freeR1: I am not sure, you will have to apply to see if medical exam will be requested. The requirement for medics is "if you have stayed in a designated country like Nigeria in the last 6 months i guess. However if requested, it is not a big deal, you will have to go to a uscis accredited doctor, I guess. It will cost you about $300 or more depending of the tests you doing. Thanks for the good info. God bless u. |

freeR1: You don't need medical if you have been in US for 1 year. Apply online, submit a scan copy of your F1 visa, I20 and transcript. You will get a biometric email in 24hrs or less. Take that to any USCIS office close to you, make sure you go with your passport. Then wait for your passport request letter. You should get that in 1 week, 2 weeks max. Send your passport using usps to the new York or California vac. Make sure you include a paid usps return envelope and $32 or so vac fee. Use money order for the fee, they won't accept personal checks. You can get MO at any Walmart. Thanks alot God bless bro. Have not spend upto a year in US does that mean i will have to do medicals? |

thesoj: You are a student in the United States, therefore you have nonstop access to superfast internet which you should use to browse the CIC website to straightforwardly answer the questions you asked.
Most people on this thread live in Nigeria, and the visa requirements and processing logistics would be somewhat different from what you need. I would recommend that you make acquaintance with Google. you don't have to quote me If you don't have an answer or if you felt my question is not reasonable to you then pretend as if u did not see it and pass by. |

phalanah: Hi all,
I was denied student visa in August 2015 with a community college I-20. The school deferred my admission to Spring 2016 and issued a new I-20. However, one of the universities I applied to previously received my SAT late and are currently processing my application for Spring 2016 (they said decision w/in 2 weeks).
I want to schedule my visa interview now because the interview dates are filling up quickly (earliest available date Oct 26th). My question is can I go ahead and schedule my visa interview using the community college for now and change it to the 4-year university when I receive their admission decision? I have filled my DS-I60 but I haven't submitted yet...again because I am waiting for 4-year university decision.
You thoughts and advice are appreciated. Thanks as always....I pray God will grant us all our heart desires. I will advice you to wait for the university I-20 you still have alot of time, dont be in rush. wishing u all d best |

slimmy05: It is fraudulent and criminal which could lead to deportation- Walspring. Obtaining visa for the sole aim of eloping is fraudulent and abuse of entry visa. Imagine I send a message to DHS alerting them that someone like him is threatening people online. All I need do is furnish them with his address and phone number. He would be tracked down and deported. I'm not saying I will do this, just clearing the air. We've had friends report friends and they end up deported.
Out of status or not, keep your dealings to yourself. It doesn't mean you can't make a good life, yes you can. But thread carefully, don't be too desperate.
Abuse of visa is fraudulent and criminal. Think well before you plan any trip abroad. It's not all rosy here and there is nothing like my family. It's all man for himself. In other words come with your MONEY. @bolded Plenty money. lol |
