Make them keep trying till everything settle for this clearing work but try get a physical office where clients can locate them cos if this e-Valuation start, over 50% of the clearing work can actually be done right from the comfort of our home or offices, our presence will only be needed at Tincan for shipping company and terminal processes

That was because they said e-Valuation is supposed to commence today... For now i've suspended my car clearing work for now till this e-Valuation takes effect properly, i have another work that's sustaining me

Send me the application number and the approval for the prepaid meter you already ordered for, I can help u finish the process of getting it, remember should get two Moore meters not one cos the tenant and the pumping machine will have separate meters.

Henceforth the system will automatically generate what u will pay once your VREG has been done. The VREG self is not free, u will pay to get it done but it's cheap sha, not more than N15,000 to do it.

N950k will clear 2011, N750k will clear 2009 But start preparing for the use of Form M cos starting February 1, 2022 all these questions of how much to clear this and that will no longer be relevant as the cost of your vehicle in USD will be your official CIF Value

Finally we are moving close to the era of e-Valuation... This has been what i've always wanted, From the day i stepped my foot into Tincan Island Port and realized we have to go and queue just to collect valuation, i was really mad and question why can't this be done electronically.

Well this is to officially announce to importers that the amount you bought your vehicle in USD is now the CIF Value for that vehicle starting from February 2022 just like i've always said in my other thread on How to Calculate The Total Cost Of Clearing Your Car From Tincan Island Port.

The implication is
1. No more paying custom officer to get valuation
2. Even release and gate fit no get shishi from us, but we go try roger them small sha
3. everyone will pay the real and actual duty which apparently will be more than what is being paid but no more settlement to custom officers on the road
4. The whole clearing process will be a lot more easier and faster
5. Importers can actually pay everything directly by himself then settle agent only his agency fee.
6. All these question of how much is to clear this, how much is to clear that will no longer be there

My expectation
This 35% duty rate should be brought down to like 10% or 15% that way cost of clearing will reduce and more importers will be attracted to Nigerian Ports thereby creating jobs for the people and revenue for the Government.

let me explain to u..

If a car was supposed to pay 3million duty... U bribe customs with 700,000 and u pay 1.5miliion duty.

Even at that, patrol customs(FOU) extort money from u from 50,000 upwards on the road for the next few months or years.

But with the e-invoice, u get the 3million invoice and pay the correct duty.. No more bribes and settlement at the ports or on the road..

To me as a clearing agent, I will be loosing over 80% of what I normally see as profit cos of these bribes..

But as a Nigerian, for the greater good, its the best thing that can happen to customs issues cos the fraud too much.

NB.. This my explanation applies to car imports alone which is my area of specialisation..

This means that valuation money, release and gate we no go dey am again including all those custom officers disturbing on the road, but duty will go up Ooo.... I pray they reduce the 35% to like 10 % or 15% so that everything will balance, that will make other shippers that uses Cotonou route to start using Nigerian Ports

With N2m surface, the total charge can reach up to N3.4m

For the 2013, u may have to transfer the vehicle to Classic terminal cos u won't get that surface at Fivestar terminal. If u want to transfer it, start the transfer process before the vehicle lands. But with 800k/900k surface u can finish with N1.5m
