President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that he will continue to work dedicatedly to achieve the objectives that the administration set out to achieve in 2015. The President said this Friday at State House Abuja, when he received in audience members of the Muhammadu Buhari and Osinbajo Dynamic Support Group, who came for the official presentation of their book titled – A Compendium of 5-Year Achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Administration from 2015 – 2020. “The MBO Dynamic Support Group Officers and team members saw the good in our Administration from the time we came in 2015. It is this commitment that led to the production of the book, and I sincerely hope and believe that Nigerians will always see and cherish positivity in all that this Administration has done as it continues to work assiduously to accomplish,” said the president. He commended the organisation for the support and the efforts to come up with the publication as it will serve as a documentation of some of the administration’s achievement: “The birth of this book from inception to production is due to the unrelenting efforts of the MBO Dynamic Support Group Officers and over two million group of supporters that have continuously stood by our Administration in our quest to deliver on our social contract to all Nigerians and ensure the dividends of democracy to our people. “I am extremely pleased with the production team and those who travelled across the country monitoring and collating data on our projects to enable us present an evidence based account of our stewardship.” President Buhari thanked them for braving all challenges, sacrificing time and resources to ensure that the project came to life: “Despite the global challenges of COVID-19 that impeded socio-economic activities of the world including our country Nigeria in 2020, you all worked tirelessly with limited resources and by tasking one another to produce this historic book. “We recognise and appreciate your drive, skills, creative abilities and your personal resources invested in this project and immense devotion to produce the book. “I thank you once again for your unwavering commitment to this Administration and legacy and look forward to the wide circulation of our achievements perfectly captured in this book to all citizens and those willing to see that we succeed to the end for the benefit of all. |

Accordingly, heavy reinforcement of security was quickly drafted to the scene of the incident. “Security started counting the money at about 2pm and they could not conclude till evening”, the source added. The late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Pastor Temitope Joshua may be buried on July 9, 2021 on the premises of his church in Lagos State. Joshua died last week in Lagos State at the age of 57. A member of the family, who spoke on condition of anonymity on Sunday, said the date was fixed after the immediate and extended members of the family of TB Joshua met at the residence of the deceased in Lagos State on Friday. The family decision is contrary to the expectation of the monarch of Arigidi Akoko, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, and some other traditional rulers in the Akoko area, who wanted the late pastor buried in his hometown, Arigidi Akoko. The traditional rulers were of the opinion that if the late cleric was taken to his hometown for burial, it would further give the town global recognition as the deceased’s worshippers all over the world would want to visit it to see his tomb and would also make the church to continue the project already embarked upon by the late founder. But the family member said the wife, Evelyn, and the children of the late cleric prevailed on the other family members over the burial place and date at the meeting. The source said the burial arrangement would take place between July 5 and July 9, 2021 He said, “The extended family members, his (Joshua) wife and children held a meeting on Friday and it was decided that he should be buried in Lagos and the burial programme will be between July 5 and 9. “It was on the insistence of the wife and the children that the other family members agree on the place of burial because they said they saw revelations that he should be buried in Lagos. Since they said it was spiritual, the family agreed with them.” However, one of the community leaders in Akokoland, Chief Ladi Bello, said since the decision had been taken on the burial arrangement of the deceased, the ongoing project left behind in Arigidi Akoko by the late pastor hould not be abandoned. “Now that the burial will take place in Lagos, his legacies must be sustained while his projects in Akokoland should not be abandoned,” Bello urged. Meanwhile, SCOAN did not hold any of its three services on Sunday as the church remained shut. Our correspondent who visited the church on Sunday, however, noted that the main gate remained open for pedestrians, church staff and visitors. Also, residents of the area said business had been poor since the demise of the cleric A resident, who gave his name as Kunle, added that they expected that it would get worse. “All hotels will really suffer. People who come from far and wide to visit the prophet lodge there, but things will not be the same again. ” |

