BusinessRe: Exportation Business Is Not As Hard As People Feel.... by kenraj(m): 7:16pm On Dec 05, 2013
Considering the cheapest means of conveying your exports, nipost is the cheapest. EMS services also works faster than Nipost but cargo (via-airlines) is the costliest and the most expensive (though the fastest-bare 48-72 hour depending on destination). The hiccups in all means depends on the recipient's country,as in the maximum weight which can be received @ a go and also their charges also. But I feel they are cheap compared to some countries like Russia which is quiet strenuous and expensive. Just be positive on your business and you sure will smile you gave it a trial.

@Lizu....

I asked earlier what the requirements are for UPS to send my stuff to Russia if it's gonna be 100kg upwards and I don't mind if it's gonna be splited. And things I send range from cosmetics, hair extensions, foodstuff like ogbono, plantain, yam, egusi, garri, palm oil etc, beverages and the likes. I'll really appreciate to know how I can go about it!

Thanks in antticipation!

360command: look no further as your items can be sent to you through UPS delivery. They help small scale business or entrepreneurs export commodities. Tell me what do you actually send (what product)?
It ranges from foodstuff, cosmetics, hair extensions, beverages, etc..

Where do I start from and what are the requirements from UPS cos I always have stuff sent from 100kg upward and if they need to be split I don't mind!

@OP... This is a very good and enlightening topic you have brought up. I basically deal in this topic but mine is different in this way. I study in Russia and I bring my stuff personally to Russia and I sell. This is what I've lived on ever since I came to Russi and I say glory to God today. Buh really it's a very hectic dealing for me cos Russia is not very encouraging. I started by sending my stuff through Post office and it got to a point that it's either I don't receive my goods or they get them returned which I think they have seen the goods as commercial good instead of for personal usage which I always declare and henceforth, i've been shuttling between Nigeria ever since then bringing my stuff myself or where I have to send someone to?9ja 2 bring my stuff when am tied with school stuff and this is quiet expensive for me. I've looked for means to send in very large bulk which is never enterprising as Russia organisation's in terms of courier services and shipping have hindered either by charging large amount of money or demanding some kinda rubbish like been uin a possession of a Russian passport thereby making you pay tax on commercial activities.
Do you have any link to sending stuff to Russia?

TV/MoviesRe: Controversial Boko Haram Movie Debuts! by kenraj(m): 5:04pm On Oct 10, 2013
Fadelex: good move by Ghana censors board. the director/producer of the movie are very insensitive. you can't do a movie about a problem while d problem remains unsolved. "zero dark thirty" was only released after osama's death. and what do they know about boko haram that they are writing film about dem. this is y nollywood will continue to lag behind in terms of storyline. b4 u can produce a movie like dis, u need input of JTF, people that has virtually all info about dis terrorists. I hope d film will not see d light of d day in Nigeria. senseless producers that are only concerned about their pockets and not about d qualities of their produce
The film producer is Ghanaian and not a Nigerian for your info!
EntertainmentAmerican Stowaway:9-year-old Boy Sneaks On Flight From Minneapolis To Las Vegas by kenraj(op): 9:56am On Oct 10, 2013
Its not only in Nigeria that stowing away happens, it happened also in far away USA. Read on:

A 9-year-old boy slipped through security at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport and flew on a Delta Air Lines plane to Las Vegas without a boarding pass, authorities said on Sunday.
It was not immediately clear why the child sneaked onto a Delta Air Lines flight on Thursday, raising questions about airport and airline security.
“The story has a good ending because at least the flight crew took the appropriate actions and the child was returned safely,” said Pat Hogan, a Minneapolis airport spokesman. “Obviously the concern is how the child was able to go through the security screening process and board an airplane in the first place.”
The boy was screened at one of the airport’s checkpoints shortly after 10:30 a.m. CDT on Thursday and got on the Delta Air Lines flight to Las Vegas 11:15 a.m. CDT.
Crew members became suspicious of him during the flight and contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Hogan said. Officers took him into custody when the plane landed.
Neither the Transportation Security Administration nor Delta would comment beyond saying that the matter was under investigation. Delta spokeswoman Leslie Scott would not say why the crew became uneasy about the boy.

