Another tortuous week gone, hopefully Monday it should be, based on the numerous "sauces" in the house. Do these guys care at all, I doubt, I do remember "caring" as part of their values. #Storyforthegods
This is sheer wickedness.
Having to have a mini heart attack on every email.
I almost collapsed yesterday. When I saw one stupid mail from (North NG) I thought it was NLNG. Then to crown it up, one stupid advert call from (039 whatever) I said maybe there are calling me from ph directly).
This is the kind of torture I go through every day now, all my senses are on high alert, even though I have a job. I can't imagine what guys without jobs are going through now.
Please, NLNG can we get this over with, just give us a response. |

Nlng2014: For those who travelled abroad because they got a scholarship for a MSc, It is still possible for you to be recruited within this timeline. Just keep NLNG updated with your progress and new address.
If all goes according to plan. EH calls around April/May or later
Therefore GT calls June/July, AC (maybe) July-August and final selection Spetember/October/November.
Keep updating NLNG and all the best. this was a post he made a long time ago in march and this guy was spot on. also after an exhaustive research, I think he could be our next dplacement. |

vantage7: I think you misunderstood the dockyard to mean a port (or more appropriately an LNG export terminal) which it is not. The planned dockyard by Badagary Ship Repair and Marine Engineering Limited will serve to "bridge the gap created by the absence of an operational dockyard to cater for the repair and maintenance of Very Large Crude Carriers, LNG carriers, large and medium size carriers, drilling rigs and supports vessels." So it's basically a vessel service center and unlike in the case of an export terminal, they don't have to be side-by-side with the liquefaction plant. I think when it comes to siting such an all-purpose facility, the amount of traffic is among the major considerations (as @dway4ward mentioned though I take exception to the way he apparently concluded on your motives) plus NLNG said that Badagry was chosen (by the company) "after feasibility studies were carried out at various sites (Onne, Bonny, Olokola, Badagry, Ogogoro Island, Ladol, etc.)"
And true the dry dock is not NLNG's, they are merely promoting its development by "the investment community." Great, I see the "unseen" strategy now, its a good one as the business traffic is more in Lagos. However, We need good PR and proper stakeholder engagement so that this restive youths get to understand this. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by kblaze111: 5:58pm On Aug 05, 2015 |
dway4ward: First off, are you in engineering, sciences or arts? As you thinking is suspect. Can you not make informed guesses? This is an enlightened forum, don't bring tribal thinking here. If the dry dockyard is sited in Bonny, how many ships can it service easily? You guessed it, NLNG ships solely ; not even ones from Onne port. If sited in Lagos, services thousands. Now that's an economic decision. The dockyard will be run as a revenue making entity hence needs maximum traffic to be profitable. Please reason constructively on this thread because for one reason or the other you will be in a decision making position soon and cannot afford you spewing laced hate it tribal sentiments. PLEASE, go back and RE-READ my comments and question. I think I deserve an apology for your numerous insults and as you rightly said "This is an enlightend forum". Please, do the needful. |

coolio2014: All these talk about zones and so on. I understand the part about slots for indigenes of Bonny - afterall it's their immediate community. But what is all these talk about senatorial districts and zones? NLNG NLNG NLNG!!! Pick the best hands for the job! Do not compromise on mental soundness on the platter of zoning! NLNG is a worldclass company and should act as such. In the UK and other developed countries you can be disqualified in a recruitment process for stating you gender or age, not to mention where you are from. They do not want to know and do not care. All they are interested in is getting the BEST hands for the job based on pre ascertained qualifications. NLNG PLEASE follow the same standards. Being WORLD CLASS should not be "by mouth". Actions should make this clear. My bit. My thinking on the call up date: Working backwards If we are to resume January, We should already know by Ending November (to give room for quitting from previous jobs, getting ready for the NLNG resumptions et al) If we are to be informed by late November, Medicals should have been concluded by October. If Medicals are to be concluded by October, we should have been notified about medical call ups by September. I believe September is when we will be notified for the NEXT stage - Medicals. Like I said, my thinking. excellent thinking, excellent analysis. the sooner, the better. we both reason alike, I also share your opinion on merit above all else. it is better to lose out to better and smarter competitors than to loose out on techicalities such as tribe, zoning, gender and other trash. #teamexcellenceandmeritaboveallelse. NLNG just pick the best 100 and lets get this party started. |

They should be smart enough to have read through the thread and know that airsaylongcon has already had his AC. This is just some smart dude hustling hard. Why he thinks airsaylongcon will be open to such an arrangement is what I am curious about. @airsaylongcon was an active advocate for "spilling" in the spill-no-spill debacle. the scammer may have just dug deeper into the threads. |

It is very important to maintain the sanctity and fairness of this assessment.
1. I DO not understand why someone would offer to leak the contents (or any further hints beyond the nlng update mail) and put himself and a wholelot of others at a serious disadvantage.
2. I also understand that a whole lot of people are looking to cheat others and have an undue advantage.
THIS IS A KEENLY CONTESTED ASSESSMENT, the element of surprise is part of the assessment, just a little hint would make a lot of impact, as everyone at this stage is brilliant and sharp.
My advice to expo-seeking candidates is to be confident of your abilities, just be confident, you made it thisfar means you're good-to-go except you cheated your way here "by way of hints"
Finally ,if this thread is now all about "give me hints" i support that it should be temporarily blocked till the end of the a.c.
THANKS |
