Honestly, the problem of government over the years, is inability to get things done properly before rushing to the media. Why always shifting. I voted for Sowore even thou, I knew he will not win, just because he offered a convincing approach to subsidy removal. The big three candidates were putting their hope on a private refinery without due diligence. Before you conclude, you must have a first hand information about what you intend to do. Sowore said he will not remove the subsidy immediately but nnpc will be made to handle all importation and he will put energy so hard to get the state own refineries function optimally before removal. Tinubu should have re organize nnpc. We don't need middlemen to import for the country. Increase nnpc capacity if they don't have to be fully in charge of importation.

Fuel subsidy was a vital tool that stabilized Nigeria's productivity especially the manufacturing sector.... Honestly without at least a functional refinery, Tinubu should have know that removal of subsidy would cause more pains to Nigerian, having already at a cross road with the last regime of hike in prices of good and services. Sowore was the only Presidential candidate that has a robust analysis about subsidy removal. All Tinubu needed to do, is to re organize and strengthen nnpc and let them be the only importer of refined crude to the country and put in more effort to make sure the nation four refineries within a year is fixed. That is exactly what Sowore said. I voted for Sowore after that brilliant statement. I see him like the new Senegal president. If Nigerian's really what see the country move forward very well, then we don't need to recycle same faces as a leader. We need a very young and vibrant leader like Sowore who is fearless, audacious and radical Atiku and Obi would have toes same way with Tinubu because they all agreed to immediately end subsidy as soon as they are sworn in.

Asaba our sister state is an example. The most road infrastructure since 1999 in Benin was done by Oshiomole. He also rehabilitated and construct new schools, through his red roof revolution. Under his tenure, people were using various school compound for social activities, because of the transformation. Benin city our capital is the most disorganized. Go to the so called GRA and see for yourself when it rains. When you visit other state capital, you will see beautiful flowers and trees. Good drainage system with nice roads. To say since 1999 to date, the Benin's have produced two governors with combined sixteen years and couldn't turnaround the city for good.

According to confidential sources within the APC, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership are angry that the APC candidate in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo cannot in fact speak correct English language.

Infact there is a major concern that Monday can not even spell Tuesday.

As of the time of this report, the APC is in total disarray and confusion as it battles with the embarrassment the APC candidate is daily causing the party.

Some of the leadership of the APC in Edo State have since been summoned to Abuja to answer to how Monday Okpebholo emerged as candidate of the party.

There are suspicions that Monday may have emerged through a compromised promise that left out the best the party could have fielded.



According to a source that pleased to be kept anonymous, "The Presidency summoned Oshiomole and Monday over Monday's inability to communicate in English. The Presidency fears that the APC chance in this Edo election is very slim based on all indications.


"With this development, some key stakeholders in the party are not happy that each time Monday open his mouth to speak, he causes more damage to the party's reputation.

"As a result of this, Monday and Oshiomole have been advised to stay mute during the campaign in order for them not to destroy the slim chances the party has left to make any good impression before September 21 to Edo people.


According to another insider within the APC, Asue Ighodalo is obviously going to win this forthcoming Edo State Governorship election.

Goodluck will not contest against Tinubu. They are looking for a weak president who they can manipulate. Bala Mohammed was minister of FCT and nothing tangible he did. I support Tinubu with his bold changes and effectively putting the country back on the right track.
