Asunke001:Asunke, Jambo Your questions will be answered to the best of my abilities. Let me give you a small preview of what Kenya and Nairobi entails Since you suggested that your husband works in an international NGO then most probably it must be the UN. The UN headquarters here is based in the leafy suburbs of Nairobi, Gigiri. The area surrounding Gigiri is the most secure in terms of security since it is home to several embassies and multinational companies. The best housing is also found in this area and its proximity to the upper side nearest to Westlands shopping center. It is also home to the second biggest mall in Africa, Two rivers mall. Its also close to Saint mary's school or Brook house school which are international schools. It also has more higher learning international institutions or Universities. The social life of Nairobi is vibrant and lively ranging from carnivals, festivals and the only city with a national park within it... Nairobi has the biggest international airport in East and central Africa with direct flights to major international destinations. Transport within Nairobi and other major cities can either be with flight, roads or the new Standard gauge railway. Holiday destinations are within driving distance either in the best beaches in Africa in Mombasa city the second biggest after Nairobi. Kisumu city which has the biggest lake in Africa Lake victoria and also the third biggest town after Mombasa. Nakuru town which is 2hrs drive from Nairobi which consists of the world famous flamingos Lake Nakuru national park.

diablos:Typical Nigerian hoodrat, loud, diabolical and insecure paranoid individual whose only evidence of passing through school was when he was basically using the school latrine. |
gallivant:Was wondering the same.... isnt that the old meter gauge railway being displayed as on of the "projects" on "top gear". ![]() |
naijalander:Havent you realised that Kenyan projects end up better than the 3D effects...... thought you should know!!!! ![]() |
EricBloodAxe:Its the Nigerians trolling the thread with obscene images that just reiterates our alien belief that Nigeria still has a long way to go. South africa is light years ahead of you guys with Kenya right on track to capture the limelight. Ghana is also another promising west African country with too much potential. |
MPSA:Hehehe..... They are enemies of progress, furthermore when they see it being an African country their jealousy decibels triple. I think it's mainly due to their misguided belief that since Nigeria is a failed state then nobody else can succeed. The mistakenly assume any country without oil as its resource avenue & dependency cannot prosper. |
Kenya-KISUMU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
|
KENYA-JOMO KENYATTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.... Biggest in East & Central Africa The new Terminal 1A
|
mkenya254:Its only a moment before the Naija keyboard warriors start telling us of how they were the first country in Africa to launch a "satellite" to space putting in mind that it got lost or crashed somewhere in the ocean. I would have really appreciated if they told us what they are doing currently, not what they did in the 1960's. Even a prostitute was once a virgin so it doesn't matter if you were the first, what matters is if you are fast in innovating new infrastructural ideas in your social-economic growth of your country. The ultra modern Kenyan train terminals complete with escalators & lifts....

Kenya

Meanwhile Kenya's new transit train terminals are right on schedule.

