Omoawoke: As long as a black man is okay, he can sell his community and people for food and won’t care.
Blacks lack this mindset of collectivity… and that’s why you people suffer the most because it’s easy to bully one of you and the rest would just watch and do nothing …
Why am I even surprised when black pastor go dey talk say 10,000 would fall by your right, 20,000 would fall by your left but no harm shall befall you and Christians would be jumping up screaming. AMENNNNN
Very selfish people You dey mind that one. That one is a spoilt child that knows nothing than to latch on money flow. Very weak thing |

Peppermaster: Asaba Set to Immortalize 1967 Massacre Victims with Monumental Memorial
By Emeka Esogbue Pen Master
Plans are underway in Asaba, the Delta State capital, to immortalize the victims of the October 1967 Asaba Massacre with a monumental memorial that will preserve their memory for generations to come.
The initiative features prominently among the priorities of His Royal Majesty, Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge, SAN, OON, the Asagba of Asaba, who has demonstrated a strong commitment to preserving the history, heritage and collective memory of the Asaba people.
As part of the initiative, internationally acclaimed artist and sculptor Mr. Enyi Echezona Jr., a multi-talented painter and sculptor of Anioma origin, has been approached to develop the proposed memorial. Echezona has already presented a proposal for the construction of a gigantic symbolic monument dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives during the tragic events of October 1967.
The proposed monument is expected to serve not only as a memorial to the victims but also as an enduring historical landmark where present and future generations can learn about the tragedy and appreciate the resilience of the Asaba people.
Speaking on the initiative, the Asagba of Asaba acknowledged the painful history of the massacre and paid tribute to the remarkable resilience of the community in the aftermath of the tragedy.
The monarch particularly saluted the women of Asaba, many of whom, following the massacre and the loss of their husbands, were forced to assume the responsibilities of breadwinners and single-handedly raise their families. He described their strength, courage and sacrifices as an important part of the history and survival story of Asaba.
According to the monarch, the development witnessed in Asaba over the years stands as a testimony to the strength, resilience and determination of its people. He noted that the community has grown rapidly, particularly since it became the capital of Delta State, despite the painful experiences that shaped its history.
He stressed the importance of remembering the past while building a stronger and more prosperous future, noting that the proposed memorial would provide an opportunity to preserve the historical consciousness of the people.
Giving the public an insight into the proposed project, Echezona Jr. explained that the monument would stand approximately 45 feet tall and feature a lighthouse, mini gallery and mini museum. The names of the victims of the massacre would also be prominently displayed, providing visitors, researchers and tourists with an opportunity to engage with the history of the tragedy.
According to the artist, the project was conceived as a lasting tribute to the victims and as a means of ensuring that future generations never lose sight of the history and significance of the events of October 1967.
It is hoped that the proposed monument will complement the existing memorial artwork at Ogbeosowe in Asaba and further strengthen efforts to preserve the community's historical heritage.
Asaba is fortunate to have a traditional ruler who understands the importance of history and believes passionately in preserving the story of his people. The proposed monument is therefore more than a structure of art and architecture; it represents remembrance, honour, identity and a commitment to ensuring that the sacrifices of the past are never forgotten.
As Pen Master, I am particularly pleased to be part of this historic effort and honoured to work closely with the globally respected artist, Enyi Echezona Jr. towards preserving the memories, history and legacy of our people.
For Asaba, this is not simply about erecting a monument. It is about remembering the dead, honouring the survivors, celebrating the resilience of a people and educating generations yet unborn about a defining chapter in their history. The remembrance of the killing of the indigenous people by the Biafra forces. Fair enough☹️ |

Princedapace: What are u saying? I simply explained to u that what you are experiencing is nothing new. Over the years, Nigeria has always been like this. Some areas may have better supply, while most wont. In that your state, go and check, over 80% dont enjoy stable supply. That is the point. There is nothing new here. It is the turn of your area, enjoy it. It wont last for years. And pls, I dont live in Ghetto area. It is not simply turn by turn thing. I said in my area nothing like this ever happened in the last 10 years. It's not usual it's new abeg. You dey follow me live for the area😠 |

Princedapace: So, because the cost is high, we should continue to fund politicians luxury? Like buy 39 SUV for 15 billion? I want u to really tell me what u mean. Do u know how much has been stolen so far can fix electricity? So, who has been persecuted? Where is the money? Is there any effort to fix and tackle and block corruption? So, president can spend 17billion on Aso Rock Solar but we should understand that we cant fix national electricity becus it is costly? So, u dont know that if u spend 1billion naira inside 10billion dollars, u have at least cut down the cost by certain percentage. The reason they dont tackle these things is not money, Nigeria has money, Nigeria has trillions from NNPC alone. Nigeria has resources that can fund and fix electricity. Yes, just one or two of our resources can fix electricity. The reason no one is ready to fix it is simple: Keep them in darkness, they cant be productive. When they arent productive, they worship us becus they are hungry and we can give them one cup of rice to buy their votes. Have u also wondered why education is not fixed? lol, quality education will make the citizens librated and know their left and right, govt doesnt want that and politicians dont need ur national electriicty, or education or healthcare, they rarely use ur roads, so they dont give a fly about u. Let me tell u something, people like u should stop this rubbish of making useless excuses for Nigerian politicians. I am interesed in any politician who has prioritized cutting cost, streamlining govt operations, tackling corruption and wastage, paying attention to electricity, healthcare and education. If we have sound education, we dont need to import forigners to fix our electricity.. Anyone who has such priority is my top candidate. Unfortunately we don't have such candidate. Even sowore is a thief |

Skydiv: Can you see why I said your posts are always lope sided and irritating? See you using price control as a shield for corporate incompetence, completely ignoring the fact that DisCos are failing at their most basic operational duties, which are metering, billing, and collecting their money from customers.
You are ignorant of the fact that the ₦120B failure is an operational disconnect, not a price control issue. Your May 2026 figures reveal that DisCos lost ₦120.8 billion in a single month, entirely due to internal inefficiencies on the part of DisCos, not subsidy related. DisCos' inefficiencies cost them a billing failure loss, which amounts to a whopping ₦76.08B.
DisCos received ₦328.95 billion worth of electricity but only managed to bill ₦252.87 billion. A staggering 23.13% of the energy running through their networks vanished into thin air because of poor network maintenance, technical line losses, and unmetered energy theft. Out of the energy they did manage to bill, they still failed to collect over 17% of the cash, thereby losing another ₦44.72 billion, which amounts to a total loss of #120.8B just in a single month. Do you expect the government to help them meter, and collect their own money from their customers?
How can a business purchase goods of over #300B and the management couldn't account for over #76B lost, and the same management couldn't collect payments for goods sold worth over #44B? I"m against the current subsidy structure not because it is bad, but because it is making these Discos very lazy and incompetent; they blame everybody for their failures except themselves. If not for subsidy, most of these Discos would have locked their offices by now. I quite agree with your argument |

Bitterness and hatred have negatively affected some people rationality. Thanks jare. Nigeria that is largely dependent on gas for electricity, many were talking about hydropower. |

Princedapace: Pls it is ur area and it has always been like that in Nigeria since I was a child. Nigeria has never solved her electricity problem. In every state, there are areas that may enjoy better supply and they are usually less in number. In my place now, we get maybe 5 hours per week. And it comes once per week. Until Nigeria fixes electricity, we are just noise makers. They can buy luxury SUV for 15 billion and have 1million dollars for mass wedding but have no money to fix electricity. It is a big fraudulent country and I hate it with passion. I don't blame your persimism |
