For me, I use it to monitor my data usage and it's pretty cool. It gives a run down of the data usage of apps for the day, month and all time. |
This is actually the first time a Galaxy Note would have an IP68 water resistance rating. But what does this truly mean? It denotes that the Note 7 can be placed under water surface up to 5 feet for up to 30 minutes. The letters 'IP' in IP68 stands for "Ingress Protection", while the "6" in it represents the rating for resistance to dust. And at "6", it's actually very good. Now for the "8" in the rating (IP68) It points to how much water the Note 7 can withstand. So that's simply it, the Note 7 can be placed under water surface to 5 feet deep for up to 30 mins. Meanwhile if you go overboard and get past its limit, it might just tend to react. Source : http://www.informationfromjay..nl/2016/08/the-galaxy-note-7-is-waterproof-and-has.html?m=1 |
Now, following from the topic above, we'll be taking a look at a quick comparison between Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Apple's iPhone 7. On performance -The Note 7 comes up with 4 GB of RAM, while the iPhone 7 will only come in at 2GB. Apple also has an upgraded CPU with the next gen A10 chip. Design wise - The Note 7 as we've seen has a very nice design, actually one that I love. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 should carry much of the same design from last year. The Note 7's screen features a Gorilla Glass 5 which is slightly tougher than the previous model. To the screen - The Note 7 has a captivating 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display. But not so with the iPhone 7 which will come with a 326ppi, IPS LCD Panel technology. Samsung's is obviously better. From the Camera perspective - The Galaxy Note 7 packs a 12MP shooter with phase detection, dual pixels, the rest are details ; which falls short when compared to Apple's iPhone 7 which will deliver probably a better camera than Sammy this year. On the Software side - The iPhone is trusted to get the job done better than the Note 7. With the debut of iOS 10 on its new iPhone compared to Samsung Note 7's Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which is not the latest. But Android Nutella is, and will get to the Note 7 a bit late. So, that's it guys, it's been pretty much a drag between Samsung and Apple on this one. But best believe that Samsung is more advanced in technology today. But I still think the Note 7 should be compared with the iPhone 7 plus instead (if there would be such this year), which is slightly bigger and better. The Note 7 is a monster Phablet. The iPhone 7 may not stand a chance. [ Note : The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been launched and will be available starting this Friday. While the iPhone 7 will be launched in September. ] Source : http://www.informationfromjay..nl/2016/08/samsung-galaxy-note-7-vs-iphone-7.html?m=1 |

More to come this decade. But Consumers also want it! |
Dullahi:They just need a little time and it'll happen. |
A while ago, last month I said Samsung's 16TB was the World's largest SSD, but as of now that has changed. Seagate just announced its 60TB SSD on Tuesday the 9th. And as I've earlier explained that an SSD (Solid State Drive) has no moving parts, and performs much faster than a hard disk drive. Unfortunately, this device is not targeted for the Consumer market, but as a solution for data centers that utilizes massive storage on the long-term. It should be available in 2017. |
Would rather have a good night sleep, or better still consider another network. |
As far as I'm concerned there's no innovation with this phone, so why pay that much? Is it even waterproof? |
I realize we all use our phones for various little things. But some of us may tend to go overboard by engaging our phones on heavy usage. Be it browsing the Web, playing games or watching videos. All these kinda things would have a great impact on the battery, deciding its battery life and hence how long you use the device. You've probably heard of some battery saving tips like: reduce your screen brightness or use auto-brightness, don't use live wallpapers, disable Wi-Fi or 3G when watching a video or when the phone's idle. While these may be true, it still does not determine whether the battery is a good or strong one. I use a Smartphone whose battery is 5000mAh, it has a 4.5-inch screen, as a result the battery easily lasts 2 - 3 days on moderate use, but a 2200mAh battery like the Infinix hot 2 is actually meant to last for a day or a little more ; that is if that phone is your daily driver (and note: it has a 5-inch screen). The display could wear a small battery out especially when it's a large screen. You should know that when shopping for a Smartphone, battery life is a key issue, but now you're stuck with this one, let us know its battery life. Olasco93:Don't mind them, we didn't ask them to increase the data. But let them reduce the price of sufficient data. Point, blank, period. |
charix:Not all phones are meant for every pocket. Smartphones are actually growing into the Phablet category (Phones with 6-inch screen). Just as it's not ideal to pocket a tablet, larger screen Smartphones will eventually find their way out of the pocket. |
You must have noticed the trend. Nowadays, no Company ever releases a flagship with a screen less than 5-inches. Even some of today's mid-range phones enjoy a 5.5-inch screen. And this has led to the view that it is actually a threat to small screen phones. I do understand that there are some Smartphone users who still fancy phones of 4-inches and below which is actually the size of today's small screen. Small screen usage has its advantages ; easy to hold & operate with one hand. And also, easy to fit into any pocket. As much as larger screen Smartphones are on the rise and seem to be taking over, I'm also of the opinion that smaller screen Smartphones should stay, at least for now. So guys, what are your thoughts on this one? Source : http://www.informationfromjay..nl/2016/07/will-small-screen-smartphones-ever.html?m=1 |
power900:OK. I get that. I just thought there weren't enough of them to begin with. |

We move to notable locations but aren't entertained with free Wi-Fi. What could be the problem? I mean, I don't have unlimited data! Trying to cut cost means trying to take advantage of available Wi-Fi whenever possible. Commercial centers/ Companies should look into this for we do need this service. |
Hmm... People in Germany are now being persuaded to consume electricity. Germany paid People at a point in time in May to use electricity because they had produced a lot than it needs. More than sufficient energy created by wind and solar power meant Consumers made a profit as prices got so low they became negative. Germany plans to hit 100% renewable energy by 2050. I got mine simply because its battery is an added advantage. In these days of epileptic power supply, you really need a phone whose battery can last 3 days . |
Hmmm... I've tried cooling with a cold sachet water before when engaging in a download spree. *Cool |
It's finally Android Nougat! Guess no one saw this coming! |
Apparently, this is the difference between a Solid State Drive and a Hard Disk Drive according to Google : 'Like a memory stick, there are no moving parts to an SSD. Rather, information is stored in microchips. Conversely, a hard disk drive uses a mechanical arm with a read/write head to move around and read information from the right location on a storage platter. This difference is what makes SSD so much faster.' |
Samsung Electronics, the tech giant is now shipping a 15.36 terabyte (TB) Solid State Drive (SSD) . It was first revealed at the 2015 Flash Memory Summit in August. So, how much is 16TB worth? It's worth 3500 DVDs or 7 billion type - written pages. Note : This 16TB SSD is only for the enterprise market. In that wise, not yet for PC consumers. |
As for me, what I need them to do is to sell a reasonable and sufficient amount of data below N1000, then the data war begins. |
Hmm... I've learned that to be more productive, you shouldn't be on all or most of the social media platforms. A few would do. |
Smart launcher does the job pretty well, organizes all your apps into categories, easy and less lag.
|
This is simply market strategy. |
Nice display. But the RAM & ROM size could be increased. |
This sub has taught me patience with data speeds. Eventually it downloads what I need. |
TechLector:Sammy's still the Android king. |
midworld:An 8GB ROM is disappointing for this device. |
The last time I tried it at 3am to download some files, I barely used 100mb because of Mtn's incompetence. The rest is history. |
Emmaway:You're welcome! |
