@Sandra I will not advic u to go wit d account u printed abt 5-6month ago.. if ur Dad is in Nigeria, he can still get it across 2 u, but if he is outside d country it might be alittle difficult

Join the two bank statements together. In as much as your source of funds on your I-20 is family funds, then father and mother are cool to the your sponsors. So take both statements of account to the embassy. Period!

Seems u did not get her question, her Dad is not around. So she can't get her Dad SOA. And her mum sOA is not up to $37,000

1. Yes u can print it later and wen she as paid d sevis fee u checking ur status, it gonna change in d next 3days. Then u print d receipt

2. If d VO ask u tell him d date on ur WAEC or NECO result not d date u gonna put on d graduation gown. All d best.

Ahhhhhhh.... That's were d problem comes from. The money is just too low, 2M can't pay ur tuition fee alone not to talk of Living expenses.

My advice is u try and build ur bank statement let der be a reasonable amount. Btw 6-7M depending on ur tuition. Let the money be more than wat was in ur I-20. Make sure d money der can pay for ur tuition and living expenses for a year

The name of my school is Texas southern university(Tsu) and I had 2million on the bank statement. I was also askd for the kinda job my mum does and I said catering and hotel management.

If u Dad is sponsoring u, d SOA as to been in his name. Der is no time to start explaining to d VO. Der decisions are make within few seconds most especially if u meet a VO that doesn't have patients. You need to be careful, don't give any benefit of doubt.

As for me am not satisfy wit u reason. Maybe oda guru in d house can contribute and give u an advice

So how do u defend it when the VO ask who is sponsoring u and ur respond was ur Dad, he/she requested for ur SOA and saw ur name written on it.

My advice is that u transfer d money to ur Dad account and if that cant be done then u tell the VO u are sponsoring urself. But make sure ur working length, place of work and working experience is very very strong. Like ur av been working for yearsssss... Cos 4 u to av dat kind of money in ur account. U really need 2 defend it

From analysis of your interview, the VO was interested in SAT, not really TOEFL. And as an engineering student, taking SAT is more important than TOEFL or IELTS, like GRE over TOEFL. And she denied you a visa because of this. It's quite pitiful. For me, you did very well.

So, what you should do is get the SAT and replace your present school to University of Maryland. [i][/i]Next VO comes, look at your previous data and compare with your newest and stronger data and nods his or her head and approve your visa without so much stress.

Aside that, then, your dad might have travelled out of Nigeria as an importer. When someone is an importer, one thing that comes to people's mind is, he is a traveller

Nobody would believe you as an importer, if you haven't travelled out of your country. Example,

VO: Which state are you heading to in the United States?
Hustler: Texas.
VO: Where exactly in Texas?
Hustler: Austin.
VO: Ok. So, what do you do for a living?
Hustler: I'm an Importer.
VO: Have you travelled out of Nigeria before?
Hustler: No.
VO: Sorry, you're not qualified for this visa now but can reapply.

He comes here and complain that the VO did not look at his documents.

In a nutshell, with steadyfast and hardwork, I am pretty sure you'll make it.

It not adviceable to change school. He can still go for the same school
