The situation is even pathetic now when you see
Nigerians ( in Lagos) prefer Cotonou garri to that
of Ijebu, buy cotonou pineapple and they say it is
better than that of Nigeria. That is why frozen
foods will be exported to Cotonou from farms
like that of obasanjo repacked and imported back
to Nigeria because they know Nigerians always
prefer made in outside Nigeria goods .
That is why you will see an expatriate
renumeration will be juicy than that of his Nigeria
counterpart even if that Nigerian is more
certificated than d expatriate ( This also happen
in government parastatals).
Any nation that import majorly foreign made
goods/ services rather than producing their own
are hurting its people....
When we keep importing foreign made products
into Nigeria, we keep importing poverty into our
country and exporting jobs abroad...
Lt's go back to the land to grow and patronise
MADE IN NIGERIA products...

There must be a change of attitude for foreign goods by nigerians

What is baffling however is why some Yorubas are jubilating.

Saraki may actually have a case to answer. But the truth remains that those who want him out besides bitter APC Yorubas do so plainly because he is Yoruba.That's all!

Has Dr. Saraki come to the end of the road, politically? Well, maybe not, in Nigeria anything can happen.

But if indeed he has nothing to hide, it worries the mind as to why he tried to (through the back door) prevent the case brought against him by the CCB at the CCT from going to full trial. Now that the SC has rightly ruled his case lacks merit, (meaning his attempt to use loopholes in the law to ridicule the law failed), what next for him?

Here are three options (amongst many others):

1. Resign honourably
This is the standard procedure for public officials accused of impropriety in other climes! To protect the office he currently occupies (Office of the Senate President) and to avoid a conflict of interest while he has has his day in court to clear his name from the mud.

Two scenarios are possible at the end of his trial:

A- He is found "not guilty", and so, he's left off the hook. But considering the gravity of evidence against him, this possibility would be interesting.

B- He is found "guilty", and the law runs it full course.

2. Refuse to resign
To ignobly hold on to the Office of Senate President in spite of the corruption trial he is facing, he would need to rally the support of senators to further polarize the Senate, his party (APC) and even Nigeria in order to forestall the commencement of impeachment proceedings against him.

This line of action would really be unfortunate but at the end, we hope justice will be served, no matter whose ox is gored.

3. Get a soft landing.
In the past under previous administrations, corruption cases, such as this, against high ranking public officers became a "family affair" and before Nigerians said Jack, everything was swept under the carpet.

President Muhammadu Buhari must be encouraged by all well meaning Nigerians not to toll that ignoble line. This Saraki vs FRN case must not be traded off for anything, not even for 2019, not for anything. For the good of Nigeria and to rein in corruption, here is an acid test to prove to Nigerians that you are indeed serious about your anti-corruption message, about you desire to relaunch Nigeria on the path of accountability.

This case should be seen to a logical end, and the same measure of zeal should apply to ALL other pending corruption cases including Dasukigate.

It was earlier reported about this pregnant woman identified as Habiba Shaba Ibrahim, who was declared missing few days back. According to reports, her car broke down on her way back home to Kubwa in Abuja -which made her park it at her inlaw's house and decided to take a taxi home but she never got home. It's called Doctrine Of Necessity. This is purely for Security reasons. We all read about what happened at Ajaokuta yesterday, and we all know that there will continue to be tension in Kogi for a while to come. Over the years northerners serving in the customs have often confiscated choice goods and cars imported by southerners and auction them off to their acolytes at absolutely ridiculous prices. I have relations who are clearing agents in Lagos, and they can confirm that these cars and items are sold without the original owners having a say.
Already we are aware of the policy to restrict dollars from Igbo importers, impound their cargoes on arrival at the docks for being purchased with illegal forex, and squeeze them out of business. We are aware of the grand design to destroy shops operated in Igbo dominated areas of Lagos without adequate notice and force them out of their livelihoods. The governorsw who pursue these anti-Igbo policies are then invited for presidential handshakes and granded millions of dollars loans to fast-track their further havoc of development without human face.
The customs officers of northern extraction has never been happy with Obasanjo’s repostings and sustained by Jonathan. Now the parasites are back to the top spots doing what they know how to do best: stifle free enterprise with little and share the booty, the sweats of others who are the hewers of wood and fetchers of water.
