destination. # Driving in a fog or in a cloud of dust.
7. Dreams that indicate warfare of delay. # Waiting for a bus, taxi, ship, train, airplane or any mode of transportation that never comes. # Traveling in a traffic hold up.
8. Almost there but never there. There are people whose lot in life seems to be that just before they get something good, it is snatched from them. Such people are under the attack of what I call, "almost there but never there." Such people have dreams along these lines: # Not finishing examinations before time expires. # Doors closing before they get inside. # Free gifts finishing before it gets to their turn on the distribution line.
9. Dreams that indicate attacks against the dreamer's spiritual life. These dreams should alert the believer to the fact that the enemy wants to downgrade their spiritual walk. # Smoking or consuming alcohol in the dream. # Eating in the dream. This is usually followed by a period of weariness, tiredness and laziness in prayer. Just as physical food weighs down the eater physically, so does this weigh the dreamer down spiritually. # Drinking and bathing in dirty water. This is nothing but spiritual and even physical poisoning. # Loss of Bibles.
10. Dreams that indicate loss. # Having abortion in a dream # Loosing blood in a dream # Taken to an unfamiliar location and abandoned. These dreams, foretell of loss of intimate friends and good relationships. They have also resulted in loss of favours in the lives of many dreamers.

12. Contact with the dead. Many dreamers can find themselves having contacts with their dead relatives, ancestors and friends. I have heard of people who even pray for such dreams. The living has nothing to do with the dead. The powers of darkness have been known to utilize such dreams to transfer sicknesses and diseases into the life of the dreamer. In many cases, it turns out to be the same sickness that killed the person they dreamt about. Even more serious, such dreamers have been exposed to familiar spirits through such contacts.
13. Attack by armed robbers Such dreams denote the existence of serious obstacles in the life of the dreamer.

19. Children crying or screaming out in their sleep. This should give every caring parent concern. Only God knows the nature of the attack such children might have been subjected to while asleep. The children concerned need to be prayed for.
20. Dreams dealing with darkness Any dream dealing with darkness should be paid attention to. i want to agreed with this analysis, cos some have seem to explain my situations particularly sexually encounters. i seem to have sex alot but even when i fall in love and its beautiful, there is always a circumstance that just ends the relationship without both parties being able to explain nor point to the root cause. i have had dream of being alone depressed and lost in a dark abyss, and out of nowhere a giant, enormous eagle landed in-front of me and stared at me, i was dead scared cos it seemed like David vs Goliath sizes. then it bowed its head for mi to climb ontop it, i hesitated but then saw my sis whom assured mi to climb aborad. we went flying on this large eagle across land and oceans while there was some sort of war and fire going in some parts of the land n sea. Though the bird took me and my sis on quite a journey and ended up in an enclosure in a rock with waterspring where i saw my mum with whom i had an argument; after a period this HUGE bird(bigger than a plane) beckoned on us to alight it and took me back to where it had pick me from. another i had where i was playin with friends and the i went to a corner to pee, adjacent the corner was a dark cloud but i saw a prid of lion emerge from this dark with a crown on the male lion leading the pack. the fear that grabbed me cant be explained, i ran back to tell my friends dat we should run but they didn't believe me. we went on playin and then these pride appeared and attacked. every one scattered, i just stood still and while these lions attacked everyother person, they ignored me. i walked up behind a lion who was eating up a friend, it turned his head to look at me turned away, two others walked beside me while i was shaking, they went on to attacke other persons. i saw my self sleepn and awoke to see a female lion lying next to me (like ur pet dog would), she raised her head to look at me roared and put it down looking around while another stood watch in front of me..... i woke up with sweat all over my body..... i get some crazy dreams that scares me |
