Wizkid has been named as the African Artist of the year at the Annual Apple Music Awards as announced today on the Apple website.

Apple announced the winners of their Annual Apple Music Awards today with Wizkid grabbing the award for African Artist of the year. The list was shared via the Apple website on Tuesday, the 30th of November 2021.

This year has been great for the Starboy with his song, Essence smashing its way into the global scene and that definitely came with awards. Wizkid has already been nominated for the Grammy Awards next year in two categories and he is ruling most of the Billboard charts at the moment. This has been the best year for African music in a long while and Big Wiz is championing that movement.

On Saturday, November 27, 2021, Rema’s manager, Sean Okeke responded DJ Neptune’s statement, dated November 26, 2021, which in itself, was a response to Jonzing act, Rema’s Twitter rant, about ‘For You,’ a song which features him, on Neptune’s sophomore album, Greatness 2.0.

Okeke, who works with Jonzing writes a statement, in which he refers to Neptune as his “big bro.” The story appears to be one of a family disagreement, rather than an all out blood-thirsty war.

In a bid to clear the air on the recent statements online regarding the release of the song – “For You” on DJ Neptune’s new album, I would like to make the following clarifications and assertions on the matter an hopefully put to rest this issue.

Firstly, I acknowledge that I and my big bro- DJ Neptune had conversations regarding the said collaboration as well as the song release sometime last year 2020.

Few months passed, and the artiste felt the song shouldn’t be released any more as there was no more release timeline for it and urged me to communicate same with my Big Bro.

I made it known to DJ Neptune some time during our conversation that the song can’t come out again as we don’t have anymore free release window available for the song and hence we can’t put it out there. I also on my part promised to to follow up with the artist & label with hope of convincing all parties to approve the song release.

Since an official approval was not released nor split sheets signed, I felt the song won’t be released anymore.

Looking back at all that just happened , I really I wish I had just held my ground that the artiste doesn’t really want the song released anymore which would have made DJ Neptune focus on getting other songs for his album.

In conclusion, I wish to apologize to all parties involved and seek the peaceful resolution of the matter with the song in question taken down in respect of the artist’s Wish.

Grammy Award winner, Burna boy has been called out by an angry show promoter on Instagram.

The show promoter who has been identified as Goldmoola took to the app to call out Burna boy and his momager, Bose Ogulu. According to Goldmoola, Burna and his mother tried to extort him of $10,000 .

Shatta Wale entered to the Maximum Security Prison to begin his one-week remand sentence and the inmates who had been expecting him burst into wild celebration.

Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale and three others have been remanded in police custody for one week after pleading ‘not guilty’ to allegation of spreading false information, following claim of the singer being shot in Accra’s East Legon.

Shatta Wale and his alleged accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator pleaded not guilty to the charges of publication of false news and causing fear and panic, after being arraigned in court today October 21.

His alleged accomplices were also accused of aiding and abetting crime. Shatta Wale and his entourage who have already been detained by police for two nights after being arrested on Tuesday October 19.

The four people are scheduled to appear in court again on October 26, 2021. In a Facebook post prior to his arrest on Tuesday, the singer apologized to his fans and those affected by the prank.

Nigerian Musician, 2baba has finally reacted to the allegations levelled against him by Brymo.
The African Queen singer has threatened to file a defamation suit against Brymo over his recent accusatory tweets.

On Monday, the 5th of October, Brymo in a series of tweets, accused 2baba of sending thugs who physically assaulted him after 2baba allegedly accused him of sleeping with his wife.

This Morning, Brymo via his Twitter page, shared a letter he received from 2baba lawyers following his public accusation.

“The baseless and false accusation has caused unspeakable distress to our client and his family. You have also caused estimation to be lowered in the estimation of his friends, business associates and wilder members of the public and further caused him a significant loss of business,” part of the letter read.

