Good day mothers, pls my 3 weeks old baby has been fuzzy, stretching and crying in his sleep since yesterday she's also straining really hard cos she has not pooed for 3days now. She's breastfeeding well but also strains and stretch while on breast. Pls help out with how to help her poop and also stop the fuzziness and st retching cos she's not sleeping well both during the day and night. Thanks

Good morning everybody, pls mothers that wash baby's hair once a week how do u manage bathing them without water getting to their front and back hair my baby always gets water to those places when i bath her. Please I also need suggestions on baby conditioner products out there. Thanks people

WeLl for me I didn't lie down to feed my LO till he was 4 months.....heard it wasn't safe neonates and could cause ear infection
For d burping, it depends on d baby my baby didn't burp all d tym afta fEeedin and even wen he burps, he till spits milk curds buh as he grows dat phase jux passd unnoticed...
So jux do ur best and know dat u are tryin no need too fEel bad

Hello peeps, pls does lying down to breastfeed a newborn have any effect on either mother or baby. I tried dis position once but want to be sure of no side effects. Also it seems she never burps no matter the position i try, am i doing something wrong cos she vomits at times and i always feel bad. Pls help me know better

I will come back to introduce myself shortly but right now I'm distressed.
Gave birth almost 24hrs ago and up till this point there's not a single drop of breast milk.
I have tried pap tea hot liquids etc but nothing. Baby now refuses to latch on cos nothing comes out ndy beautiful bobo is obviously hungry. I'm
almost in tears myself.

What else can I do

Congrats mama, same thing happened to me last week when i had my baby, i took pap i didnt work for me but palmwine did, the result was almost immediate and i've been overflowing with breast milk since then.

Please is it normal for my 11 days old baby to grunt in her sleep(i've been checking maybe she has cold) and she also stretches alot. Also how can i get her to burp when she falls asleep after feeding cos it seems she never burps even after placing her on the shoulder and rubbing her back.

Its good to finally port to this thread, my baby is 5days old and finally getting a grab of so many things i've read here. I was given multivitamins and ampicillin drops for my baby but i'm confused on why she will need it cos there was no complains about her didnt check the drugs b4 we left the hospital and cant go back to the hospital for now. Pls i jst want to know if anybody has had to use the drugs on a newborn and under what circumstances.

You know how when one is cooking jollof rice on open fire & the rice is cooked but you want that extra crispy taste & firewood smell, the firewood is removed and charcoal is left to "finish" the job... Na there we dey now.

My munchkin is toasting up to give more kick & flavour.

I started feeling menstral like cramps around 3am on saturday but didnt take it too serious but a very serious cramp woke me up around 6am immediately i turned to adjust myself i felt gush of water rush out of my veejay and my mucus plug too came out, na so i wake hubby up meanwhile my hospital bags was not packed yet. We started putting everything togeda and left for the hospital around 8am cos i wanted to stay at home for as long as possible as per based on what i've learnt here. By the time i got to the hospital and was checked, i was already 5cm na then serious back pain start o infact it felt as if my back was going to detach from my body. I was screaming like my whole life depended on it, like 2hrs after i got to the hospital, i shouted on them that i want to poo they shouted back at me not to poo o so i was checked again and was fully dilated infact my baby's head was almost out so i was rushed to labour room and my sweet princess was born into this world with jst 2 push and no tear at all infact the nurses kept asking me if i'm sure i'm a ftm i spent less than 3hrs in the ward and labour room b4 giving birth. God is really in the business of answering prayers cos i had high blood pressure all thru pregnancy but God took total control yesterday the blood pressure regulated itself without medication. Na battle to produce breast milk we dey now but i know that one self with settle soon too. Thank you for reading my long story i wish every pushing mother here easy ride in delivery in Jesus name amen
