The hospital i use are saying it's scarce amd it goes for 10,000 and 12,000 for mmr on getting to another place today they said mmr is 5,000 that's like 7k difference. I'm now confused should i wait till my trusted hospital get their with the huge amount or go for the 5k. Sorry for my gibberish gist na recession cause am. Thanks

Once upon a time there was a little princess who was so beautiful, clever and kind that she made everyone around her happy. One monday 11/07/16, on her birthday, all of her family and friends gathered together to show her how much love and happiness she had brought them. We love you Cookie. #mybabyisallgrownup #toddler #princess #mybestfriend

Why dont you wear her a thick short sleeved body suit with socks and then cover her up with flannel, that way the cold doesnt hit her directly and her skin gets to breathe.

Thanks ma'am....I appreciate

For d sweating, my baby sweat a lot, what I do is that I make sure he wore something that cover his chest and wear socks for him at night, then I use cover cloth for him when d weather is cooling, remove again when sweating, I have packed his sleeping suits somewhere, not in use for now. Also I make sure d cutton is always raised down at night but windows opened. I think this help.

Thanks ma'am I appreciate

Hello my people, it's been a while here.
Please mothers with very sweaty babies how do u cope in this weather? My baby sweats alot and develops heat rash that itches anytime i wear her long sleeves sleepsuit to sleep how can i help her in this cool weather without her catching cold?
Can i switch straight up to our normal full cream milk instead of peak123 and co?
Thanks

AlphaHandMaiden:

Hello Keji3,

The pattern appears to be along the nappy line and it would suggest it is nappy related.
What nappy & wipes are you using for her, what is your nappy changing routine and what has changed in the last 2 weeks.

Some babies have sensitive skin and can react to the chemicals used in the production of disposable nappies.
If it is the nappy she is reacting to no amount of tribotan will help.

Thanks for ur prompt and detailed response, i've changed her diaper to another brand. Also bought another brand of wipes yesterday which she only use at creche only. I use water at home and she wears just pant at home. She has something like dat at the armpit area too but i only got a clear picture of the bum area.

lcoral:

Ok, my baby had same like rashes and boil @ 2weeks. I tried tribotan baby but no result.
I will recommend you get BACTROBAN CREAM. It was very very effective. Apply twice daily on d affected area. Got it at 3000naira over here. Buy from a Pharmacy.

Thanks i'll read up on the BACTROBAN cream. I appreciate

@keji3, my son got cured from this rash last week. It started from he's hands and legs to he's body and thighs. Went to different hospitals. Till I got to d last one, the peadtrician was honest enough to say it was a new kind of rash that is viral. She prescribed calamine lotion. My dear it worked like magic. Rub morning and night. Then top with baby rising powder.

Waoh thanks sis, i just started rising powder yesterday, will see about the calamine lotion. God bless you

Maybe its the antibiotics.
Try to take her to the clinic since its spreading.

Thanks i'll do dat.

babythug:

Any fever, cough or cold? So we rule out measles for a start. That cream seems to be making it wetter and we should be aiming for the rash to dry up. Abi since its at the back of her neck do we try dusting powder?
Though I know these days mums are advised not to use powder these days. Just keep the area as dry as possible

Thanks no fever and we just treated infections with antibiotics i'm scared to use powder cos of respiratory issues. Her hyperactivity makes it hard to keep her dry in this heat we bathe like 4 times in a day.

Is it the heat?
Or is she reacting to something?

I thought it was heat too but it looks bigger than heat rash to me and spreading more. She just finished antibiotics last week so I don't know if that's what she reacted too. I've not introduced anything new of recent. Thanks ma'am

Hello people, please this rashes like stuff on my baby, i've applied healing cream to it but it's not going away. Pls who has experienced this before and any recommendations on what to use. Thanks

Health / Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Keji3: 6:08pm On Mar 07, 2016
@onegai, my baby toi also reacts to petroleum jelly. She had a nasty diaper rash that was not responding to diaper cream and was told to try vaseline chai the reaction was immediate but i thought it was still the nasty diaper rash. I used it of recent again and I regretted it cos she came back with red swollen patches on her bum.

@tatacherie sorry u have a bad experience with molfix, sometimes we just have to try different ones to get the right one for our baby. It is well

@rabola i'm not too sure o but i tgink u should google Reflux in babies and see.

Thanks @MumZ and @favoredgal. She took all her dose of rotavirus , her two lower teeth both came out at once without any issues at all i'll be more watchful of what she puts in her mouth from now on. We've been using the same diaper for the past 3 months now without issue(molfix) that's why i'm skeptical about it being the diaper. Thanks i really appreciate

Go and get Desitin rapid relief diaper cream. I used for my baby and the rash cleared under 3days. However I will advice you discontinue use after the rash clear and get a diaper cream whose active ingredient is Lanolin and petrolatum. An example is AD diaper oitment. It helps to prevent diaper rash.

Ok thanks i appreciate

Doubledouble:

Does it sound like a normal cough?? The mucousy type, that is. If baby is feeding, drinking, playing, sleeping n breathing well, then as diffy as it sounds, it will resolve by itself.

All u can do is symptom relief:
1) get a cool mist humidifier- my personal best
2) a non medicated saline drop can help relieve dried up n stuffy nose
3) steam inhalation: just get a bowl of hot water n have baby inhale the steam
4) vapour rub: a drop or 2 of eucalyptus oil on baby's bib where he can inhale also helps
5) give baby loads of fluid: keep baby well hydrated

Whilst a lot has been said about OTC cough syrups, I am personally not a fan/advocate of it.

If cough is persistent n accompanied by high body temp, breathlessness, green snot et al, then see your pediatrician ASAP. Cough can also be a sign of something serious. Most times it is just mere cough though.

Cheers

Thanks I appreciate, it's normal cough. She's still her active self I'll try the above and hope fora change. Thanks again
