Culture / Re: Major Erroneous Beliefs About The Ijebus by Kennycool1: 4:36am On Jul 19, 2015
funmo:
With over 2 decades of Ijebuism in my blood, and having had my own share of the good, bad and ugly remarks that automatically comes with the being-an-Ijebu-syndrome, I’ve come to realise the lies permanently told on my fellow Ijebus. This is not even a rise in defence, mi ma raye iyen ke. Rather, it is an education. Mainly for those refusing to get educated. I don’t wish you get educated after reading… remain ignorant of who the Ijebus truly are.

IJEBUS ARE STINGY

Definitely the most-spread myth. A certain Ijebu man from way back probably refused to give his hard-earned cowries to an undeserving dude, who unfortunately has ph.D in rumour mongering. Dude got mad and connived with his heart to declare the Ijebu fella stingy, broadcast(ed) the rumour, and his offsprings followed suit ever since. Stinginess is a personal decision, not a collective character. Only beggars know stingy people by the way! Ijebus make the best managers, and this is what they get for it?

IJEBUS ARE WICKED

Really? Bet why la? Every human has the ability to do good or evil, depends on which choice he makes. The notion is wrong and not very logical. You don’t generalize with just few samples. Ijebus are good at heart. I am a living example.

IJEBUS!!! JUJU O O!

Ehmm..(scratches head… continuously). You see!!! The whole being the best in African magic stuff from back in the days arose from a need just to be the best. I agree Ijebus used to be expert in Juju. But this is 2015 Obatala-damn-it! Some of us have moved on, becoming great Christians and Muslims. If you are a faithful of your religion, Juju won’t affect you! Ehen!

IJEBUS LOVE PARTIES

Who no like better thing ke? We created the Owambeism people now largely subscribe to heavily. Don’t they say rest is sweet after labour. What’s big deal boogie-ing down on a weekend after a worked-out week? And the Ijebus will never be mediocre; always ready to give in their best in what they do. It is such quality that makes us standout, and these jealous folks are ready to bash us for it. Go ahead! But we won’t stop!

P.S. If you die hating the Ijebus, I’m sure one will appear on your interment just to spray your casket money! Why hate?

IJEBUS LOVE GARRI

The white substance is addictive. I agree. We make the best quality when it comes to Garri. Why can’t we enjoy our labour? It is a crime to like your own great results shey? I weak o o o! #teamGarriIjebu

I am that sharp Ijebu boy and mo lovu dede Ijebu

My Ijebu folks! What has it been like getting “harassed” by people who peddle these beliefs?

The non-Ijebus! What comes to your clean mind once you hear I J E B U ?

drop them in the comment basin and let’s straighten them out!!!

Romance / Re: 5 Reasons Why Nigerian Girls Date 'yahoo' Guys by Kennycool1: 8:33pm On Jul 18, 2015
MaxNaija:

Over the years, Nigeria topped the chart for internet fraud. In Nigeria these internet fraudsters are tagged as "Yahoo Guys". After cajoling their way to get thousands/millions of dollars from gullible individuals, they in turn spend this stolen money on cars and women. They are known to be very extravagant. But even with the illegal act these guys engage in, its not surprising they are always surrounded with different kind of ladies. And some ladies also prefer to date these fraudsters even when they are well aware of the illegal act they engage in.

MaxNaija.com will be showing you 5 Reasons Why Girls Prefer to date Yahoo Guys

1. Extravagant Spending : Money earned from defrauding others is more like free money, hence no proper planning on how to spend it. They sit inside their room (hideout) for few days/weeks and then just walk to the bank to withdraw money they didn't really work for. Well, most Nigerian girls don't care how the money is gotten, as long as the money is present and they get anything they request for. So when it's pay day for yahoo guys, girls are next.

2. Party & Clubbing : Most ladies love clubbing, although not all know how to dance. But they enjoy the fun and all. After a yahoo guy gets his pay, its party time. Since ladies are aware of this, they don't miss the chance to go out and have all the fun. A yahoo will spend some chunk of his money to celebrate like he just won the presidential election.

3. Romance : Every lady loves a man who can show her romance, yahoo guys are sweet talkers, they've got that sugar-coated tongue, little wonder they know how to talk their way to defrauding individuals. If a yahoo guy can sweet talk a 70 year old to sending him money with fake promises of marriage. They are players, they know to sweet talk a lady and get her. Ladies love sweet words, hence they love yahoo guys.

A yahoo guy always have time for his lady, when a he isn't glued to his computer, he is with his girl. Every lady loves a who can satisfy her when her libido is high. An idle yahoo is always there to give her the s3x when she wants it.

4. Show Off : Ladies love to have a guy they can proudly introduce to their friends, a guy with the car and all the swag. They love to be tagged as the girl dating the big boy. With all the cars, gadgets a yahoo guy possesses, ladies want to hangout with them. Moving with friends in their fleet of cars (Probably Another Camry), you find a lady next to him in the front seat saying 'hi's' and 'hello' to any of her friends who crosses her path.

5. Believing There Is Room For Change : Ladies think they can convince a bad guy to change when they go into a relationship, even when clearly they are not Buhari. When ladies go into a relationship with a yahoo with the hope of changing him, they should also know they are trying to restrict their source of income in the process. When it becomes difficult for a lady to change a yahoo guy, they become stuck in the relationship.

Conclusion: Although the rate of fraudsters has dropped significantly in recent years, due to the strict punishment attached to internet fraud. Some guys still carefully carry out this illicit act. It's not advisable to date a fraudster, because often times even the benefactor becomes the accomplice.

Family / Re: Could My Wife Be Cheating? by Kennycool1: 7:37am On Jul 12, 2015
Hmmm, Broda!!!

I pity ur life for you ooo.

your wife started emotional minded game with you without thinking about the future of the kids

please, you have to give it whatever required by trying your best to solve the problem in your marriage, please act like a man and stop keeping things to urself several times.

sometimes women brain can be so dull like dummy without emotion feelings and i believe 1 day hot slap can wake it up for her, its not good enough to beat up ur wife, this slap doesn't mean't you beat her dude, because anytime she wake up from her slumber her brain would tell her that she is jokingly killing the future of the kids

Fair enough. I do not agree to couples playing with ring issue in marriage. If your wife had an issue with you to extent taking of his ring why didn't she speak up rather than resort to doing same.

But to be sincere broda, You took off your ring for a month, which also giver access but didn't she confronted you and ask you for reason you do such or are you also cheating on her, if yes bro u guys done enter 1 chance oooo....please husband should show good character to wife and children to made good family.

please amend your mistake and seat her down and talk to her senses, but if she prove and insisted on her decision to follow the EX or any other man again, abeg try ur best to let her know her problem and also let her know the consequences.

Nagging wife better than Cold cheating wife because 1day if your wife Ex enjoy your wife movement, ur life and living on earth may end to the war bros.
