FamilyRe: Advice Needed On My Late Dad's 1st Remembrance by kazy1979: 2:27pm On Dec 17, 2020
Are those properties Willed to you or you are just managing it for the family? Bros, be very careful and use your brain. When it comes to the issue of property people can do anything and this is not limited to any particular tribe.
Back to the issue on ground. if property was willed to you, u don't need to give account of anything but if u are just managing it for the family I thin they don't believe u and that is the reason u have to thread carefully. If u are from the southwest part of naija, the request of 500k is not really a request but a message (Aroko).
Though many advice giving here are useful but Any advice giving to u here can't work because everybody here has little information except the one u gave and advising u based on that can't lead u astray. Pls sit down yourself and digest all what has been happening before now and make a decision.
Am talking from experience. Omo araye oni shē Lori oooo

CelebritiesRe: 6 Facts About Davido By Kemi Olunloyo by kazy1979: 2:21pm On Nov 24, 2020
Adeleke is a royal name. Davido may be in line to the Timi of Ede crown, their royal father. Maybe when King Davido becomes Timi of Ede, he can marry all three ladies. Olori Sophia, Olori Amanda, Olori Grace. All this #babymama drama is POLYGAMY.
.

Aunty Kemi got it wrong on the above fact. Davido's family is not part of the royal family in Ede but the Baloguns. His grandfather Chief Ayoola Adeleke was the Balogun till his death. The Balogun post has a line and currently baba olofa-ina is one of the people in line to became Balogun of Ede land. Aunty should research well before coming online and spread false info. His grandfather's house till his death was on Ojularede street not too far to Poly junction in Ede.
CrimeRe: Godwin Obla: Magu Ordered My Detention After I Demanded ₦763 Million Legal Fee by kazy1979: 12:54pm On Jul 30, 2020
All this allegations upon allegations but all the people that testify never alleged that magu collected money from them but claimed he abused his power for either locking them up, freezing their account or taking them to court. To me, Malami is just using the people that have issues with Magu.
All what we have been about this probe panel are just rumors from people. They accused him of selling properties to his family and cronies. They should give the address of those properties, people that bought them and the amount they were sold. U can just accuse someone without any evidence. Tell us not just allegations.
I remembered Magu tried to respond to all this allegations flying online but the panel rejected the response on the ground that those allegations were not from the petition.
Am not saying Magu is clean or not but mine is we should hear all sides first before we conclude that someone is a thief or innocent of the allegations.
FamilyRe: I Was Chosen As King: Should I Damn The Consequence Or Forget About It Entirely? by kazy1979: 12:10am On Jul 01, 2020
Good morning folks. Sure we are all good and managing the effects of pandemic well?. To God be the glory.

This is going to be long because I will want us to read and understand it very well before commenting. Reason is because any decision taken is going to affect both myself,my immediate family members, extended and the entire community.

I have been thinking about the way forward since December last year.

It happened that we lost our king (Eze) 5years ago and the community has been in turmoil due to the inability of the elders to select a new king.

Reason is that it is rotational between my village and the other village.

My village is now supposed to bring out the next king and my compound has been told to bring out somebody to be crowned as a king.

I never envisaged or dreamt of becoming a king in my life because.
(1) My father is still alive.
(2)I'm not the most senior in the entire family.

But then, the elders met me last December and told me that the diety in the community has selected me to become the next king and that I have to pick another wife from the community before I will be crowned.

I told them point and blank that the oracle is mistaken due to the reasons I mentioned above but they are not taking it.

Now everyone in my village is against me for refusing the offer and saying I'm doing it be cause I don't want to hurt my wife which is true.

Now my question is,What do I do?
Should I damn the consequence and pick another wife and be crowned a king in other to make my community happy or should I forget about the whole idea entirely and allow the community sort themselves out?

I'm confused here. N B. My wife is aware of all this.

Thanks.

Please bring this to front page cause I'm no longer myself. So many sleepless nights and selfish advices from the elders in my community. I really need to hear the truth from people I don't know.

Op, u need to go back to that village and ask some respectable old men/women or elders that know about the village tradition deeply. Don't ask your dad or family, every village or town has some old people that know the place more than the king
U need to answers to the following questions from them:

1. In some village if u refuse to be crown, the entire family will never smell that position again and u will be in the bad book of the whole family and even the whole village.

2. Has it ever happened in the history of the village that the chosen king refuse to be crown and if yes, what then happened. But if No, ask what will happen if you rejected it.

3. Is it possible for the deity or whatsoever they said choose someone as king when the father and the elder brothers are still alive.

4. Is it the villagers that made it a law that every king must marry from the village or the deity. If u refuse to marry from the village, is there any implications.

The answers u get from all this question will lead the way on how to discuss with your wife.

There is no woman that doesn't want to be a queen but sharing there man with another woman is the problem. Your wife telling u to do what is in your mind mean she is not against u been the king but she didn't want to share u with another woman. Therefore your answers to those questions above will help u in talking it out with your wife.

