With just 40 million population it GDP per capita is less than that of nigeria of almost 200 million.

Just take a look at Qatar And USA, the GDP per capita of Qatar is like 1.7x that of USA, if Kenya can't achieve something like this with nigeria then kenyans should bury their head in shame.

I think Nairobi has the best weather in the world -- so chilly at times that you forget you are still in Africa.

Kenya is like the Naija of East Africa, economically. Visited nice residential areas in the Westlands area. You'd be forgiven for thinking you're in Europe. White people love that country.

I spent a week in Isiolo which is as far north as you can be, it is an area of Kenya close to the Somali border. The Kenyan weather is variable depending on where you are, there are some far-flung villages I went to that were experiencing arid, semi-desert conditions. Isiolo itself was very hot during the day but cold and chilly at night.

No pics to post on Nairaland. I only took pictures of myself and my colleagues doing what we came here for, I didn't have time for leisure picture-taking.

I love Kenya too much abeg, I feel so sad that I have to return back to base tomorrow.

State Univs. are now in serious biz.
In 2006, TASUED acceptance fee was N10,000. I m very sure it ll be almost or over N50,000 now.
The tution was N26,000plus for indigenes & maybe N29,000plus for non indigenes back then. It only rise with N2,000 to 3,000 increment yearly.
Even as at 2010, it was N31,000plus for indigenes & N36,000plus for non indigenes.
Now, it's almost N80,000
for indigenes & N94,000 for non indigenes. This world don spoil finish!

My brother is currently schooling in ATBU( Abubakar Tafa Balewa University) and he pays less than 20,000 as school fees. My girlfriend finished from UniBen and the last school fees she paid was N19,000.

There are many nigerians here who can testify to this. Many state own universities that pay a higher than federal Universities.

Michael okpara university of Agriculture,umudike- #56500 - #60500 which include #15000 acceptance fee for freshers. While old students pay around #33k - #38k depending on your course. The hostel fee is 10k which is optional. This is 2013/2014 fees structure..

Genieluv, Is like posting pictures of Abuja, Lagos, portharcourt, akwa ibom, Calabar etc and make the world believe that is how Nigeria looks like. Kenya's beauty is just in some part of Nairobi and Mombasa but that doesn't mean most parts of Kenya look like that.

Kenya's GDP per capita just crossed $1000 despite the small population and that should speak a lot. When you said standard of living is high is Kenya I just laughed silently.

On education, Kenyanstar was claiming free education and almost free University fees. Do you know most public universities still pay less than N19,000 as school fees for a whole session? That's less than $50 per year. What else do we call free education?

OK l get you, Nigerians migrating to kenya is your main concern(correct me if l'm wrong) here l think. Well do you know how many Nigerians we have in Cameroon? About 4million Nigerians are there, but for the language restriction we could be more , migration does not determine a poo or super country. Many migrate to tap better opportunities elsewhere by thinking they can withstand competition there easily.
