Hi fellas, is there any solution to baldness in men? Maybe in form of drugs, creams or any other things that can seriously improve hair growth. Thanks |

Kudos to fashola. The never-do-well fellows are here again condemning this great projects saying it is a giant generator. Little drops of water make the ocean. If other state govt also construct similar projects like this, I think it will reduce the load on national grid. This will inturn improve our electricity supply. Nigerians are indeed the problems of Nigeria. God bless the yoruba nation. |

i_laugh: They must have a reason to oppose the President. This is not even mere opposing the president. It is about coming together notwithstanding our differences and addressing issues of national relevance. This is where we need the patriotisms of Nigerians. We can not just sit in our various homes and call for revolution. Indeed some steps should be taken. The same applies to this issue of national conference. If we fold our hands and watch things happening without acting, we may end up in worst scenarios because the conference would not achieve its purposes. |
That is why the OP is correct with his that the planned national conference may indeed be deceptive and diversionary. Our present crop of rulers are not interested in convening a sovereign national conference which will make them abdicate their power to the sovereign committee. But truth be told, only the elites in this country want this union to continue even when its obvious that things are not actually in place. The reason is not far-fetched but can be accrued to their interests inform of wealth and kind all over the nation. Ordinary Nigerians who constitute the population want this country to split. Nigerians need to be bold and demand what they desire from their rulers. The country belongs to all of us! |
Timcy01: I think its not deceptive rather Tinubu is speaking as a desperate politian not a passionate Nigerian. I want to believe if Jonathan had taking this decision earlier when the call for it was high, this same Tinubu would have said Jonathan is indecisive. We need to look above politics. My opinion sha..But tinubu has once been an advocate of a sovereign national conference. He only questions why just deem it fit now when it is only months to the next general election. I think we Nigerians also need to ask important questions so that the rommendations of this proposed conference won't be like those of the past I.e thrown into the dust bin |
Few days ago, chief Bola Tinubu came back from the UK and described the proposed national conference by the federal government as defective and diversionary. Then, a lot of nigerians came out and critizise the comments coming from Tinubu. But these people critisizing tinubu have not really sat down to analysed the claims made by the opposition leader. While the thought of every nigerian is that a national conference as proposed will help to resolve major issues threatening our existence as a nation, among other national issues, however, nigerians may be disappointed at the end if they realize that the national conference will still leave key issues unresolved even after it is convened. An average nigerian believes this union called Nigeria is not working again with all her various components in open hostilities against one another. Boko haram is ravaging the north while kidnap kingpins have taken over the south. Rule of law is often evaded by the elites while the poor are seen as second-placed citizens. With all these and several other national issues, majority of nigerians believe now is the perfect time to discuss the future of this country and probably end the 53-year old union. Howver, their desire for this entity called Nigeria to break may be far from actualization. The elites, who assume they 'own' this country have come out several times to voice their support for the continued existence of this country despite the obvious imbalance that is observed in the distribution of wealth which is in their favor. Their call for a united nigeria is however not patriotic but to protect their interests scattered all over the nation. We have also been made to understand that implementation of resolutions from the planned conference will be subject to deliberation in the national assembly. This tells us that recommendations from the national conference may not be implemented eventually if such recommendations fail to muster the necessary support required for it to be passed at the national assembly. What this nation needs at this point is a sovereign national conference that will adequately address all issues threatening her existence. Such a conference will address the perceived no-go areas as agitated by some quarters. Recommendations from such sovereign national conference must be fully implemented either through referendum or whatever other means. Until these are put into consideration, any planned national conference excluding the major aspirations of nigerians may indeed deceptive, diversionary and unpatriotic. |

abubaka101: We are not left out in that category, India, Sri Lanka are there too...But other countries also voiced their opinion against the said policy. Even if they didn't speak against it, that still doesn't justify the action of the british govt |
fromuk: What's the need of the common wealth any when the wealth is not common. Another avenue the Brits invented to continue their colonialism.Seriously, all they know is extorting us by all means available. |
