Lil Wayne is mourning the New Orleans police officer who saved his life when he was 12 years old.

Robert Hoobler was found dead in his home on Friday, according to Nola.com. The 65-year-old had suffered from health issues after a car crash and struggled with diabetes, which led doctors to amputate both his legs.

Wayne has often credited Hoobler for saving his life. On Nov. 11, 1994, a young Dwayne Carter shot himself in the chest while handling a 9 mm pistol in his mother’s Hollygrove apartment. Although he was off duty, Hoobler heard the police radio report and drove to the scene, along with five other officers. The other cops left Wayne to die on the floor as they searched the residence, but Bob rushed him to the hospital.

On Sunday, Wayne shared a touching tribute to the man he called “Uncle Bob,” posting a photo of the late officer outside his old house. “Everything happens for a reason. I was dying when I met u at this very spot. U refused to let me die,” he wrote. “Everything that doesn’t happen, doesn’t happen for a reason. That reason being you and faith. RIP uncle Bob. Aunt Kathie been waiting for u. I’ll love & miss u both and live for us all.”

During a 2020 episode of his Young Money Radio on Apple Music, Wayne recalled Bob’s heroic act after he attempted suicide. “First of all, my life was saved when I was young,” Wayne said. “I was 12 or something, I think, shot myself. I was saved by a white cop, Uncle Bob. You have to understand the way I view police, period. I was saved by a white cop.”

Added Wayne, “Those Black cops jumped over me, and ran through the crib, and said we found the gun, we found this, we found that. He said I found this baby on the floor, I need to get to a hospital. He didn’t wait for an ambulance, he took his car. He made somebody drive it, and he made sure that I lived. That’s Uncle Bob, and Uncle Bob’s story.”

Wayne rapped about the incident on his 2015 track “London Roads.” At the time, he thought Bob had died, but he was alive and they reconnected. He even offered him financial support.

“He was like, ‘I don’t want nothing. I just want to say, ‘I’m happy to say that I saved a life that mattered,” Wayne told Emmanuel Acho in 2021.

An official post released by the Nigerian Police force on the shooting that allegedly involved Burna Boy’s security detail, which was shared today, Sunday, June 12, 2022, acknowledged that the shooting took place on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Club Cubana on Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Police force also confirmed that the officers involved in the case had been detained pending investigation.

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay, has bragged about his songwriting skills, noting that he is the best in the niche.

The artiste’s self-praise is coming shortly after Nigerian award-winning artiste, Burna Boy affirmed that his colleagues, Wizkid and Davido, who are among Africa’s richest musicians are not richer than him.

A Nigerian twitter user has apologised to Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, over his initial remarks about the singer's son.

The Twitter user known as Mista Mdee, who is a Wizkid stan, took to Twitter on March 15, 2022, to make a tweet insinuating that Peruzzi is the father of Davido's son Ifeanyi.

However, in an update of the event, the troll took to his page on Sunday, March 20, 2022, to apologise to the DMW frontline act and owner after both Davido and Peruzzi reacted to his allegations. He wrote:

Popular dancehall singer, Cynthia Morgan, stirs controversy with the claim about the bible which she considers inaccurate and unreliable.

Cynthia, in an Instastory post, argued that the holy book used by Christians contains contents that can lead the mind astray.

“The bible is inaccurate and unreliable and it baffles me that most of these pastors that claim they’ve read this book from genesis to revelation in different occasions are yet to highlight these discrepancies to their followers…,” she wrote.

She recounted how she had to travel to the nearest African shop to get the food items at night during the cold weather, how she spent 4 hours preparing the food and how she had to stay awake to meet up an early train to London to deliver the meal herself.

Unfortunately for her, the singer never paid her after delivery.

Madam Elsie Avemegah, fondly known to public as Shatta Mama, the mom of controversial Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale, has pleaded with the general public, alleging that she is in dire need of cash to rent a suitable house where she could live.

Narrating her ordeal, Shatta Mama stated that the landlady sent her packing from the East Legon condominium that Shatta Wale alleged to have purchased for her some years back.

Shatta Wale’s unhappy mother revealed to Hotfmghana that she is, at the moment, without a place to live and that her only course of action is to seek public aid in getting for her self a new house.

Shatta Wale’s mum told Hotfmghana:

“Yes, I have been evicted from the East Legon apartment Shatta Wale got for me … Almost two weeks now I have no where to stay…I’m currently homeless….All attempts to reach Shatta Wale to settle the debts the Landlady claims I’m owing have proved unsuccessful

Since my Son is not helping me , I will please appeal to the general public to help me rent a new apartment. They can either give me money to rent or can dash me an apartment. I only need a place to call my home. The embarrassment is too much”.

In the video, Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale, who did the Already collaboration with Beyonce, is seen thanking his security Kumoji.

“I love you mhen… you kept your word,” Shatta Wale said as he put his neck chain around Kumoji’s neck.

“God is good. I received it,” Kumoji responded as the diamond neck chain was placed around his neck.

Afterwards, Shatta Wale planted a kiss on Kumoji’s mouth.

Ace Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, made it known that Sound Sultan was told he was "alright" before his death.

The iconic singer died on the morning of Sunday, July the 11th, 2021, after a long battle with angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma, as announced by his brother, Kayode Fasasi.

Speaking about the late 44-year-old singer, rapper, actor, and philantrophist, his friend and colleague, Basketmouth, made it known that Sound Sultan was told he was perfectly fine prior to his demise.

Basketmouth, who made an appearance on Ikechukwu's podcast Drinks with Killz made it known that Sound Sultan sent him a video of his nurse telling him that he was done with chemotherapy and was "free to go home". Unfortunately, news of Sound Sultan's demise was later announced, something that threw the comedian into great shock, according to him.

Basketmouth, who recently released a 9-track album titled "Horoscopes," also spoke about how Sound Sultan, though a Muslim, always celebrated Christmas for the less-priviledged, his philosophy towards helping without posting on social media, among other traits.

Nigerian singer, Teni has been involved in a clash with producer, Shizzi who accused her and her label of cheating him by reproducing her song, Case without his consent.

According to Shizzi, Teni and her label gave their in-house producer the song, Case even though he was the one that produced it from scratch. This all happened on Saturday, the 18th of December 2021.

Teni released Case in 2018 and that became a really big song in the country at the time and became the singer's grand entry into the music industry. The song was released under her label, Dr Dolor Entertainment.

The clash started when Teni made a tweet about people who "use" others and Shizzi replied her saying she was talking about herself as she double-crossed him on her song, Case. Teni had written, "Users have no pity, they’ll use you and feel no remorse, don’t let that crown shift. Walk away." To this, Shizzi responded;