The United States Government has kicked against President Muhammadu Buhari government’s decision to ban Twitter in the country. The US condemned the ban and described it as a poor message to citizens and investors. The US Mission in Nigeria in a statement on Saturday said the Nigerian constitution provides for freedom of information. Recall that the Nigerian Government, through the Ministry of Information and Culture had on Friday banned the social media platform indefinitely in the country. This happened a few days after Nigerians on Twitter had pleaded with the operators of the platform to suspend President Muhammadu Buhari over his war threat on people of the Southeast Region. UK states position on suspension of Twitter in Nigeria Twitter had in response, deleted the controversial tweet. The decision was said to have angered the government which in return banned Twitter. In a statement, the US Mission said, “Nigeria’s Constitution provides for freedom of Information. The Government’s recent #Twitterban undermines Nigerians’ ability to express this fundamental freedom and sends a poor message to its citizens, investors and businesses. “Banning social media and curbing every citizen’s ability to seek, receive, and impart information undermines fundamental freedom. “As President Biden has stated, our need for individual expression, open public conversation, and accountability has never been greater. The path to a more secure Nigeria lies in more, not less communication, alongside concerted efforts toward unity, peace, and prosperity. |
The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has ordered the immediate prosecution of offenders of the Federal Government ban on Twitter operations in Nigeria. Malami gave the directive in a statement issued by his spokesman, Umar Gwandu. Recall that after the ban slammed on Twitter by the federal government took effect on Saturday, Nigerians opted for Virtual Private Networks(VPN) in a bid to access the platform. A VPN is a key path for digital anonymity. However, Malami urged the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation, DPPF, at the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, to commence in earnest, the process of prosecution of violators of the Federal Government de-activation of operations of Twitter in Nigeria. “Mr Malami directed the DPPF to liaise with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, National Communication Commission, NCC, and other relevant government agencies to ensure the speedy prosecution of offenders without any further delay,” it added. |
Senator Dino Melaye, who represented the Kogi West Senatorial District during the 8th National Assembly has said Nigerians who remain alive after President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure, should be issued a certificate for survival. DAILY POST reports that the president has been under verbal attack since Tuesday over his comment threatening to deal with some elements in Southeast for allegedly attacking security operatives and government facilities in the region. Buhari, while receiving briefing from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Chairman on the recent destruction of the commission’s properties in the Southeast, said those behind the attacks would soon receive the shock of their lives. Insecurity: We didn’t vote Garba Shehu, Buhari should address Nigerians – Dino Melaye Many concerned Nigerians have reprimanded the president for allegedly threatening to launch ‘genocide’ attacks against the people of Southeast. Following the outrage by Nigerians who took to their social media handles to lambast the president over the alleged threat, Twitter deleted the president’s controversial tweet. In his own reaction, the former lawmaker, citing the numerous challenges currently bedeviling the entire nation, said Nigerians who survive the current administration should be greeted with “happy survival”. He made the remake on Wednesday via a post on his verified Facebook page. The post reads, “Wallahi truly speaking after Buhari’s 8 years’ reign of terror and deaths. Nigerians that are still alive deserve a National certificate of survival. “Greetings then will be Happy survival…..Aku great..Barka da survival….nde survival. SDM”. A chieftain of the Igbo socio-political
organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks
Ibegbu, has called on President
Muhammadu Buhari to engage Nnamdi
Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of
Biafra, IPOB, Islamic Movement in Nigeria,
IMN, and other agitators in a roundtable
discussion.
Ibegbu said Kanu would put an end to his
agitations if Buhari calls him to a father-
son discussion.
Speaking exclusively with DAILY POST, the
former Deputy National Publicity Secretary
of Ohanaeze said Buhari should extend the
same gesture to IMN and other agitators in
a bid to stop the push for secession.
According to Ibegbu: “Buhari does not
want to sit and talk to agitators. A good
leader will call those with grievances for
discussion. Instead of using the police and
army to fight your home citizens and
killing them, call them to a round table
discussion.
