mascot87: Jonathan's tenor as a president was actually very terrible. It's only people with short memories that will not remember the disaster of a government it was back then.
Don't mind them. They now suddenly woke up to say the same Jonathan that we all witnessed his misrule and ineptitude is now suddenly a Messiah all because they hate Tinubu. Jonathan can't do 1/10th of Tinubu doings.
smileyoo: lol. Obi is actually coming to be our president, and your president, as the incoming president of federal republic of Nigeria, and you will be alive to witness it. pls, keep yourself very safe from these jihadists' terrorists, killing innocent Nigerians like Christmas chickens, yet your useless government can't even stop these killings, nor arrest one of these jihadists' terrorists that recently killed 200 Nigerians in kwara state, yet the brainless citizens are still proud to support such a very useless government in Nigeria .
Obi is too unintelligent for my liking and for many who saw through his charade. He won't be president ever. Go write it down.
Neyozy1: It is the loophole with our electoral laws that politicians often exploit in court. The supreme court pass a judgement on the litigation brought to it from the outcome of the 2023 presidential election that the IREV portal is not one of the evidential proof captured by the 2022 electoral law but the form EC8A and what this means is that irrespective of the numbers of winning votes recorded at the collation centre and transmitted to the IREV portal it is not valid by law so the politicians make sure the form EC8A is swap on it way to the collation centre with the aid of INEC officials hence the pressure or advocacies by well meaning Nigerians that electronic transmission of collated result at the polling unit is mandatory and also the primary source of evidential proof in court.
Politicians will still find their way around this. No system is fool proof. Even Peter obi want to rig election against his opponents. We watch and see sha
Racoon: ”We assure INEC of our full support towards using electronic voting in 2015. We also appeal to all other political parties, Civil Society Organizations and indeed all Nigerians to join us in pushing for a system that will eliminate the role of thugs and sideline vote thieves during our elections, in addition to making our elections free, fair and credible.
"...While electronic voting is not a magic wand, it is the surest way yet for Nigeria to join the league of countries that have wiped out electoral fraud, which is the worst form of corruption.
It is also the best way to hand over Nigeria’s elections back to Nigerians, instead of having the judiciary determine who wins what contest....."
They should be reminded that they once advocated for it. Now they want to dodge it @all cost when it will cost them their structure of electoral criminality. The world have gone beyond this rhetorics.
Fake products, drug trafficking, kidnapping for ransom fraud etc are all corruption in varying form with far worse implication
ALTERNATEID: Great. Now, let's see the excuse the sore losers will come up with after losing the 2027 presidential election. Let's see what the twin rogue of Atiku and Obi who both claimed victory in an election they both lost will come up with now.
Amaechi, elrufai, aregbe and co are all trying to usurp each other.
I see faces of people who chop Nigeria to the bone there becoming emergency activists. They drained Nigeria so much it enters ICU. Yet the thieves are here today acting like they are not the ones that destroy Nigeria institutions so severely
A tense confrontation erupted between former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, and police officers at the National Assembly.
In a viral video on Tuesday, Amaechi, a former Transportation Minister, could be seen engaging in a shouting match with police operatives.
Amaechi, who attended the protest with his son – a medical doctor – said he brought him along in case the demonstration turns violent and injuries are sustained.
He explained that he came with his son to demonstrate his belief that during major protests, leaders should be at the forefront with their families.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain called on Nigerians to rise up, adding that all opposition parties ought to be on the streets to protest the Senate’s decision.
Amaechi alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is opposed to electronic transmission of election results because it fears losing elections. Watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkTSliKlNkw
Na God catch amaechi. When he was in government for 26 years he didn't feel this agitation is necessary, rather they kept quiet 💬 ng they will be in power for ever. Na nemesis dey catch up with these heartless politicians.
cutecommend: Will you take serious a male evangelist if you see him sagging his trouser to preach? If a so-called born again christian goes to bleach his or her skin, or goes for BBL, will you take them serious?
Now if you say: "show me in the Bible where doing dreadlocks for guys is a sin". What if I tell you to show me in the bible where sagging trouser & wearing big chain, smoking weed and bleaching are clearly called sin? you may never find it: but are they good for a born again Christian? Never.
If you are truly a born again Christian, you must walk in the Spirit. You cannot be worldly or fleshly: and if you truly have the Spirit of God working in you, He can never tell you or permit you to do tattoo, dreads etc. It is only the fleshly and worldly nature that can make someone desire to appear like the world.
A true born again Christian must align with Jesus Christ always, and will never put up an appearance that will hinder the gospel or create doubts in the mind of those who will receive the gospel from them.
Note: God will never adjust His standards to fit into the world or trends. And If you say things have changed, God's holiness and judgement in eternity has not changed.
Those ones are not pastors. They are the ones the Bible calls false preachers
Moderator101: United States Senator, Riley Moore has cleared the air on reports alleging that the US is planning to divide Nigeria.
In a statement on Saturday, the lawmaker said though he was in Nigeria and engaged in multiple high-level meetings with government officials, the discussion of dividing the country never came up.
He stated that in all the discussions, the idea of “dividing the country has not come up in any serious way”.
zoedew: Locking the stable after the horse has bolted! The Kwara issue has been there for months now and it doesn’t occur to them to procure and deploy drones and uproot the collaborators deep within the communities!
Dpsychologist: This argument keeps trending because people keep missing the point.
Some say men are afraid of successful women. Others say that’s rubbish and an excuse.
The truth sits uncomfortably in the middle, and that’s why nobody wants to stay there.
Let’s clear one thing first and like the tweet in the image below says: Modern men are not strangers to capable women. We were raised by working mothers, taught by female teachers, managed by female bosses, and went to school with ambitious girls. Female success is not a shock. It is normal life.
So no, success alone is not what scares most men.
But let’s not lie to ourselves either. Some men are intimidated by successful women. Not all men and not most men. But enough to make the conversation valid. If men can feel threatened by another man’s success, why should a woman’s success be magically different? Ego has no gender.
Now here is the part both sides tend to avoid talking about much.
What many men react to is not success, but what sometimes follows it. A change in attitude. Respect quietly leaving the room. Confidence crossing the line into contempt. Independence being used as an excuse to avoid accountability.
At the same time, number of women are actually exhausted. Tired of shrinking themselves. Tired of being told to be less loud, less confident, less visible. Tired of their confidence being labelled arrogance simply because it comes from a woman.
Both experiences are real.
The problem starts when people turn personal experiences into universal laws. “All men are intimidated” is false. “No man is intimidated” is also false.
The real issue is insecurity, poor emotional maturity, and lack of balance.
A secure man is not threatened by a woman’s growth. He is inspired by it. A grounded woman does not use success as a weapon. She carries it with grace.
Confidence is not arrogance. Independence is not disrespect. Success is not superiority.
Marriage is not boxing. It is not power play. It is not a battle for who earns more or talks louder. It is partnership.
Ideal 'Equality' is not about using history as leverage. It is about shared standards today. Empowerment is not exemption from accountability. It is responsibility with power.
If your success makes someone uncomfortable, it might be their insecurity. If your success turns you into someone difficult to live with, it might be your character.
Both things can be true at the same time.
Until we learn to talk about this honestly, without shouting “men” or “women” like war slogans, this debate will keep recycling itself.
Now, who is ready for that uncomfortable honesty?
Successful women are bad for the home. They become unreasonable and overtly self centered. They become less careful and detached from their reality. Success for women is not bad on its own, however there is a price to pay for everything in life.