“Should you fail or refuse to meet our demands, we shall perfect our client’s instruction and pursue redress by seeking no less than one billionaire naira in damages against you in court”, the letter concluded.

The letter gave Brymo 48 hours to tender an unreserved apology to 2Face Idibia and his family on all his social media pages. It also stated that he should withdraw all the comments he made about the music star from his social media pages.

On the 4th of October, Brymo in a series of Tweets, narrated how 2Baba was behind the physical attack melted on him by some men in 2012.

According to him, 2baba falsely accused him of sleeping with his wife, Annie Idibia. He made it known that he was just friends or trying to be friends with Annie, but her husband took it the other way.

Brymo said he only shared her company once with his female friend and his partner. According to him, Annie asked him about his future plans during their chat, but the question was so sleek, so he told her ‘My Future, that he was going to be Africa’s Finest Act’.

In his Interview with Trevor, Davido said his music and its success began with Nigerians in Atlanta. According to him,

Nigerian singer, Davido has finally reacted to the sudden death of his photographer, Fortune.

This morning, the singer took to his IG to mourn his friend who drowned at an undisclosed location in Lagos. I AM HAPPY THAT THEY DID NOT RECOGNISE ME AS A CELEBRITY BECAUSE I AM SURE THEY WOULD HAVE HARMED ME AS I HAD SEEN THEIR FACES.

THEY TOOK VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING THAT WE HAD IN THE CAR. THEY TOOK THE PHONES OF EVERYONE IN THE CAR EXCEPT MINE BECAUSE I QUICKLY HID MINE. THEY STOLE EVERYONE’S APPLE WRISTWATCHES, AMONG OTHER THINGS.

IF I AM TO ESTIMATE THE AMOUNT OF WHAT THEY STOLE FROM US, EVERYTHING WOULD BE VALUED AT ABOUT N700,000. THEY STOLE TWO IPHONES 12, ONE IPHONE XR; I HAD A LOOSE CHANGE OF ABOUT N15,000 IN THE CAR AND MY WRISTWATCH WHICH IS VALUED AT N120,000. EVERYTHING CAN BE VALUED AT N700,000 TO N800,000.

I WAS SO UPSET THAT PEOPLE WERE LOOKING AT US AS EVERYTHING HAPPENED, THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING. NIGERIA IS NOT SAFE; IT IS A FAILED COUNTRY.

She took to her Twitter account to advise the female gender on what they should and shouldn’t expect in a relationship.

According to Eva, people deserve more than just s*x – di*k- in their relationships. She admitted that di*k is good, but it also renders one powerless, needy and puts people in a di*khold in the absence of self awareness.

Eva added that sex can sometimes makes one forget about his/her purpose on earth. She concluded by advising the ladies to learn to control their desires because they deserve more than just di*k.

The Macaulay Brothers has come for 2face’s younger brother, Charly after his sensitive post about their mother.
Recall that Charles Idibia came online to interfere in 2face and Annie’s Martial crisis on Friday Sep. 3rd, 2021. He shared how Annie maltreated the Idibia family and also how she & her mother uses ‘Juju’ to be in charge.

Well it seems the Macaulay brothers didn’t like the way 2face’s brother, Charly, brought their mother into Annie’s marital issue. Annie’s elder brother, Sylvester criticized Charles Idibia for disrespecting his mother. Sylvester, who lives in the States and does stay online, stated that when the issue was brought to his attention, he reached out to 2face’s mum through a voice note on WhatsApp to caution Charles and call for peace, but the old lady listened and blocked him instead.

Sylvester called 2face’s mother a bi*ch for supporting Charles Idibia and ignoring his message. He then demanded for an apology from Charly and gave a 24-hours ultimatum.

Annie’s other brother, Wisdom also took to his instagram page to condemn Charly’s action. Macaulay Wisdom shared that Charles shouldn’t have involved himself and dragged their mother into the matter on ground if he truly loves and respects 2face as he claimed.
