iwaeda: Breaking News: Things are moving much faster than under the @TheJusticeDept (DOJ) under President @JoeBiden. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro (@USAttyPirro) again asked Judge Beryl Howell yesterday for more time. This is not simply an effort to stonewall. The government says it is dealing with very sensitive information. In our opinion, we believe this may mean that President Tinubu was caught and made a deal with the U.S. government, which would explain why funds were seized from his accounts but he was not criminally prosecuted.
Per U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro’s new emergency request, the @FBI, @DEAHQ, and U.S. Attorney’s Office are still working internally to prepare their explanation for Judge Howell, and some of what they want to tell the judge is so sensitive that they are asking to share it with her privately. The government says two declarations require what is called “ex parte in camera review”. This means they want Judge Howell to review them privately. The government says it needs additional time to complete its work and has now asked the court to move its deadline from August 21 to August 28.
This is a major development in the fight to uncover the DOJ, FBI, and DEA records concerning drug-trafficking allegations involving Nigerian President Bola #Tinubu (@officialABAT). After more than three years, the American and Nigerian people deserve to know what is in these files. We appreciate the work being done by U.S. Attorney #Pirro, the FBI, DEA, and @TheJusticeDept under President @realDonaldTrump.
In our opinion, what we will continue to tell the @realDonaldTrump Administration and Congress is this: deal or no deal, for the integrity of the United States and President Trump, especially after Venezuela, release the documents. The United States and the #Republican Party do not need another Epstein scandal.

TrioVibes: BREAKING!!! All Eyes on Wike and the Judiciary as Tinubu Disqualification Suit Is Suddenly Transferred, Judgment Halted, Case Adjourned Indefinitely
All Eyes On Nyesom Wike And The Judiciary, As Federal High Court Chief Judge Suddenly Transfers A Law Suit Seeking For The Disqualification Of President Bola Tinubu From The 2027 Presidential Election, Over Alleged Discrepancies In His Primary And Secondary School Certificates; Quickly Blocks Judge From Delivering Judgement; Adjourns The Case Indefinitely
There is growing outrage in Legal and Civil Society circles in the country, over the sudden transfer of a suit seeking to disqualify President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the 2027 Presidential election, over alleged discrepancies in his Primary and Secondary School certificates.
The case was filed by the Centre for Reform and Public Advocacy, at the Federal High Court, in Kano, marked FHC/K/CS/312/2026. It alleges that President Tinubu submitted forged documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, including a Chicago State University Diploma
At the heart of the suit is a Constitutional question on whether the President meets the minimum educational requirement to hold Office. The Plaintiffs argue that President Tinubu claimed to have attended Government College Lagos, but official records show that the School was established in 1974. By his own biography, the President would have completed Secondary School around 1970, four years before the School even existed.
According to the group: “This chronological impossibility, means the President could not have obtained a legitimate Secondary School Certificate from that Institution.”
Nonetheless, Lawyers and Activists have kicked against the decision of the Federal High Court Chief Judge to transfer the suit, describing it as part of a wider plot to frustrate the Court from delivering a fair judgement or delivering judgement at all.
Critics say that moving the case at this stage, without a clear date for hearing, will only delay a matter of urgent public importance, ahead of the 2027 Presidential election.
For many Nigerians, this feels familiar. Similar questions over academic records trailed the 2023 elections. In that cycle, Atiku Abubakar sought and obtained a United States of America, USA, Court order, compelling Chicago State University to release President Tinubu’s records, arguing that the documents could still be used at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, under exceptional circumstances. President Tinubu’s Lawyers then told the USA Court that the release would cause severe and irreparable harm, and that it was a fishing expedition.
The US Judge overruled the objections, stating that, she was only affirming Atiku’s right to access, and not ruling on the merits.
The timing of the latest development makes the new suit even more sensitive, because Presidential Election Campaigns for 2027 have already begun; and any question on eligibility goes to the heart of the ballot. From 1999 to 2023 to 2026, allegations over Certificates have followed the President.
The Constitution requires a Presidential Candidate to have at least a School Certificate or it’s equivalent.
The outside criers are still on this matter of pedigree and ethical integrity while the inner criers too will continue to defend it without telling us the primary and secondary school that our president attended if truly those school really existed for clarity purposes so as to shame we the outside criers or probably those schools are in another PLANENT. May God heal our land
NigerianAngelo: Peter Gregory Obi scored 6.1m votes in 2023. His Deputy Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso scored 1.47m. That's a combined 7.6m votes, assuming uniform in patterns.