Oga Jonah.....over to u. The british did not even support us when france threatened us on bakassi issue. They even want us to pay £3000 before we can come to their country. Damn, we are better off without them. |
Gambia pulls out of British Commonwealth on october 03, 2013 at 12:18 pm in news BANJUL (AFP) – The Gambian government announced Wednesday that the former British colony is pulling out of the Commonwealth with immediate effect, saying it would “never be a member of any neo-colonial institution”. “The general public is hereby informed that the government of the Gambia has left the Commonwealth of Nations with immediate effect,” it said in a statement. “(The) government has withdrawn its membership of the British Commonwealth and decided that the Gambia will never be a member of any neo-colonial institution and will never be a party to any institution that represents an extension of colonialism.” The Commonwealth bloc is a voluntary association of more than 50 countries, many of them former territories of the British empire. No further details were given but a foreign ministry official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told AFP that the decision came after the government rejected a proposal by the Commonwealth last year to create commissions in Banjul to protect human rights, media rights and fight against corruption. The proposal followed an April 2012 visit to the Gambia by Commonwealth Secretary General Kamalesh Sharma, during which he met with President Yahya Jammeh and other top government officials. Jammeh, who is regularly accused of rights abuses, has ruled mainland Africa’s smallest country with an aura of mysticism and an iron fist since seizing power in 1994. Earlier this year, the Gambia was singled out for its poor rights record in Britain’s annual Human Rights and Democracy report, which cited cases of unlawful detentions, illegal closures of newspapers and radio stations and discrimination against minority groups. A spokesman at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office said early Thursday: “We would very much regret Gambia, or any other country, deciding to leave the Commonwealth.” He noted however that “decisions on Commonwealth membership are a matter for each member government”. The Gambia is a tiny sliver of land wedged into Senegal. It suffers from widespread poverty but its miles of palm-fringed beaches are a favourite among sun-seeking European tourists The west African anglophone nation, the smallest on the mainland, has long been dogged by rights concerns under Jammeh’s administration. Jammeh, who seized power in a 1994 coup, brooks no criticism. He has been re-elected to power three times. The man who claims he can cure AIDS and other illnesses is often pilloried for rights abuses and the muzzling of journalists. In 2010, the EU, the country’s top aid donor, cancelled 22 million euros ($30 million) in budget support for Banjul because of concerns over human rights and governance. In August 2012, Jammeh came under attack from Amnesty International and others for sending nine prisoners to the firing squad and promising many more would go the same way. Many top officials have found themselves charged with treason, often related to coup plots which observers have said are a sign of paranoia by Jammeh, who has woven an aura of mysticism around himself, dressing in billowing white robes and always clutching his Koran. Last year he warned foreign diplomats that his country would not be “bribed” with aid to accept homosexuality. “If you are to give us aid for men and men or for women and women to marry, leave it. We don’t need your aid because as far as I am the president of the Gambia, you will never see that happen in this country,” he said. In January this year Jammeh accused the European Union of trying to destablise Gambia, after the EU set out a 17-point checklist of demands for reforms. They included calls for Gambia to abolish the death penalty and to re-open newspapers and radio stations closed down by the authorities. The president regularly insists that he will not bow to external pressures for reform. www.vanguardngr.com/2013/10/gambia-pulls-british-commonwealth/ I think its a good one from the gambian government. Commonwealth or whatever it is called is an extension of colonialism. If only nigeria can follow suite. |
olaezebala: I'll advice u stay away from this thread cause dey'll leave facts and attack u instead. That's what they do best.U are clueless. Salvation army model school is the only completed school because it was its construction commenced immediately aregbesola became governor to serve as models of how the newly-embarked schools will look alike. The ones under construction now just started few months back and they are progressing @ a fast rate. Abi u expect schools to be completed in two months? |
Bash92: Who did Oyinlola oppress during is reign tell me. Osun was ver peaceful before aregbe come to osun state. Violence started when Aregbesola entered the state. As you are from oshogbo you dont need to be told what happen when he first came to the osun osogbo festival.. Then u must have forgotten what happened some years back during one of the muslim festivals when a student was unlawfully arrested, tortured and detained because he asked questions about when osogbo will have a university @ okebaale muslim praying ground. Also u must have forgotten what happened few years back before aregbesola became governor @ the osogbo progressive union (opu) day program where aregbesola was invited to d program like oyinlola and his executive. Aregbe and his supporters were beaten black and blue by oyinlola's supporters claiming aregbe is not welcomed @ d function because governor oyinlola was also present that time. |