“Buhari should call Nnamdi Kanu saying
look “you are my son what is your
problem? Can’t we build a better Nigeria?
How do you want Biafra?’ Kanu will say,
“father, this is how I want Biafra’ and
Buhari will say no, let’s have a round table
discussion to solve this problem.’
“Let me tell you, if Buhari does this,
Nnamdi Kanu will see him as a father that
cares for his son and would stop all these
things. Then he will meet with El-Zakzaky’s
people, telling them, ‘I know you want an
Islamic state but it’s not possible in a
nation like Nigeria. However, you can have
your religious freedom, and I will release
your leader. You will see that El-Zakzaky
and his men will calm down.’
“Then Buhari will come to Boko Haram,
telling them ‘look, we can’t have an Islamic
state in amercenariesic group, I can give
you amnesty’.
“If they refuse and opt to continue
fighting, then he should invite mercinaries
to crush them.” |

Nigerians have blasted President
Muhammadu Buhari for ordering the
Nigerian flag to fly at half mast in all public
buildings and facilities in honour of Lt.
Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, the late Chief of
Army Staff, saying the flag is already blood-
stained.
Buhari also approved a work free day for
members of the Armed Forces on Monday
May 24.
DAILY POST recalls that Attahiru and others,
who lost their lives in the plane crash,
were buried on Saturday with President
Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo
absent.
He, however, sent delegates led by the
Chief of Defense Staff General Leo Irabor to
the burial.
Also in attendance were, Senate President,
Ahmad Lawan; SGF, Boss Mustapha, the
Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo
Amao; Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna
State and the Minister of Information and
Culture, Lai Mohammed, among others.
Reacting some Nigerians said the directive
to fly the National Flag at half- mast was an
afterthought and damage control due to
the criticism it received from Nigerians.
Others said the flag has been desecrated
after the #EndSARS shooting of peaceful
protesters at Lekki toll gate, Lagos State.
Here are some comments DAILY POST
gathered from Twitter. @Dee_Lordson007, ”Hoist flag to show what ? Isn’t that the same flag #EndSars protesters waved and hoist when the so call Nigerian Army went to kill them 20/10/2020? They were even singing the National Anthem. Have y’all agreed to the fact of that? Have y’all shown any remorseful act? I stopped believing in the Flag on 20/10/2020. Nigerians May forgive the Army but people like me won’t do that those that died died in the plane crash had families so does those that y’all shot during the protest. You can shut our mouth but not our brain and our heart.” @Banky__moon, ”President Buhari could not even come out on National TV to join the nation in mourning the lost of the COAS and his crew. Instead we had his aides talking and you wonder why Mazi Nnamdi Kanu keeps saying that Buhari is dead and that there’s an impostor at ASO ROCK. @Benwealth01, ”What is more honorable to do to a man that died in active service than attend his burial or declare holiday in his honor. Doing these because Nigerians have been calling you out is not the best, rather being proactive is the best not reactive, you could as well send VP.” @RSpotless1985, ”Effect of criticism on the President’s attitude towards the death of these Officers.” @Otagbuo_Orie, ”The flag has been desecrated after the #EndSARS shooting of protesters. It has lost honor. May you get the wisdom to honor your #COAS and his soldiers who lost their lives. Amin.” @Ahmad0048170681, ”Your attendance at their burial would have been more important than this useless directive.” @chriscve4ik, ”Damage control. The worst form of government is the one that works on impulse. This is the main reason everything has fallen apart in the land.” @Oviephilip01, ”He should have attended the burial of his General and not using this as a smoke screen. Highly disappointing, you the handlers are not helping him at all, tell him the truth!” @iamowokoko, ”After how many days in a working country the flag would have been flown at half immediately the news was confirmed but hey this is Nigeria where the commander in chief is an ordained ILLITERATE.” @MarammaAzil, ”The same people he failed to honour, the same people he failed to mourn with their families. At this point I will recite this nursery rhyme for him” shame, shame, shame, shame! It’s obvious Tom &Jerry get sense pass him.” @PDP_2023, ”You are just waking up? You are not doing it because you want to. You are doing it because Nigerians called you out. CLUELESS!” |

