If u never get prepaid meter, this January is the right time to start the process with parts of your house rent, no mind any landlord wahala, na only shout them go shout, last last they will calm down.... Use your house rent to get your meter now and balance the landlord what's left.

After these statements i made since Feb 2021, FG finally started allowing customers to either apply for the free meter or apply for the paid meter, this is the best way to go cos the exclusively free meter application system has caused alot of damage in the system. You guys outside this our work may not understand.

NERC Proposed options for metering implementation going forward:

1. To allow the implementation of both the NMMP and MAP metering frameworks to run concurrently

2. To continue with the current MAP framework with meters procured under the NMMP supplied only through MAPs (by being off-takers from the local manufacturers/assemblers)

3. To wind down the MAP framework and allow the DisCos to procure meters directly from local manufacturers/assemblers (or as procured by the WB), and enter into new contracts for the installation and maintenance of such meters.

Very soon we all will have the option to choose if we want to pay for our prepaid meters or get the free one from the FG. Work is in progress...

Meanwhile you can still apply, we will let u know the outcome. For me personally, I prefer option 1

By the time NERC is done with the regulations at hand now, we just hope people are given a choice to either apply and pay for meter or apply and wait for the free meter, by then, the choice will be yours.

But in whichever way, application fee is constant. You will have to pay for that.

The Federal Government has raised the cost of both single-phase and three-phase electricity meters beginning from November 15, 2021.

It announced this in a circular dated November 11, 2021, issued by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and addressed to managing directors, all electricity distribution companies and all meter asset providers.

The circular, with reference number NERC/REG/MAP/GEN/751/2, was entitled ‘Review of the unit price of end-use meters under the Meter Asset Provider and National Mass Metering Regulations’.

In the document, the regulator raised the price of a single-phase meter from the current cost of N44,896.17 to a revised price of N58,661.69. It also increased the price of a three-phase meter from the current cost of N82,855.19 to a revised rate of N109,684.36.

The answer above on clearing cost is correct. The USD Rate for CIF today is N405/USD

Yes u can convert it, there is no pros and cons... What u have is half engine so it's remaining the coil, casine and some few others to get a power generator, if u are in Lagos, take the engine to alaba international to get it converted... You will still spend up to 30k to finish

These vehicles definitely come with Salvage titles and they are cleared for 1.6m. So how much is it to clear the Clean title of this same vehicle.

Custom doesn't look at salvage or clean title, all they need is vehicle's make and model and they'll give value

If your vehicle is coming through Sallaum line to Five-star terminal and you want it cleared at Fivestar terminal, kindly come for a stepdown to avoid it going to CLASSIC terminal.
