I can never ever believe klopp said this lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
But you saw the Link to the tweet at least.

Klopp actually said it though and maybe reason being that it's because we are becoming increasingly difficult to be beaten by his Liverpool team though.

Not also forgetting that Mikel Arteta had the better of some of the top 6 teams last season

Igboid:
I am Xhaka number one critic, but boy! Hasn't he improved?
Xhaka is looking like the player we all wanted to see when Wenger chose him over Kante.
No-one hates Xhaka, we just want our Arsenal back and that means that underperforming players would rightly be bashed, while at same time, once they improve their game and it reflects on the team result, they would also be praised. That's the way the sports is.

Having said this. We need as much squad depth as well can get. Xhaka will not always be fit. EPL is a marathon, throw in Europa and FA cup and League cup and you get the feeling we need quality squad depth.
Competition also bring the best out of players.

So, we should not be sidetracked from still upgrading our midfield options this transfer window.
Getting Partey in will be good and will keep the midfield competition strong and ticking nicely with players upgrading their match performance to lay a stake in the starting line up, week in, week out.
well said

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Emiliano Martinez from Arsenal - contract signed until June 2024. Talks on with Werder for Milot Rashica.
And Arsenal keep working to sell players [Torreira too] and then will try again for a top midfielder [Aouar or Thomas] #AFC #AVFC

Atlético are still convinced to refuse any negotiation for Thomas [€50m release clause]. OL have turned down swap deals for Aouar and are still pretending €60m as price tag. Top targets, complicated deals. #AFC now need to sell players - also after extending Auba’s contract. @FabrizioRomano

Rumour has it that Arsenal goalkeeper Coach Inaki Cana is pushing for his former player in Runar Alex Runarsson to be our back up goalkeeper oooooo
Alex Rúnarsson is a 25 year old who signed for Dijon in 2018. (Coached by Inaki Cana our GK coach) in Denmark and tried to sign him at Brentford in 2019. Looks like Cana knows him very well and recommended him to Arteta if the rumours are true https:///hMzCoho5Vt

Arsenal have held talks with French club Dijon over a deal for Iceland goalkeeper Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson. [@mcgrathmike @TeleFootball]

Rúnarsson, 25, has been targeted following Emi Martinez heading to Aston Villa in a £20million deal. Brentford’s David Raya has been on their wanted list; Rúnarsson would be expected to cost around £1.5million.

blueprint after tabling improved bid for Celtic ace

Date published: Sunday 13th September 2020 12:40

Arsenal aim to follow the blueprint of the deal that brought Kieran Tierney to The Emirates after launching a second bid for a Celtic hitman.

The Gunners made the perfect start to their Premier League campaign with a 3-0 victory over London rivals Fulham.

Several of Mikel Arteta’s new signings were handed their debuts, with Brazilian duo Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes impressing mightily.

Arsenal’s business in the market may not yet be complete, however, with a number of both arrivals and exits still speculated.

One such incoming could come in the forward ranks, with the club previously seeing a £15m bid rejected for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard.

The Frenchman, 23, has lit up the SPL. His efforts saw him honoured with the SPFL Player of the Year award last season.

The Hoops understandably rejected Arsenal’s initial approach, but now a second bid has been made.

According to transfer expert Ian McGarry, Arsenal will aim to bring the marksman south of the border in a deal mirroring the payment structure of Kieran Tierney’s transfer.

“It’s our information that there is an interest from Arsenal in Odsonne Edouard, the France [youth] international striker currently at Celtic,” McGarry said on the Transfer Window podcast.

“It’s our information that the initial offer from Arsenal was £15m, which was rejected by Celtic.

“That offer has since been increased to £20m with add-ons up to the value of another £2.5m.

“However, the payment would be staged over four years. Something which of course we saw last season with the transfer of Kieran Tierney to the Emirates.

“Celtic would prefer to have a much bigger payment up front.”
