I later returned to Nigeria after few months and avoided Ikoyi where my ex-boss office is situated. I then got a new job as a driver in the fashion I did before. I also stole N600,000 and eloped to Ghana again.

I returned to Lagos in 200 and used my old method to secure another job as a driver at the home of the first family I kidnapped their daughter. When I realised that they are very rich and loved their daughter deeply. I took the girl to Ghana from where I demanded a ransom of only N20m but the girl’s father paid N22m instead. I then freed the girl in Ghana/

Once I got this money, I ventured into an extravagant lifestyle and bought a house in Ghana. Then, I bought over five exotic cars and a truck. I began to show prominently in social functions where people hailed the way I was spending money.

I spent over N2m on orphanages and local primary schools in Ghana. The Deputy Nigeria Ambassador to Ghana and other prominent Nigerians were also in attendance at the handing over ceremony of my donations.

Early this year, I was arrested along with my wife, in Lagos. We were brought to the court but we later regained our freedom due to the power of my money and connections.
I have to admit, I have done wrong and I have caused pains to several families but I want to live and pay for my evil crimes.

I heard several stories about SARS and their operations but I never thought that I would one day be brought here for reckoning.

Had a minor accident dt affected the gear box bottom pan of the above car causing transmission oil leakage.

OK...It happened that I 'escorted' this friend of mine to Nsukka in ENUGU STATE to go meet the parents and the family of the girl he wants to settle down with. We were asked to come back the next day for 'The List'. Shaa, to cut the long story short, we returned the next day, and I was like WTF!!

Not that am vexed at NSK people for the high price/cost of getting married to their girls; BUT my anger is that this particular girl that my friend wants to marry is even yet to graduate from her school (a poly) and she's not even fine . So on what basis should the list be that high?

Most communities in Nsukka do not give list for marriage rites. OP, u didn't mention where in Nsukka. Are u sure it was Nsukka u went to with ur friend?

If there is a leak through the valve seals, you will see blue smoke when when u start the car and sometimes while driving. If you don't see blue smoke, then your valve seals are okay.

I will observe again. Maybe having difficulty differentiating blue from white smoke. Thanks.

Do you notice oil stains where you park the car overnight? Check your exhaust and see if you can touch oily soot. Or have someone else drive the car like you would normally, while you follow behind in another car. Look for light blue smoke. Some cars smoke lightly under heavy acceleration and the owners don't even know cos it can't be seen from the rear view mirror. Try these and you will figure out where it's losing oil from.

I closely observed it from behind as you suggestted, I understood white smoke comes out from the exhaust tail on start up in the morning, or when u drive & park for say three(3) hours & start again after cooling.
Mechanic thinks there's oil leak into the engine from the valve seal.
What is your take, how do you think the engine will fair if it is opened to change the seal?

I will look out for 5W-30 or 10W-40 oil grade & see what happens, but I'm sure 5W-40 was also stated in the manual as alternative.

The 1.8T engine MUST be run exclusively on 5W-30 synthetic. Run it with a thick, heavy 20W-50 grade, and sludge will destroy that engine. All petrol AND diesel VAG engines built from 1998> require 5W-30, >1998 will run happily on 5W-30 or 10W-40.

20W-50 oil may be common in Nigeria, but common does NOT make it right.

190,000 kms is a mere 118,750 miles. My 2005 Audi A8 has covered over 150,000 miles, and still runs exclusively on 5W-30 synthetic oil.[/color]

The 190,000 mileage mentioned is in miles. Mr Siena, i have not used the 20w-50 oil grade because of how you have stressed the effect of sludge on 1.8T engine in your audi/vw thread. But with this level shortage, what should one do?

0w 40 is synthetic, for a car manufactured in 2001, u shud knw that the rings will have clerance , hence oil leaks out , even though theres no smoke, the rings are obviosly bad . Its advisale to go for 20w 50 which is what is common in naija.

My present experience: I use recommended engine oil grade of 5W 40 from forte oils. I notice significant oil shortage without external leaks, though there'rr oil stains around the engine body. The engine does not smoke either.
The last engine oil change I did has covered about 3000 miles, within this period I've topped the oil with almost 3 litres.
Please Is this normal, or should I switch to conventional oil or could it be from the product?
Suggestions please!

This said golf 3 goes off on motion, & restarts immediately. It's 1992 model, 2.0 engine with fuel injection system. It was also rough idling. Meanwhile it has no OBD port, so can not be scanned.
The air flow meter was changed which controlled the rough idling but still goes off on motion.
However it doesn't go off on motion if CT switch is disconnected( suggested by a mechanic though).
PLEASE ANY IDEA TO SOLVING THIS PROBLEM WILL BE APPRECIATED.
Pls share an idea if you have.

IdaraCHODB: Where are the oil stains noticed aka found? Close to seals? if yes, purchase and replace the seals and the leaks will stop. If its around the drain plug, tighten it. Check all the other bolts around the engine

I do not recommend conventional oil if synthetic oil can serve the application.

I presently use recommended engine oil grade on 2001 year model of Audi a4 but notice shortage. The manual said 0 - 30 was first used in the engine, but 5-30 or 5-40 can be used. I found Forte Synth10000 with 5-40 grade & used it. The car's mileage is 190k+. presently the oil change in early April has covered about 2,250 miles,between that period & now there has been additional 1litre oil to achieve normal gauge .
There are oil stains noticed around the engine body but not to extent of dropping on the ground.
My question is, in view of the high mileage & oil shortage, do i switch to conventional oil? or are there other possible causes of the shortage?
Meanwhile the vehicle doesn't smoke.
Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.