The federal government says 476 websites have been created to publish fake news about President Muhammadu Buhari and his government. Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, spoke on Monday in Abuja when he received officials of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). He regretted that the latest fake publication was on the Nigerian leader’s mental status. “Recently, we unveiled almost 476 publication sites that are dedicated to daily engaging in churning out fake news to fight the government.” Mohammed said the platforms claimed when Buhari was in the UK the last time, he was advised to step down because he could not recognise family members. The minister added that traducers know that people are gullible and will make the fake news go viral. He warned that unverified information was taking a new dimension and threatening the existence of the country. Mohammed urged the NIPR to play its role and actively participate in the fight against fake news. |

From www.sunnewsonline.com SpiritualDirector, Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka has publicly apologised to the Catholic Church and Bishop Callistus Onaga for the unruly behaviour of his adherents in Enugu following rumours of his ‘disappearance’. Members of the Adoration Ministry had marched around Enugu, last Wednesday, May 5, demanding the whereabouts of their pastor, Mbaka, who was feared to have been abducted. The protesters stormed the home of the Enugu Bishop where they destroyed property, having accused him of knowing what had happened to Mbaka. But, Mbaka, yesterday, sunday, went on his knees and apologised to Onaga, the Catholic church in Enugu and world-wide for all the damage his followers had done at the bishop’s house at Igbo Eze Street, Independence Layout Enugu, and Holy Ghost Cathedral, Ogui Enugu. The visibly remorseful priest rendered the apology in a church service at Adoration Ground, Umuchigbo in Enugu East Local Government Area. He explained that no one was sent to destroy property of the bishop and the church, while warning his followers to be faithful to the church at all times. He maintained that he neither had issues with Bishop Onaga nor the church, but alleged that some persons wanted to pit him against the church. He, however, declared that he would obey the church as a priest. “My bishop and I are not arguing, there is no dispute between us. A lot of people want to put conflict between us, but what’s inside of me won’t allow it to succeed,” Mbaka said. “I do not fight the Catholic Church. It cannot happen. All I have is the church. I have worked in the church for more than 25 years. Why should I start fighting it?” “I go on my knees and apologise to the Catholic Church for everything that happened. If I have said something wrong, please forgive me.” He further instructed his followers to join in the one week prayer and fasting ordered by the bishop to seek God’s forgiveness for the desecration of the holy altar at Holy Ghost Cathedral, Enugu. |
From www.dailypost.com.ng Charismatic Enugu priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has disclosed that the authorities of the Enugu Catholic Diocese were behind his two days ordeal. DAILY POST had reported that there was heavy protest in Enugu on Wednesday over the reported missing of the Catholic Cleric. Mbaka, who addressed his parishioners at the Adoration ground in Umuchigbo Nike, Enugu, said he was summoned by the Bishop from where he was kept incommunicado. He said the plan was to keep him for 30 days. He said a lot of issues were presented against him after which the Church leadership, led by Bishop Calistus Onaga told him that he would remain indoors for one month, a period that would allow him pray and meditate over his activities. The priest said he requested to be allowed the opportunity to come and address his parishioners after which he would shut down, “but they said No. Allow me to and celebrate mass for my people just for today, I won’t even tell them that I am being punished, they said, No. I will just tell my members that I’m going for 30 days prayer, that after 30 days, we will come back and everybody will obey, they said, No. “I also begged them to appoint another priest to come and celebrate mass for you today, they also said No. “They didn’t treat me in a pastoral way. I was asking ‘am I being punished for what’? “They said it was a meeting, but even before I reached the Bishop’s house, conclusion has already been made. What happened to me was like the day I was shot on the road. “Unfortunately for them, even before the meeting, a woman was already going around bragging that the Bishop will call me for a meeting, and that I was going to leave my house here for 30 days, and that after the 30 days, I would be sent to Rome, and Adoration ministry will be closed. Mbaka cautioned that “in a time and cases like this, don’t give me a punishment that will cause troubles for us because I’m not alone.” He said Bishop Onaga upon seeing the protest over his predicament, allowed him to go. Mbaka said one of things presented against him was that he blessed Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as well as his recent criticism of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s Government. “Are you the owner of my mouth? You can’t tell me who to bless? If you are not happy that I blessed someone, you have your own mouth, you can curse the person. “I cannot hate my brother because of some people who hatred is in their genes,” he declared. |

