2018/2019 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme for Nigerian students in higher institutions. Scholarship forms for Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), its co-venture partners and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is now available.

Eligible students studying the under-listed courses in Nigerian universities are invited to submit an electronic application.

How to apply?

Every applicant should have a valid personal email account.
Applications by eligible candidates should be submitted online.
Candidates should include personal and educational details in the application.
Applicants should upload scanned copies of the following as part of the application;
A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, and not more than 200 kilobytes;
University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission Letter;
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Scores;
O’ Level Result(s); and ‘A’ Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable;
Letter of Identification from State of origin indicating applicant’s local government of origin; and
Academic results for 100 level.
Deadline

Applications should be submitted on or before September 17, 2018.
The examination date will be communicated to shortlisted candidates only.

Each document submitted online must not exceed 200KB and the image format must be in JPEG.

The Commonwealth is offering exceptional young people who are making a difference in their communities a chance to win a Commonwealth Youth Award. Nominations are opening for the 2019 edition of the awards, which includes a cash grant and a trip to attend the awards ceremony in London next March, during Commonwealth Week.

The awards have been running since 1985 and are delivered in partnership with the Commonwealth Youth Council and the Commonwealth Youth Networks. Layne Robinson, Head of Social Policy at the Commonwealth, says they are a golden opportunity to celebrate the role of young leaders as nation builders and partners in development, amplifying the impact of their work.

About the Commonwealth Youth Awards
Young people constitute more than 60% of the population of the Commonwealth; their empowerment is essential to the success of the Commonwealth and its member states. The Commonwealth works with youth leaders, member governments and other stakeholders to engage and empower young people and enhance their contribution to development. The work of the Commonwealth is anchored in the belief that empowered young people are assets to their societies. It is vital to ensure young people realise their individual potential, and to recognise and nurture their ability to contribute to their countries’ development, and the success of the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work 2019 aim to raise the profile of young people and highlight the contribution they are making towards developing a fairer, sustainable, peaceful, and prosperous future for the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth Youth Awards give international, regional and national recognition and support to those young men and women who have demonstrated young peoples capacity and potential to make positive contributions to their communities, nations and the world at large. Young people are not passive beneficiaries of development and spectators to programmes and of policies that affect their development, but rather are integrally involved in the process of change as they continue to work side by side with decision makers as key actors and stakeholders contributing to national development.

The young people who will receive this award should demonstrate measurable/tangible impact through their development work.

The main objectives of the Commonwealth Youth Awards are to:-

Highlight the contribution young people are making to promote the common goal of a future built on fairness, peace, prosperity and sustainability and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).
Acknowledge the outstanding contributions made by young people to overall development and democracy goals in the Commonwealth;
Create an environment which will encourage and sustain investments in youth led development;
Illustrate the depth and breadth of talent, commitment and creativity that exists among young people across the Commonwealth by highlighting nominees’ success stories;
Motivate, encourage and challenge young people (aged 15-29) to set high standards for their work/service at community, national, regional or international levels;
Nomination Requirements

The nominee must have been engaged in development work for more than 12 months, either in a professional or voluntary capacity;
The nominee must be a Commonwealth citizen and the development work must be taking place in a Commonwealth member country;
The nominee should not be older than 29 on 31 December 2018;
Individuals can nominate themselves or be nominated by someone who can accurately describe their development work.
The winners must agree to take part in publicity generated by the Commonwealth.
Awards will be decided on the basis of:

Level of Impact;
Level of innovation/fresh approaches to problem solving;
Quality of achievement;
Quality of the evidence provided.
Sustainability
Awards Process

There will be four finalists per Commonwealth region with the top entry receiving the Regional Winner Award and the top regional winner receiving the Pan Commonwealth Award and to be named the Commonwealth Young Person of the Year 2019.

The 16 Regional finalists will each receive a £1,000 grant, a trophy and a certificate.



The 4 Regional Winners will receive an additional £2,000 (a total of £3,000) a trophy and a certificate

The Pan Commonwealth Winner will receive an additional £2000 (a total of £5,000) a trophy and a certificate.

The 4 Regional Winners will be invited to receive their awards at an official ceremony in London, United Kingdom during Commonwealth Week in March 2019.

THE JOB

Ensure constant flow of raw materials in the right quantity and in the right quality at the right time to meet quality requirements.
Make requisition for and supervise the receipt of raw materials and other packaging consumables from the store to ensure continuous flow of production.
Oversee the activities of process operators to ensure minimal downtime.
Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure sufficient supply of manpower on the production floor to achieve set targets within the given time frame.
Prepare downtime report and other maintenance issues to enable the maintenance unit plan preventive maintenance schedule and resolve downtime promptly.
Prepare shift production report on output and other process issues to ensure a smooth transition between the different production shifts.
Liaise with the warehouse personnel to monitor the transfer of finished products to the warehouse and prepare transfer notes to ensure accuracy in the quality and quantity of goods transferred.
THE PERSON MUST

Have good leadership and people management skills.
