This is part of the vetting process that goes on before a file is moved to review of eligibility. They just pick whatever document(s) they decide and verify it’s authenticity.

hello house,

someone just called from my bank to confirm if i applied for canadian visa, to which i confirmed the affirmative. i used two bank accounts, but only one bank called. I applied via paper route on the 6th of july. has anyone else ever experienced this? should i be worried?

@Linzo, pleased which bank processes CAD @ N230/CAD and where did you get the information that N230 is the approved rate for CAD?

The approved rate stated by CBN is for USD @ N360/USD. To get the rate for CAD, you will use CAD cross rate against USD which is not lower than N280

Hello house,

i urgently need clarification on this. my husband and my bro in-law are going to be sponsoring me. Do i need the affidafit of support from the court or just a letter of sponsorship from them would do. i also do not have much in my account, do i need to present my SOA as well. if i move funds into in now, would it look suspicious that a lump sum was recently deposited into the account?

Did she have correspondence with a hospital or Doctor in the US to back her claims?

Also did she have her DR's report from Nigeria with her?

JFK and yes she had the hospital correspondence with her but the officer said she didn't want to see any docs

D delay was caused by her hubby who refused to go apply for his own visa, she eventually decided to go alone and go start her own treatment
She told them travel date wld be in august, but then tickets were ridiculously expensive and hubby kept promising to go apply for his own visa
Yes, she's been trying to conceive for abt 10yrs and was genuinely going for IVF treatment. And yes, she had evidence of all d hospital correspondences wit her, and had rescheduled her 1st appointment for this week.
Yes, she said they checked her hand luggage and didn't find anything incriminating. 2 mths becos she just assumed treatment wld take that long for d 1st stage.

Pls let me know how we can tackle this problem when reapplying. Im trying to assure her that she can get her visa again

Hello house,

I have an issue and would want experts in d house to wade in.

My friend was issued a B2 visa last June but didn't travel till this January. She was supposed to be going for fertility treatment, which is what is told the entry officer at POE at d airport but they still denied her entry and cancelled her visa, saying dat she is lying and actually wants to come work, otherwise that why wld she want to stay for two months.

What are her chances of reapplying and how can we tackle this issue?

Maryland hospitals are pretty expensive. Your best bet would be to get a hospital in Virginia, You can google hospitals in virginia and narrow down choices based on the distance to the part of Maryland where u will be.

We want to have our first baby in the US. Have gone through the thread and know that i'm to:

Apply for a B1/B2 so reason can be Tourism and also to give birth.

However I need your advice on the following.

1. Affordable Hospitals in Maryland (that's where i can be accommodated). Have heard Maryland is expensive but i'm sure someone here would have eventually gotten a good deal. Please help with any link or direct contact to the hospital/doctor. i have googled and filled in contact forms but no revert. i have called but they keep directing me to their insurance company so please i'm crying for help.

2. Is or Was there anyone who planned to stay in Maryland however give birth in another state that's more affordable and not too far from Maryland. When did you leave Maryland for the place and when were you fit to travel back to Maryland after delivery. Also hospital details (especially cost) and contact to Doctor

3. Any other information would be helpful.

those of you that haven't received your invite probably subscribed to the "DND" list. it means you requested to not receive junk sms(do not disturb), so bulk sms from NDDC would not be delivered to you. What you can do is text "STOP" to 2442, so your number can be removed from the DND list.

Yes, where it says "what type of visa are you applying for?", choose B, then it shows you further option of B1 or B2, medical is B2. Then of course, for contact in the US, put in the hospital address.

Apply for a full time program. You will not get a study visa as an international student applying for a part time program from outside canada.