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, OYC, on Wednesday raised the alarm over the whereabouts of the fiery Enugu priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka. The cleric of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, has been in the news after he asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign. This was followed by a revelation by the presidency that he was attacking Buhari because he was refused a contract. Ohanaeze Youth Council has now claimed that the priest was missing. In a statement issued by the President-General of OYC, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, he said Mbaka was last seen on Tuesday, adding that every effort to trace him had failed. “We have it on good authority that his aides have neither seen nor heard from him since Tuesday. “Calls put to his mobile line have also remained unanswered; this has now prompted us to issue this alarm as we would not take it lightly should anything untoward happens to him. “We are giving the Federal Government 48 hours to produce the priest, else they should be ready to face Igbo youths. They were dining and wining with him all along and now that he told the truth, they are no longer comfortable with him. “Let nothing happen to Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka. It will not be in anybody’s interest,” the group warned. Meanwhile, DAILY POST reached out to close aides of the Catholic Cleric, but they declined comment, noting that the picture was not clear yet. “Today is the Wednesday programme, ‘E no dey again’, if he doesn’t officiate, it will then be clear that something is wrong,” one of them said. |

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, located in Enugu, has told Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari to apologise to him. Mbaka also warned Garba Shehu to trade with caution, adding that the President’s mouthpiece can also be killed by rampaging bandits. Father Mbaka made the demand following Shehu’s recent claims that the clergyman came to Buhari begging for contracts and was disappointed. Recall that Mbaka had last week asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign forthwith or be impeachedby the House of Representatives. Angered by the cleric’s outburst, the Presidency, through Mr. Shehu had accused the priestof making the call now because he was denied a contract by Buhari. Mbaka has now described Shehu’s claims as laughable, saying, “Garba Shehu that is talking, the bandits can kill him too. No amount of security can save them if things get worse. “They have shown they don’t have reward mechanism. Shehu should be apologising to me. “They are busy branding communities and states terrorists. If Kaduna, Benue, and other places are branded terrorist states, will Nigeria not be branded a terrorist country?” |

Despite being the gateway to the North- East region which has witnessed insurgency for over a decade now, leading to the death of over 200,000 people and about two million citizens displaced, particularly in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa states, Bauchi State as of today enjoys relative peace, though the state also battles with its own form of insecurity, which, however, does not lead to extreme fear as experienced in other states. Apart from a few pockets of Boko Haram attacks in the past, Bauchi has remained peaceful despite sharing its borders with Kaduna and Kano in the North West where banditry has taken deep roots, as well as Plateau State, where Fulani herders and farmers clash almost on a daily basis. Multiple security sources confirmed to DAILY POST that despite its relative peace, some disgruntled elements still give security agencies some cause for concern in the state, saying, however, that for now, efforts are being geared towards tackling this with a view to sustaining the peace in the state. One of the sources confided in DAILY POST that security operatives are working round the clock with a view to ensuring that bandits do not infiltrate the state in their numbers, especially with the heat being turned on them in North-West. According to the source, there are some pockets of bandits’ activities, including cattle rustling, being witnessed in some places, including in Burra forest, Gwaram, Toro and Alkaleri areas of the state, but they are being tackled head long by security agencies. Recently, the state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Sylvester Alabi, while briefing the press on efforts being made to combat crimes and criminality in the state, informed that the state police command arrested some cattle rustlers, armed robbers, kidnappers and bandits terrorizing parts of the state and recovered some items, including arms and ammunitions from the criminal elements. According to CP Alabi, a kidnap suspect who ran from Safana, Katsina State was arrested in Narbodo in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State where he ran to, after committing kidnapping, adding