olaezebala: Almost completed but the existing ones are being pulled down?It seems fakunle and Osogbo grams are the only secondary sch u know in osogbo. Go to CAC gram sch @ obalende area or nawarudeen gram @ okebaale. Or it seems u are an alumnus of one of those demolished schools. Fakunle junior sch section is in shambles before now so its better they are demolished. Previous governments rehabilitated old structures instead of constructing new ones and after 1 year, these schools get destroyed again. I guess that's what u want. The mega schools that are been constructed can contain large population of students so they are not just merging schools but with a foresight to improve learning condition of students. |
mightyfada: Sorry bro I feel your pain.. don't be a fool at your age.It seems u don't live in okebaale....FYI I live precisely in costain area. The road u mentioned has just been constructed and completed from gbeja primary school all to that reservoir area junction. So get ur facts right. |
@Atouke, I don't know what can satisfy u these hating people. Aregbesola built model schools, u complained it is Lagos idea. Is aregbe the only governor to build model schools in his state? When amaechi built model schools in rivers state, why didn't u tag it as a lagos idea? So because aregbe is now osun governor, he should severe all his ties with his people in Lagos. FYI, Aregbe is one of the leading stakeholders in Alimoso area of Lagos. Alimoso LG is the largest LG in Lagos state. Argbe is a strong lagos politician and that is where he rose to excel. He would never abandon his roots despite been the governor here in osun. What matters is how well he is working in osun state. Most people here on NL are not politician and so they don't know the ways of politics. Its a pity. By the way, ratcon have done excellently well in constructing standard roads in osun and I belive that is why they are the choice firm for constructions in osun state. All the roads the built so far have up to 60mm thickness with walk ways for pedestrians. They also make concrete drainages for roads unlike ones employed by oyinlola that use blocks for drainages. Aregbesola is an engineer himself and he knows what's good for his state. At this present moment, pdp parades the likes of omisore, akinbade, and other notorious as guber aspirants. Are these the people u want as osun governor. And that is why Aregbe is the best man for osun @ this present moment. For God's sake....let's be sincere and avoid been partisan. Aregbesola till 2018 |
leadership.ng/news/210813/how-aregbesola-turned-osun-state-construction-site for the doubtful thomas here, check the link above |
Using osogbo as case study because that is where I leave, modern mega schools are now under construction with most almost completed all through osogbo. Although it is true that scholls are been merged together, but it is in the interests of the students because hitherto those students receive lectures in filthy environments with most of their classrooms dilapidated and unconducive. But now they are transferred to newly built classrooms which gives them more comfort. Also the distribution of opon imo is being done on daily basis in different zones of the state and by november it will be completed. Healthcare has also been given a boost by aregbesola. I went to the state general hospital @ asubiaro few weeks back and I must confess there were improvements in the delivery of services compared to the past. There are now sufficient doctors and nurses on ground to attend to patients. Drugs are also now available. What more can I say.....the opposition will always find faults with aregbe's tenure. Aregbesola is indeed god-sent to osun after 7 years of pdp under-performance |
I strongly admonish Gbawe and other sensible people here to desist from arguing with these useless people denigrating the personality of ogbeni aregbesola. I live in osogbo. Only a fool will compare the performances of aregbesola under 3 years with those of oyinlola under 8 years. Oyinlola's tenure was marred by failure, oppression and so on. only few roads were constructed during the time of oyinlola with several others not completed. Oyinlola borrowed about $18bn to found the construction of 6 stadia in the state but up till now no single stadium is on ground. Old garage-ikirun road dualisation is almost complet under 3 years of aregbesola. Other roads that are completed and been used presently used include fagbewesa road, isale aro road, gbodofon road, fiwasaye-tanisi road, gbeja okebaale road, awosuru alekuwodo road, housing-tinumola road and so on with several others under construction. All these roads were in bad shapes during oyinlola tenure but they were left undone. Its been three months now since I've been back to osogbo from school. Throughout these 3 months, there has been constant water supply which didn't happen before during oyinlola tenure. Anyone that lives in osun state and say aregbe is under-performing is been biased. I lived in osogbo throughout the 7 years of oyinlola so I know the different between the two governors. Aregbesola may not be the best....BUT he is by far better that oyinlola/pdp in terms of achievements in office. |
Useless and jobless Op. It appears now that u are a deluded failure with a pathetic life |
