Who is on Arsenal's transfer shortlist?

Houssem Aouar, Lyon

The Gunners are reportedly confident of signing Aouar from Lyon.

Juventus have also been linked with the 22-year-old but it is said they are merely observing at this time.

The midfielder scored three times and provided six assists in Ligue 1 last season.

Thomas Partey, Atletico Madrid

Partey has been linked with Arsenal for some time but a move has never materialised.

Arsenal, though, may have been handed a boost in their pursuit of the midfielder.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone has reportedly phoned Lucas Torreira about moving to Madrid, which could pave the way for Partey to join the Gununers.

Runar Alex Runarsson, Dijon

Arsenal are said to be closing in a deal for Dijon goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson.

Runarsson just needs to undergo a medical before finalising his move.

He is expected to provide backup to Bernd Leno following Emiliano Martinez's departure to Aston Villa.

David Raya, Brentford

In an unusual transfer development, Arsenal are also reportedly keen to bring in another goalkeeper after Runarsson.

David Raya has been mentioned as a target after impressing between the sticks for Brentford.

It's thought Raya would compete with Leno for the No 1 spot, with Runarsson to provide cover for the pair.

David Moyes: "If you win two trophies in six weeks you will be high on confidence.
Mikel has done a brilliant job in a short time so we have to give him credit for that, and our job is to go there and ensure he does't have an easy time. We'll go there looking to win."

''Mikel was always slightly different. He came from a good background of football. He's seen both sides of things.

Mikel has changed the mindset of the players at Arsenal, he knows that to be a good team you have to be good on the ball, but do the other side of it too.''

Spy360:
50m is too expensive for a 27yo Ghanaian. We should be clear on what we need. We need a solid ball playing, tackling DM not Partey per se. If we don't have the money to throw away then we should be looking at other options. I believe Edu is smart enough to know this anyways.
€50 million or £45 million it is actually.

Exactly like you have said that we need a solid Ball playing and good tackling DM of which partey is one.

Besides, Such amount can be recoup from machandise aside from the guaranteed EPL title and champions league football that could come along with him.

Look I watch La Liga matches too and so I am very much aware of what partey can bring to the table absolutely