that a notorious cattle rustler in Safana LGA of Katsina State was also arrested in Guggu forest where he was taking refuge. He informed that joint task force operatives collaborating with a vigilante group, Danga Security personnel while on patrol along Riga forest base 1 at Duguri Gwana area of Alkaleri Local Government Area (LGA), ran into an assembly of some dangerously armed bandits and kidnappers, notoriously known for terrorizing the Duguri area. “This encounter resulted in a heavy gun battle between our men and the criminals which led to the killing of two of the unknown armed bandits, while others escaped with bullet wounds,” the police boss had said, adding that an AK-47 rifle with breach No.357843, a locally made single barrel gun, sixteen (16) live ammunition of 7.62mm calibre, two cutlasses and a knife, large number of bows and arrows were parts of the exhibits recovered from the scene. An operative of the Department of State Services (DSS), who pleaded to remain anonymous as he is not authorized to speak to the press, informed DAILY POST that despite the fact that Bauchi State is not experiencing any activities of Boko Haram, as being witnessed in other parts of the North-East, security personnel were not resting on their oars in order to secure lives and property of the people of the state. According to him, “we are working round the clock to tame kidnapping, banditry and cattle rustling here before they become a big monster in the state. Fortunately for us – security agencies, the state government has been supporting us in no small measure to aid our jobs.” Speaking on the security situation in the state, a retired Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officer, Air Commodore Ahmed Tijjani Baba Gamawa (rtd), in an interview with DAILY POST expressed happiness that Bauchi State is peaceful despite being in the North-East, submitting that, “in Bauchi, we are very lucky; lucky in the sense that in the whole of North-East region, it is only Bauchi that is peaceful. If you see what is happening in Maiduguri, what is happening in Yobe, what is happening in Gombe, Taraba and Adamawa, you will see that those of us in Bauchi are very lucky.” He attributed what he termed the proactive action of the state governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, being responsible for the peace being enjoyed in the state. “He (Governor Mohammed) is always in contact with security agencies, giving them all the help they need. If you remember, about three days ago, the governor gave about 50 vehicles to security agencies to enhance the security situation in the State. Bauchi is a free zone when it comes to security issue,” he said. The retired NAF personnel informed that despite some bandits’ activities in some part of the state, the synergy among security agencies in the state had immensely helped in tackling the menace, adding that security agencies were on top of the situation in the state. “They are always working day and night. Because of their commitment, dedication and loyalty, the governor is very impressed. He has to give them vehicles with gadgets and everything so that it would assist them for the work they are doing. As a result of that, there is that kind of cooperation between them and they have very good information gathering, which is very important to fight insurgency and banditry. So in Bauchi, we are very lucky. We work as a team, as a family. As a result of that, Bauchi State has a very good security network.” A civil servant working with the Federal Government in the state, who simply identified himself as Abubakar, while commending efforts being made by the government in ensuring Bauchi State remains peaceful, called for more efforts and vigilance, particularly on the part of residents of the state, noting that, “while the state government is making efforts to sustain peace in the state, the people also have a role to play. We have to supply useful information to security agencies for them to take prompt and timely actions to prevent security breach.” ”As a result of its peaceful nature, there have been the influx of people from the North-West and neighbouring North-East states into Bauchi State. This is with its attendant negative impact on the State with Governor Mohammed recently lamenting that the influx of people from neighbouring states into the state from states has overstretched the state’s infrastructures. He, however, said despite this, his administration could not afford to compromise the security of lives and property of the people of the state. “Our population has risen from the official record of 6.5 million to about 10 million in Bauchi, thereby, overstretching our services and infrastructures. “We have the highest number of out-of- school children, therefore, there is unemployment, youth restiveness and of course, there are infrastructure and service gaps in health, in education and even in our transportation and the rest. There is high expectation from the polity, thereby overstretching our security agencies,” he said.