uzzyfire:Hahahaha.... Maybe if you tell me!!! All we know is that Nigerians are plain criminals invading other countrie with drugs, 419 scams and leeching on other countries system. |
uzzyfire:Hahahahahahahahaaaa!!! OK.... ID10T!!! |
uzzyfire:YES!!!! Nigeria is a failed state, shambolic and disaster. A model example on how not to have a country. Similarity of Nigeria, Yemen and Syria which are failed states -Terrorism(Boko haram Nigeria and Isis in Syria) -Illegal immigration of the citizens to other countries (Nigerians crossing through Libya and refugees from Syria) -Fulani herdsmen attack -Corruption despite biggest oil reserves -Epileptic power supply etc -Failing monetary value, weak Naira uzzyfire:True!!! You have the biggest economy than Austria, Norway, Ireland, Singapore, Finland and Portugal. But can you like seriously compare your social, economic and political infrastructure to this countries with a lesser nominal GDP? BE SERIOUS!!! uzzyfire:Currently, the largest markets by box office are United States, China, United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea and India; and the countries with the largest number of film productions are India, Nigeria, and the United States. NIGERIA has a population of more than 220m whom are the largest consumers of there own products. What the international film board said about the Nigerian movie and music industry-Film-making in Nigeria is divided largely along regional, and marginally ethnic and religious lines. The poor quality of movie products without content are the main challenges facing it. |
Hehehe... First of all you sound bitter and confused, you amuse me on your shallow knowledge and idiotic arguments!! uzzyfire:Nigeria got its independence from Britain in 1960 while Kenya got hers in 1963. So which Kenya is this of yesterday you talking about? Advice of a Kenyan brother to its fumbling myopic Nigerian brother:- By the way you need lots of it, you could learn a thing or two. -How can the 8th biggest oil producer in the world have the worst infrastructure in comparison to a country like Kenya without any natural resource. -Kenya has the second biggest port handling capacity in Africa serving a population of 40m. It has the capacity of holding 1.4 container at its terminals with a total of 21 terminal berths. It has the 3rd biggest port in Africa under construction that will be serving Ethiopia and South Sudan complete with 1400km of newly built Railway link. It has the biggest inland port in Africa under construction at Naivasha. uzzyfire:Travelling since the beginning of time, illegally? -How can you justify your kinsmen dying in the Libyan desert like dogs, drowning in the ocean like fish carcass etc. Travelling with sachets of drugs in their stomachs and rotting in foreign jails with different life sentences in jail. My advice to you is provide opportunities that will stop them from being vulture food. uzzyfire:So is China and India with 5 times the population but i aint seeing Indians or Chinese on the news with drugs and shit. uzzyfire:Boko haram- Is an Islamic terrorist group based within Nigeria, comprised of entirely Nigerians and attacking fellow Nigerians. Within 5 years it has killed more than 20,000 Nigerians. Al Qaeda- Is an Islamic terrorist group based in Afghanistan and attacking American interests and people. It has killed 2500 Americans. Thats where the difference is. |
sindrek:I agree with you he has good grammar but my point of departure with your concerns is that you are turning a blind eye to the fact that Nigeria is a laughing stock in the African dimension. All African countries are rising with the exception of Nigeria and without big oil reserves to inject into their economy. Countries like Angola which had decades of war are ultimately rising, South Sudan, Sudan despite its war have better infrastructure than Nigeria etc. sindrek:He has wisdom. |
Bigsteveg:Its not a matter of IF Nigeria is a failed state- Its a failed state. Period Bigsteveg:Individually i believe in you.... But what about the other Nigerians who are intact on dragging you down the gutter both at home and internationally with their criminal activities. Bigsteveg:Saying it and doing it are a whole different lot. What steps are Nigerians doing in changing the situation currently because the situation is even getting worse than before -More Nigerians are dying on their way to Europe illegally -More Nigerians than ever are now being caught exporting drugs and human trafficking -More Nigerians are fleeing the Boko Haram insurgency and insecurity |
Bigsteveg:Delusion is when a Nigerian brags of being a giANT when: Your president goes to England to seek medical help 99% of Nigeria lacks clean taped water and functioning sewer systems Big brother Naija is actually filmed in South Africa!!!! Lack of consistent electricity Biggest number of illegal immigrants to Europe Boko haram has completely exposed the weakness of the Nigerian Army capability Nigeria is all failure... |
uzzyfire:No silly..... we should wine and dine over it. |
sindrek:Nobody has stopped you from uploading the all internet either, it must probably because of the poor network coverage or lack of electricity supply that is stopping you from doing it. Nigeria & poor electricity supply are like ISIS and beheadings. |
Nairobi metro train
|
sindrek:Just coz your dreams ain't working, it doesn't mean you kill someone else's dream just coz theirs is working. 1. Nairobi train station 2. Mtito Andei train station 3. Sultan Hamud train station 4. Mombasa Train station
|
Nairobi The city that never sleeps
|
Kenya has smooth and extensive road network.....

MARKETfund:You are most welcome sir... Kenya is a beautiful country.
|
Wisdomval67:I cant hear you from the noise of your generator in the background? |
I dont know why most Nigerians tend to suffer severe jealousy traits when they see other African countries progressing. Meanwhile in Kenya
|
Chimezie250:I didnt know insults were part of the Nigerian list of achievements? |