Security video shows the boy was at the airport on Wednesday as well, Hogan said.
The child, who is from Minneapolis, arrived on the light rail train that runs from the city’s downtown, took a bag from a luggage carousel, and brought it to a restaurant in the area before the security checkpoints.
“He ordered lunch and ate it and then he told the wait staff that he had to use the restroom,” Hogan said. “So he left the bag there, left the restaurant and never came back to pay.”
The bag was returned to its owner.
Hogan said that he believed the child was home in Minneapolis with his family.
“It’s really unclear why he was going to Las Vegas,” he said.

TravelRe: "I Will Tear And Burn My Nigerian Passport, Once I Become Canadian" - Nigerian by kenraj(m): 9:44am On Aug 25, 2013
pharmow: clear throat........ Let truth be told, the attitude Nigeria Embassy workers in Ottawa Canada were very unprofessional and annoying. A friend of my needed his driver's abstract to process Canadian driver license, U wont believe for more than 2 months these people haven't responded. This kinna of story is what you hear when you have anything to do with the Nigerian embassy.

For the lady that said she will tear and burn her passport, I think it is very naive of her to have said that on National TV. Beside, London Ontario to Ottawa is not as far as the dude that came all the way from Calgary.
Am not saying she's right with her judgement of tearing and burning her passport but u don't av 2 compare distance as to who came from where to where cos u won't ever understand what it means to loose your time and even if its a dollar as a result of incompetences on the part of people we call our representatives in d diaspora.... Imagine the rubbish.

RomanceRe: Can Cheating Ever Be Acceptable? by kenraj(m): 6:47pm On Jun 24, 2013
Stegomiah: I share my own views in saying that cheating is a destructive beast. It ruins bonds, friendships, romantic relationships, trust and any shred of honesty that built the foundation of your relationship. No matter what the scenario, at least one individual involved in an instance of cheating ends up distraught from the course of events that follow. If you’re the partner at fault and any bit human, you have a guilty conscience that’s bound to take you down a rough road. On the other hand, if you’re the victim in the situation, you’ll be feeling the unwanted burden of heartache and utter disappointment.

But there are opposing beliefs that suggest cheating may be beneficial to relationships. Some say cheating can help in developing more love-making positions thereby re-igniting one's L♥√ع life, while some believes it is wat some peoples relationship needs to move ahead... So i just want to know if there are situations where cheating can ever be acceptable and how![/font]

I don't wanna know where its coming from and from whom... The fact remains that "MEMORY" is a bitch.. The more you remember what transpired to cheating, the more you have a heart skip...

But then its still the truth that it strengthens the bond and re-ignites the romance in the relationship..

Family4 Nigerians Sentenced To Life In Prison For Murder by kenraj(op): 10:55pm On Apr 29, 2013
4 NIGERIANS SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR MURDER

The case of a very sad murder that took place months ago at Victoria Station in London is now over with 4 Nigerian teenagers sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Sofyen Belamouadden.

According to the The Daily Mail UK, a 15 year old boy was hacked to death by a twenty man gang in London. All members of the Gang have been arrested and charged.

Sofyen Belamouadden had his life cut short at Victoria station in central London when he was chased and killed by the gang over youths.

20 teenagers were charged in connection with the attack, but three were cleared. Fifteen others have already been jailed for a total of 129 years.

Obi Nwokeh, 20, Christopher Omoregrie and Samson Odegbune, both 19, were given life sentences for murder last April with minimum terms of 18 years.

Victoria Osoteku, 20, the only female to be charged, was jailed for 12 years for manslaughter, along with three other youths.

This evil Oseteku was seen on CCTV kicking Sofyen in the head as he lay dying on the ground after the 12-second attack and also helped with buying the knives that were used in the fatal assault.

Sofyen was stabbed nine times in the body and suffered wounds to his heart, a lung and major blood vessels.
The victim had dreamed of playing football for England and his death has left his family devastated.

The attack was the horrific end of a minor confrontation the day before in the fast-food area of Victoria mainline station between pupils from the two schools, in which a youth received a bloodied nose.

Messages were sent by phone and on Facebook arranging the clash.

Sofyen died after being chased by about 20 pupils across the Terminus Way concourse and into the Underground station.
A youth led the charge with a Samurai sword. Others were armed with a flick knife and a Swiss army knife, machetes and screwdrivers. Sofyen fell down the stairs into the ticket hall and was attacked on the ground by a smaller group .