From www.dailypost.com.ng Catholic Priest and Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Fr Ejike Mbaka, has warned President Muhammadu Buhari of an impending disaster. Mbaka who spoke at the Adoration Ministry in Enugu State on Wednesday noted that Buhari has refused to label killer herdsmen as ‘terrorists’ while his government is busy killing innocent Nigerians in the country. According to him, until the Buhari-led government finds something for the youths, they are going to face disaster. ”Overseas have become dumping grounds for our Nigerian youths. Lawyers and doctors are fleeing the country to countries we are better off. Disaster is coming. Until the government of the country finds something for our youth, they are going to face disaster. ”A time is coming when if you are asked to be a Senator, House of Representative member or Governor, you will run. This is because we cannot continue like this. The leaders have suffered the youths and it’s time for the civilians to suffer the leaders. ”Enough of this rubbish. The reason you come here for prayers are what the government should supply. One cup of rice or pot of soup, house rent and importation into the country have doubled. ”International communities cannot come and invest in Nigeria any more. Are we living or dying? How can someone become a billionaire from what belongs to all of us and those who have the money are begging? Many mothers cannot change pampers for their children. Our young ladies are thinking of going into prostitution, young men have nothing doing.” The Cleric maintained that the deplorable state of the nation has led to cultism and idolatry. He also warned leaders of the country to release money they are keeping for the 2023 election. ”Young men now visit native doctors to prepare charm. The job of the government now is to kill people and call them terrorists instead of giving them jobs. They said people should farm and now after farming, herdsmen will go and eat the crops and they will not be branded terrorists. ”Last week, it was jailbreak, we never heard of such things that are happening now. If the government does not sit up and bring the money they are hiding for 2023, that 2023 will not come. ”It will be a story of tragedy. Nobody is safe in this country. Everywhere they are killing people. Only God is protecting us. What will it take to fix power? We have millions of graduates doing nothing and the leaders are not ashamed. Why should parents feed their children after training them? You wonder why our parents don’t live long? Teachers are not well paid, policemen are not being taken care of. If they are killed on duty, no one takes care of their family, what kind of country is this?” he lamented. |

From www.dailypost.com.ng Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom says the incessant killings in the state means that Nigeria does not have a government. He lamented that over 70 people have been murdered in two weeks in Makurdi Local Government Area. Ortom spoke to protesters on Tuesday at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Abagena village. Suspected herdsmen, Monday night, killed citizens and wounded many others. “What is happening now, to me, is very clear; Mr President is just working for these Fulanis to take over the whole country.” He said Buhari’s body language is what is being played out and that the action and inaction of Mr President “shows that he is only the President of Fulani people”. Ortom decried that attackers regularly send indigenes away from their homes, yet go to kill them where they take refuge. Ortom called them “Fulani herdsmen”, stressing that “They are not bandits. They are Fulanis. We saw and heard them speak the language.” The Benue helmsman stated that the federal authorities have been dragging foot on the matter. “If the federal government had taken a proactive step, we will not be where we are. In the last two weeks, over 70 persons have been killed just in Makurdi Local Government Area alone.” Noting that the situation is not acceptable, Ortom said similar killings were going on in Guma and Gwer-West. Ortom recalled he alerted Nigerians when Fulanis from 14 countries met in Yola, the Adamawa State capital. He said they declared that except the prohibition of open grazing law was reviewed, “Benue will not know peace.” The governor wondered why the federal government was yet to arrest the leaders of Miyetti Allah that hosted the meeting. “It means we don’t have a government”, he declared. “Mr President must do the needful and I want to suggest that immediately, let there be a security summit. I am aware that the situation is prevalent in other parts of the country.” On Monday, the police command in Benue State also confirmed the kidnap of three studentsof the Federal University of Agriculture in Makurdi. |
