swaying votes for the APC (and if it does, it's
all good) and it's not an act to get political
appointment (who even know me?) but for the
continuity of good governance and reaping of
real dividend of democracy. That said, here
are 3 reasons why Lagosians need to vote for
the APC at the polls next Saturday.
1. State Federal alignment: This is the
topmost reason that everyone has been saying
and if that is the only reason, it's more that
enough. 16 years into the return of democracy,
Federal government has not aligned with
Lagos state as far as party is concerned and
now that the Federal has been changed, the
real change is to align it with Lagos state and
not otherwise. You can imagine the progress
Lagos will have if it partners with the Federal.
2. Education, Experience and Exposure. In any
endeavor, undertaking or job, these 3 things
are very important. Both JK and AA has good
education, no doubt in that. JK has been a
pharmacist all his life. No half a day
experience in any political office not even as a
councillor in a local government! No
experience, no exposure! How could the life of
more than 18 million people put in a hand of
someone like that for 4 years. I swear my
children will not forgive me. AA on the other
hand had worked at different arms of the
government, from local to state level. What
more do you need in him. Thus, he has a good
knowledge of how government is run.
3. Companions - Who are those around JK?
Uncle Koro, Uncle Bode George, Uncle Ffk,
Aunty Allison Madueke, and host of other
corrupt minded politicians. Who are those that
surround AA? Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Babatunde
Raji Fashola, Mrs Orelope Adejoke Adefulire, Dr
Femi Kayode, Engr Rauf Aregbesola among
other impeccable characters. It is said that if
you are among 4 rich people, you will be the
fifth and if you are among 4 thieves, you will
be the 5. Even if you are not you will be
perceived and called one.
For these and other reasons, Lagosians should
go out en masse next Saturday and vote APC
for the continuity of good government in
Lagos. Eko o ni bake o. Awon to ma baje o ni
debe ooo.