In 2023, he was without partners such as Sen. Henry Dickson, Sen. Omo-Agege, Hon. Victor Ochei, and Governorship candidates such as Sen. Aishatu Binani (Adamawa), the former SSG in Bauchi now campaigning for Governor Bauchi State, a candidate in Sokoto, Kano, Zamfara, Benue and other places.
His NASS allies are also returnees, twice as experienced and desperate to get their return mandates.
The Naira scarcity affected turnout in 2023 (27%), the lowest since 1997. Voter turnout was 34% in 2027.
By all accounts, voter turnout is likely to surpass 33% in 2027 (going by former elections), and the candidate of the APC is not sure to be the target of them.
So what if the numbers coalesce in Peter Obi's favour, and he edges the incumbent, and is elected, and nothing happens, and is returned?
Have you prepared for a Peter Gregory Obi Nigeria?
God forbid such dull fellow find his way to our aso rock. Worse than buhari and Jonathan put together.
You were chased away from representing them in miss world. They didn't hide their disdain for you
Nigeria accepted you wholeheartedly and you did well during the competition.
Why go back to same people that have not hidden their hatred for you.
Even if you win the case in court and they say you are their citizen, would you be free from the locals and their attacks, most esp as their govt plays the ostrich
Nigeria has great opportunities for you, despite our pressing challenges. If you do not want to stay in Nigeria, you can easily relocate.
Well except the safety of your life doesn't mean much to you.
esnbrutality: The gist on the street is collect the money and VOTE RIGHT..
And you think Nigerians are stupid to vote someone who will 'not give shishi' as he did in anambra or atiku who will loot your generation and generation to come. Dey play
Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Day marks the culmination of a full week of traditional activities, and has been observed as a work-free day in Lagos since 2023, following a request from the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs.

Penguin2: This case initially appeared to have stalled and been forgotten but amidst a renewed push by Trump’s Attorney, the judge handling the case has now ordered the release of Tinubu drug files in the United States of America.
LagosOrigin: This isn't looking good for tinubu especially at this time that Donald Trump is president ..
It's sure gonna be a long ride for tinubu because trump is no respecter of anybody. If tinubu is implicated, trump will pick him up like he did to president nicholas Maduro of Venezuela.
You people and this your needless rhetoric will all end in shame.
Radicalwarrior: "VALUES OVER PARTY" — MORE TINUBU SUPPORTERS DEFECT FROM APC AS SLOW ACTION ON BROTHELS ANGER GRASSROOTS _"We Voted For Renewed Hope, Not Renewed Immorality"
The political ground under the APC is shaking again.
Dozens of Tinubu supporters across Lagos, Oyo, Kano, Edo, Rivers and the FCT have announced their defection from the APC, citing the Federal Government’s slow action to shut down brothels and criminalize patronage nationwide.
The defectors, made up of ward chairmen, youth mobilizers, women leaders and faith-based coordinators who delivered votes in 2023, say they can no longer defend a government that "talks about Renewed Hope but ignores Renewed Values."
In a joint statement signed Tuesday, the coalition said:
"We stood in rain and sun for Asiwaju in 2023. We fought on social media, in churches, mosques and markets. But 3 years later, brothels are still opening on every street. Our daughters are being recruited daily. If the President cannot take decisive action to protect our homes, then we cannot continue to wear the APC broom."
They accused some government officials of "playing politics with morality" and treating the demand as "not urgent."
The group said the last straw was the delay in presenting the "Anti-Patronage Felony Bill" to the National Assembly and the absence of a Presidential Executive Order to shut down brothels within 2 months (September To October Ending in 2026)
"We gave time. We begged. We protested peacefully. Nothing. So today, we are leaving APC. Our votes in 2027 will go to any party and candidate that puts Nigerian families first."
Sources say the defections have already affected over 200 wards in 8 states. In Lagos, 3 LGA youth leaders resigned. In Kano, women mobilizers tore their APC membership cards on camera. In Edo, a former campaign DG said:
"You cannot ask us to campaign in 2027 with brothels still in our backyard. The people will stone us."
Political analysts warn this is the first major values-based revolt inside Tinubu’s base and could cost APC critical grassroots structure ahead of 2027.
The defectors listed 3 non-negotiables before any return to APC: 1. Immediate Presidential Directive to shut down all brothels nationwide 2. Passage of Felony Bill making patronage of prostitutes a crime 3. National Rehabilitation Fund for victims with skills training
Their final warning:
"Mr. President, history will judge you. Shut down the brothels. Save our APC members children. Or watch the same hands that lifted you in 2023 drop you in 2027."
As of press time, the APC National Secretariat and the Presidency have not responded.
