Wait till she's hungry before offering her a bottle.
Let someone else also feed with bottle and try to step outside the environment she may accept it.
Some children move straight to spoon and bowl. Explore that too

I've tried the hungry before bottle approach, she no gree. I'll try the spoon method and give feedback. Thanks

@keji3, I didn't notice the bcg scar on my baby till he was 4 months. I think u should chill for some time, other mammas can add sha.
I never won bottle feeding with my baby as well, I just started spoon feeding him with the formula and he took spoon better than the bottle. Spoon may be slow though just be patient.

Ok thanks i appreciate, i'll chill out on the bcg. Waoh spoon feeding formula well i'll try that out today. This babe is so starting cereal next month so help me God

Good morning house, pls my LO took the bcg vaccine 12 days after birth and up till now she does not have the scar to show for it(she will be 3 months old tomorrow). Do i need to go back to the hospital to complain or its normal for some people not to have the scar.
Abeg also i need methods to get my baby to take bottle o, i've been on that now for a week and i'm no way winning. Resumption back to work is knocking on my door and i'm scared of starting creche for her. Thanks peeps

It's entirely up to you and of course dependent on the weather at the time of bathing!

You feel the water on your own body/skin first and can intuitively tell if it won't cause the child to catch a cold.....

Thanks sis

Even person wey no dey sweat a lot go sweat for Naija, if fan or ac is not on.

Can you afford an air cooler?

If you can't, you can buy a rotating standing fan. ceiling fans are notorious for causing congested noses.

Thanks for ur prompt reply. We use rotating standing fan o. I'll try air cooler as soon as i can

IMO You can use the baby carrier. I started using it for my babies from 9 days old.
Thanks jare, i've brought it out to use.
Onegai:

Depends on the type of carrier. Baby Bjorn tends to leave the hips unsupported a bit (but there's no actual indication that it is an unsafe carrier). I have that one but Baby E was too small for it so I got a Baby K'tan (it is basically like t-shirt stretch material and works like backing your baby but in more styles). The hips are better supported there as the child is in sitting position.
Thanks much appreciated

Its not inverted but not dat big.milk has started coming out gradually just dat baby can not hold on to d nipple so we both struggle.

Dont worry urself too much, the more she try the better remember she's also new to this. By the end of today or tomorrow u'll tell a better story. Enjoy

Good evening mothers, I just ported to this thread, had my Lo yday.
My challenge is my nipple is not big enough for baby to grab.what can I do to ensure baby feeding well.

Congrats God bless your LO. Is the nipple inverted and has ur milk come in? My nipple felt as if it was not big enuf before my milk came out but once my baby felt the milk, she grabbed on the nipple well and fed now the nipple is bigger than when i first gave birth. If its inverted nipple, the nurses can help pull it out a bit but its very painful i did it on one breast in the hospital when i thought it was inverted but could not stand to go thru the pain for the second breast. Be patient, it will all work out soon.

About the itchy tips no idea, experienced mum's will help handle that.

We got the 2 injections today on special request @ LASUTH for N14,400. Was told Rota is just 2 doses while the other is 3 while the others are free. I have no regrets for going that far all the way from Igando. Service delivery was superb.
Now nursing high temperature and a very cranky baby, after 1 injection each on both legs.
Thanks ma'am.....chai i hope the queue at lasuth was not too much? I'm sure you LO will feel better in no time welldone mama.

I'm not sure its free anywhere in an govt hospital in lagos o, but will ask more around sha thanks ma'am.

Your LO is colicky just like most infants. Do you use hot compress on her tummy?? You can also use your finger tips to gently massage below her belly button in a circular motion. This will help release the gas stuck in her stomach and also help her poop.

Orange juice is a NO..NO unless approved by your paediatrician.
Yes i do the hot compress, i'll also try the gentle massage i appreciate
