Politics › Re: The Official Fuel Price At Total Filling Station Today 12 May, 2016 Photo by kenobi007(m): 12:29pm On May 12, 2016 |
Wait . let's get something clear. Is this new benchmark as a result of subsidy removal (cuz I didn't see were it was stated ) or as a result of impotertes sourcing for forex from secondary alternatives. Cuz if its because of the latter and fuel price is 145. When dey remove the subsidy it will become only God knows. |
Politics › Re: NNPC To Sell Fuel Below N145, PPPRA Releases Official statement by kenobi007(m): 11:32pm On May 11, 2016 |
Quakertellicus1: First...it isn't the government importing fuel...it is the marketers...the govt gives them dollars at the offical rate to import.(though with falling revenue from oil exports that source is restricted...and marketers have to go parallel).
Second....removing the subsidy might lead to savings to build refineries.
But if you ask me.,.....it is the private investors where it is at.
One more thing....refineries are not built in a year. Even after contracts are awarded...you have to do EIA, pay claims, train staff...etc. And all that takes time. I have just one question. How sure are we that the subsidy money will be utilized properly. Hope we won't hear another story similar to dasuki gate with our subsidy money. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Dangote Refinery Test Invitation by kenobi007(m): 8:58am On May 11, 2016 |
Tinkel: I applied for executive trainee (under electrical engineer) at dangote oil refinery company limited last year august(batch A). I went through all the five stages of the recruitment process ranging from aplitude test, group discussion, panel interview, psychometric test and medical test and by the grace of God I was able to scale through all this stages. Finally I was called to resume for the job this year, presently we are undergoing training in oil refinery operations outside the country. My advice is that we don't need to get too anxious about this job, what I feel is the Success tips for the recruitment process of dangote oil refinery company are: 1. Group discussion, topics will range from Infrastructural development to health sector, oil Prices etc) during this interview, candidates must be calm, undominering, attentive, giving intelligent contribution). 2. Panel interview(ie one on one interview), if you are invited for this 3rd stage, make sure that you have a clear understanding of the basic concept of your discipline, the secret here is that your cv will play an important role here and it will determine the kind of questions that they will ask you, so make sure you are able to convinced your panelist of your past job experience relevant to your discipline, because most questions asked are very technical and it is discipline based. Be calm and also be confident of what ever you are saying. 3. Psychometric test, at this stage you will be given seven different questions papers to answer for a time duration of two hours, this test is know your personality and behavior under working conditions. 4. Medical test Nice one bro. Congrats. Just want to ask you how long it took from after the last test till they finally called you to resume. Cus I applied for non technical position and I've done both the test, group discussion and the interview. (Interviewed by Indians) this took place on the 21-22 April 2016. But I'm yet to receive feedback from them. Though no one in my group has . so I want to know how the recruitment process takes. |

germyu: I am a software developer, I create amazing things for companies; I have a good portfolio of projects I have developed, my applications are used my hundreds of thousand of Nigerians. I prefer to keep a low profile and my identity hidden. I'm presently working for a start-up company that has a very huge prospect. This is my Six(6) months of employment and I developed an amazing web portal for the company in the said time. Truth of the matter, no one believed the web portal was ever done in Nigeria because businessmen/employer in the business or domain underestimate local talents; their believe so much in Indian/US software developers. I stopped the company from paying $68,000 to software development company in India. The web portal is now LIVE. and we're having huge traffic and good remark about the website. My CHALLENGE My currently earning about N200K monthly, and our competitor is offering me a N350K monthly. My boss found out about the offer and call me to a man-to-man private meeting and offer me a N50K salary increment, housing allowance of N500K yearly and 2Week vacation to Dubai.
I presently work in Abuja, while the offer is in Lagos. I love Abuja, but I have feelings for the N350K offer. Am afraid of moving to Lagos due to family problems, however it can be prevented If i stay away. Also am still an undergraduate, although I can transfer my study centre to Lagos.
PLS ADVICE Should I stay with my current employer or move with the new offer?
Pls ignore my typos. Thanks. words of wisdom, stay with ur current employer. Show him whr ur loyalty lies. I believe u are still young. Money isnt everything. You will understand this when u start to grow ur career. I believe ur worth is now known to them. U have a higher chance to grow in ur current job. |

Timolanki: I was overwhelmed when i was handed my licence and certificate after my oath taking n convocation respectively. The next thing that crossed my mind was to go and protect it with a permanent, termite resistant lamination only for my happiness to b ruined at home. My cousin on seeing my laminated cert n licence told me that i ve rendered them useless that employees no longer accept laminated cert. I asked why n he said that fake cert are concealed by lamination as d genuiness can't b detected with a computer. I asked other people n they confirmed it. So if ur planning 2 laminate ur cert ask questions b4 dat. HOW TRUE IS THIS NAIRALANDERS COS I FEEL AWFUL NOW? guy if a reputable employing firm wants to find out the genuity of ur cert they will run a background check on u. If found to be a fraud then u hv commited a criminal offence. So i see no harm in laminating ur certificates. |
