Good evenibg mothers. Pls permit me to ask. What is d difference between a bouncer and a rocker? And if one is to choose one of d two which one will u recommend and why?
rocker is the one that you would have to use your leg or hand to rock the baby.but bouncer bounces on itz own(what kind of English is this sef?).although, when I went to buy for my son, ibtold the woman I wanted a bouncer and she gave me a rocker instead.I didn't know the the diff until I started using it.but I prefare the bouncer as it would be bouncing your baby while you work. you can google to see pix

U didnt spell my name well.didnt get ur mention.
Please dont take the drug. What is ur current week.
When i was sick during my firat trimester.they didnt give me any drug till baby crossed 10weeks.
I was managed with iv fluids nd paracetamol.

Artemether is not safe in ist trimester.
And its one of the surest way of curative malaria treatment.( you know the fansidar given during 2nd trimeater is preventive malaria treatment)

Please see another gynae.
U fit use ur instinct and just tackle ur fever with paracetamol, take lots of water, fruits u can tolerate till u cross to a safe week.then you can treat
I will take lots of water and fruit for now till I get another gynae I don't want any wahala. thank you ma

Arthemeter/Lumefantrine is not recommended in pregnancy esp in early stage. Chloroquine is better and should be supported with an anti allergy drug. See any doc

Gracedom:
I don’t know about this drug and I don’t if my post will help but incase I tested positive to malaria at 5weeks and the doctor said treating malaria at that stage is dicey and malaria itself isn’t safe so he recommended in his words, one of the safest drug, Amodaquine and in split/low dose. I discussed with another gynae who said I shldnt use anything that it’s all part of pregnancy unless it seems serious.

Long and short, I didn’t use (scared cos I’ve had two miscarriages and they were blamed on different particular drugs).

Went back to hospital at 8weeks and viola , no malaria.

I’m wondering what happened, I’m not a doctor/lab scientis but maybe malaria test is read in percentages and maybe there is a low percent that pregnancy makes pronounced.

I dont know sha just consult another gynae and be very sure it’s malaria u have. You can also ask about Amodaquine

The week you are in matters too cos I learnt treating malaria in is compulsory from 2nd trimester
thank you ma.I will try and see another gynae

I was also skeptical when I was given malaria drugs which I also learned (browsed) was not too safe for my stage of pregnancy at the time.

But I was made to understand that when the potential harm the malaria may do to baby outweighs the risk of the drug, then we ought to go with the drug.

Don't worry, as long as it was prescribed by your doctor, then go ahead and take it. The malaria is really not good for baby. At the end, baby will turn out just alright ok?
Thank you ma