I think everybody assumed we were talking about the ceremony that takes place in the mosque and not the Walima. When you use the word "Nikah" that's generally what it means

What could make it confusing is that the OP was talking about the aqd nikah and the picture he posted was showing a Walima
Thanks for your response. Walimot means gathering to celebrate. The difference between aqd Nikah and the walimat Nikah is that the former is the joining the 2 parties together witness by the families not necessarily need outsiders. It can be low key while the latter is the ceremony where u eat and dine. Most people consider it has 1 event.
The op should have explain it to this level so people will understand it better.
Thanks

Fundamentalist:
Oga, No confusion here. Being married in Islam means the following according to the sunnah
1. both parties are willing to come together.
2. the Lady/Woman, in particular, must have a guardian (A male, Muslim which maybe the Father, Uncle, brother, son, Islamic Leader). A woman cannot give her self in marriage.
3. Payment of bride price (it can be paid immediately or in the near future but the price must be agreed).
4. Witnesses (Not necessarily the family members but it is encouraged)
5. She must be clean (No pregnancy)
There is no scholar of Islam that can argue against these.

Its called a contract because any party can decide to pathways with his/her partner.
Please grow up.
Islam is not based on personal Opinion huh
Oga, I know it is Sunnah no argument about that. What am saying is that pregnancy before Nikah (marriage) is allowed or not allowed depends on whether u are talking about Akidu Nikah or before walimat Nikah.
Nikah is in 2 parts which they can choose to do one, both at separate time or both together.
Pregnancy before Akidu Nikah is not allowed but allowed before walimot Nikah.
IslamRe: The Pregnant Bride by kazy1979: 3:12pm On Jan 17, 2020
I think the op created more confusion. To my best of knowledge, some people do Akidu Nikkah and later walimot Nikah while some did their own together. After Akidu Nikah, the woman can get pregnant and the child is legitimate then walimot Nikah can come later if u like. The op should have explain this in the writeup so readers will not get more confuse on issues like this.
Another observation I has is the op said marriage contract. This so called contract is between who and who? To me the contract is between a man and a woman and witness by the 2 parties families. So far the 2 families agree to allow the marriage then the marriage is already valid. Others are just secondary.

RomanceRe: I Had Sex With My Fiance's Friend, Please Help! by kazy1979: 11:13pm On Nov 23, 2019
I will advise u to come clean to your fiance. If he loves you, he will stay by u though it will be painful but he can cope. For the other guy's call, don't pick it until after u told your fiance about the whole issue because u don't know the kind of a guy this other guy is. If he want to blackmail u, there is nothing to be afraid of because your man has already been informed. So u will be able to talk freely and transfer the burden to the other guy. If u tell you man after the guy try to blackmail u, if am your man I will tell u that so if this guy didn't try to blackmail u I will not know that something like this happen. How do I know u don't have more secret that will be reveal later. The trust will I'd not disappear will reduced and what u are afraid of may happen.
Even if the guy did not tell your fiance, He will still know one day and that is when u will regret it most. Responsible and reasonable guys always appreciate it if their women tell them the truth and not keeping anything away from them.
U know your fiance than anyone here so u should know if he is a type that want the truth or not. I will end this giving u this our elders word "Toba koju so e ko ta, Toba koyin e ko ta sugbon to ba ku iwo nikan da ero Ara e pa".
This is just my thought as a man and what I think u shd do.

Am impressed with what am seeing.. The official death toll can't be more than 100.. Even with what am seeing here it's still OK...
Rip to the dead. .
Texas is almost the same size as southern Nigeria.. Just imagine that the whole of southern Nigeria is submerged under water like this... O can't imagine what will happen
This natural disaster affected not the whole of texas but some cities like houston, galveston, corpus christi and I think 1 other city.

They are now over blowing it and it has become world news but if it is Nigeria the news would have already fizzled out.
We should blame our own media houses too. All tv station in houston ( I don't know other cities in texas) did not show anything aside updates and live info on this disaster since friday till this morning. Can any of our tv station do the same, I don't blame them they run there media house to make more profit

I read people's comments and I discovered many don't really know what they are saying.
1. Houston mayor told people to evacuate but only people in flood prone areas. I knew some whites that said they are not leaving their house till it got to the level life threatening situation.
2. Many blacks were evacuated in galveston, corpus christi even in houston. So if u don't see it in tour pics doesnt mean they are not.
3. Concerning looting, there was looting know some places like Tidwell area and many other places. It happen here the way it happen s in naija too.
4. Not everybody in US has that level of love/ humanity in they be u black or white. When airport, schools and restaurants turned their various properties to shelter for people, a church lied that there property was flooded so they can't open it to be used for shelter not until people started posting videoes of the church before it was opened.
Mind u disaster alert had been sent to if not all most phone number since thursday that houston will experience hurricane but Houston started experiencing tropical storm harvey on saturday morning.
Am in Houston so I saw everything
