Food / Re: Nigerian Man Refuses To Pay After His Date Ate N12k Food At Restaurant by Kennycool1: 9:24pm On Jun 12, 2023

ElBenny:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z40Mv1cBrSI
Drama ensued at a restaurant after a Nigerian lady ordered food which cost N12,000 while on a date with a guy.

The man who took her out refused to pay the bill and it led to an argument between the two of them as he stormed out of the establishment and tried to leave her behind.

She followed him to the car park and pleaded with him to settle the bill that her phone was dead if not she would have paid herself.

He, instead told her to drop her iPhone as payment for the phone and said that she was embarrassing herself

The man queried her for eating food of N12,000 and she said that she can even eat that of N50,000 and it is not a problem, as she would pay for it.

The young lady asked him not to blow the situation out of proportion, saying that she just needed to call someone and it will all be sorted out.

A waitress who attended to them in the restaurant could be seen standing behind the lady, waiting for the payment while the two continued the verbal exchange.

When the man insisted on not helping her to pay for the meal, the lady regretted and noted that she made a mistake by agreeing to go on a date with him.

how I become a Vehicle Diagnostic technician through nairaland
This a story to inspire others and believe in themselves.
I join nairaland in 2009 immediately after my NYSC.In 2010 i got a job with #30,000 salary i took up the job and i never for once leave nairaland homepage from my system.
i learn a lot through different sections and i learnt all these .web design, photography, mini importation
in 2011 i started visiting this section auto/car talks, topic and comments from these great men and video on youtube transform my life and make me to be away from job sites.
i started to read topic and comments from this section{Sienna,Ikenna,Egunmogaji,Nurey, kingreign, car doctor,Gazzuz, luvinhubby and many others} and i never regretted this.
Fast forward to 2014 i spoke with Electrician that use to repair my car that i want to know more about cars{he does not have a single scanner}
I spent 3months with him then I resign from my office job& i bought my first scanner launch creader v11,with passion and focus couple with reading of automotive ebooks and video from youtube change
my life,a year after i bought different kind of tools;Autoboss v30,X300pro3,X100 pro,Toyota Techstream,VAG,Delphi,mini zed bull,ONdemand5,Alldata E.t.c
I move to better apartment with my family, sold my old car and rebuild an abandon car as a project and now i drive the car.I do fix hydrid car also and i have done 5 toyota hybrids car without complain from my customer
my advice to young&old graduate of Engineering field if you don't have a good job or u are looking for a better things do,find your way to vehicle diagnosing and repairs

NIPOST and CUSTOMS, are 2 different thieves In Nigeria
anytime your item delayed, neither something has happen to it from there end and waiting for your call or any form of intervention to know if you can pay their charges or content inside the package change if you refuse to dance to the tunes of there charges.

I lost iPhone 7Plus to them, after the item were old for almost 1 week, later i got someone to call and he asked for 26k, i said i have only 15k to clear it, no concrete agreement for almost 2 days after 3rd i called again and i have update item forward to the main destination.

i went to my area post office for my iphone 7Plus and discover baby toy was replace in the content instead of phone

This country full of corrupted people in all government official offices

My advice to you all, if you can't get correct link, pls considered your item lost,

n3rve:
NIPOST and CUSTOMS need to improve their services. Parcels spend weeks at Customs, NIPOST's tracking service is barely functional. When the parcel is globetrotting, you get timely updates. As soon as it reaches Nigeria, the story changes and you almost get hypertension wondering what may have happened.

Sammybabs, Popson2001111, Hamzat10, Philloo3 - Did you eventually receive your items?

Phapi - Quick question, when items are shipped using USPS, is it NIPOST or their EMS division that coordinates final delivery here in Nigeria? And why did you pay as much as 80K to get your parcel(s)?
