@ Snr Beedam: the rash is also on his neck and I just noticed it's spreading to his back and chest. The ones on his face and neck are drying up though it's slightly looking like a "healing bruise"
Am making sure I don't scratch it off though
Seeing a Paed on monday. Hospital said only "life threatening emergencies" are treated on weekends

Dermatologist just replied, he said take baby to the hospital and is baby acting strange (stomach upset, fever etc). But he said go to a paediatrician asap

He isn't acting strange and no fever.

stop everything you are putting on the baby! Just clean baby down with warm water and oil with olive oil for now. Even to change diapers. Please make sure you take baby to his paed and I'll try and see if I can ask. a dermatologist tomorrow to tell us what to do (I hope he answers me).

How old is baby and how long have rashes been?

My 28 Days old son sleep for long hrs when laid down on his tommy as against lying him down on his side.
I hope it wont affect him in anyway? pls help a ftm bcs dh is not comfortable with it bt i can see my DS is comfortable and enjoy his sleep better.
Experienced Mums should pls contribute so as to knw if i should ride on or stop.

Nothing to worry about. My Lo also sleeps better when laid on his stomach. And he's learning how to lift his head and body fast but I wud advise u always check up on ur Lo while sleeping on if possible stay in the same room with him (I do that) cuz this sleeping on tummy position can cause SID.

@Onegai: Thanks a lot. The rashes are tiny and clustered on different parts of his face. Haven't seen my paed yet but hopefully this week (pray I can get fuel by tomoro). Will try the sudocream as u suggested.

Pls help a first tiime mum. My 4 weeks old baby has rashes all over his face and neck even on his eyelids. It isn't looking nice at all and am scared to use sudocream on it for fear of it getting to his mouth and eyes. Plss what can i use to clear it?
N/B:I use Johnson products but have discontinued it on his face but no result

Also can someone help me with a list of the immunisations to take and when to take each. I've only taken Penta and that was when my Lo was 3 days old.
....and Erm when can i resume kpekusing (had an episiotomy but the stitches have absorbed). My 1 year anniversary is in 2 weeks + and I would like to give dh a treat.

Ao much milk r u producing?
Y r u giving NAN after each breast feeding?
The baby tummy doesn't just grow big in a day
Start expressing into into bottle and give
Increase d amount as need b
U can start wit 30mls,if ur baby seems unsatisfied,increase to 60mls
Pls DON'T overfeed the baby
Exclusive breastfeeding is achievable If u want

My Birthstory

My Edd was 23rd October but I wanted to give birth before am 39 weeks. Fast forward to 39 weeks and baby wasn't coming forth. Then I started the countdown to my edd, cuz I really wanted to give birth before my edd so I started taking long walks and eating pineapple but nothing seemed to be working. The idea of getting induced scared me a lot so I was really praying that labour starts naturally.
Fast forward to Wednesday 21st, I woke up in the morning, did some chores nd prayed a lot for labour to start. After that I started climbing the staircase ( I stay upstairs) nd wud stop wen tired. Later that evening by 4:50pm I saw blood wen I wiped after peeng but there was no mucous in it so I felt it can't be show nd was even scared smetin is wrong. So I called Hubby to start coming home that I was bleeding nd called my MIL to tel her wat was happening (she's a midwife) nd she asked me to wait it out.
Later on I started having contractions that were 5mins apart nd was still seeing blood which now had little mucous. Hubby said we shud start going to the hospital but I told him I wanted to wait a bit as I didn't want to get there too early.
By 8:15 we left for the hospital and got there by 9pm. Was checked at 9:30 nd I was 4cm dilated. I was admitted and told to lie on my left side. The pains were getting intense nd I was screaming and trying my breathe exercise but I got to a point were I felt like pushing nd couldn't hold it anyway so I started screaming "I wud push o, am pushing o" but the nurses kept shouting on me not to push; for where I was pushing at some contractions and some I wud breathe in nd out. At a point I was checked again nd I was 6cm and was pooing on the bed, 30 mins later was checked agn but was told my membrane is bulging nd abt to burst, after like 20 mins membrane hasn't ruptured so I was taken to the delivery room nd it was bursted manually. Then I was told to push now o or they wud slap me for making so much noise. I pushed and at the 3rd push my prince charming came forth weighing 3.4kg at 11:54pm . I wasn't given a cut by the dr but the baby tore me in the process of coming out which I felt was worse but seeing my cute little prince made me realise all the pains was worth it...

Yeah. Having contractions that feels like menstrual cramps. It comes like every 5 mins and i feel the pain mostly on my waist.

I've been coming online o but to type eh na wahala. Can't wait for this baby to come out o, am so worn out and getting impatient. Saw my mucous plug on Friday last week (twas so plenty) and became hopeful but so far nothing. Even did long trekking on monday sef after which I started having mild contractions but still nothing happened
It's well with us all and it shall end in praise.

Good evening mamas. Pls I need ur help. I did a scan on Friday (37 weeks) everything is okay with baby,cephalic presentation and all that but my cervix measured 4.1cm which I heard is too long for my GA.
Pls what's the implication of this? Is it something to be scared of. Pls I need ur reply asap.

Phew! Never knew pregnancy + school + work + family could be this hard. At times ur online sef but jst too exhausted to type. Starting my second semester exam on monday nd sitting down to study is jst so hard. I havent even submitted proposed Thesis topics to my supervisor whom I really dislike anyway. Whenever I lie to sleep or rest, I wake up with a throbing head pain. To sit too is wahal cuz I can't sit for more than an hour without get pains on the upper right part of my stomach just below my bust. October just seems so far
Sorry for my long rant, I wish I could get a solution but Zaynie wud soon come and tell me now it's part of the package
