Kbs468:
When is the quarter final draw coming up

City will play Arsenal in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals

The game will be played at the Emirates Stadium.

City will be hoping to avenge last July's 2-0 FA Cup semi-final against the Gunners as Pep Guardiola again locks horns with his protégé Mikel Arteta.

The teams last met in the Carabao Cup in 2018 when City beat Arsenal 3-0 in the final at Wembley.

It will be the ninth meeting in the League Cup between the clubs.

The Gunners were unbeaten in the first five, but City have won the last three meetings without conceding a goal.

City are looking for a record-equalling fourth successive triumph in a competition the Club has excelled in over the past decade.

Liverpool won the League Cup four times on the bounce between 1981 and 1984.

The full quarter-final draw is:

Stoke City v Spurs

Brentford v Newcastle United

Arsenal v Manchester City

Everton v Manchester United

The matches will be played week commencing 21 December.

Mikel Arteta on a defensive playstyle: “I’m here to win. I’m here to find ways to do it. The players we have available can change our game plan. We have to be able to adapt. I think in football now, one way doesn’t work unless you are superior to the opponent all the time.” #afc

Arteta: “Sometimes it’s what you want to do as a coach & are allowed to do with the level of players & performance that top teams can do against you. [In those games] we had to defend deeper than we would like to, but we have to prepare for the games finding scenarios to win.”

Simeone: “Until October 4 we will not be calm, there are always possibilities for movement, options for someone to leave or others to arrive.”

Simeone: “We know what we need to do to complete our squad, and that will be the consequences of what happens”

Aubameyang: “Of course I am in favor of bringing Aouar [to Arsenal]. I will not hide it. He would add quality. Let’s see what happens. Even if he’s a OL player!”. ⚪️ #AFC #transfers @FabrizioRomano
