Judinho59: Incase yours stopped, try this on your DroidVPN.

UDP Port: 0. Local bind: 1110
Yeah shoud probably work with DroidVPN, cos unlike Glo BIS it connects, the H sign comes up, and the up and down browsing arrows show, only that it just redirects to the Etisalat IP: 41.223.145.141.
HealthRe: What Soap Do You Use? by kenyarttar: 10:59pm On Dec 18, 2013
Seun: Safeguard is the best soap.
Seun: It's medicated but it also has a really nice smell. Makes you feel very clean. Most medicated soaps smell awful.
Been using dettol for about 5 years now but as soon as Safeguard came out months back omo i switch oh. The marketing was great and i was eager to try it. I eventually tried it, loved it, and ported permanently. As Seun said it's medicated plus it has a mild sweet fresh scent. Yes yes yes!

Confirmed!

If you have existing data you'll still be able to keep on using it (like Airtel was supposed to be after Dec 3rd) but if you subscribed today (after 9pm confirmed sha) won't be able to browse with line on non BB devices.

Oh well, was sweet for the 13 days or so it lasted. Back to the slow Airtel and hopefully on to the next hack soon. Think people!
PhonesRe: by kenyarttar: 6:06am On Dec 17, 2013
I probably won't mind buying a high end Second Hand phone for less than 30k especially if it's one of the Sammys.

But anything more than 30k i'd pass and rather get a brand new Low end with great performance.
PhonesRe: Tecno L3 Vs. Opsson 6622 Battery by kenyarttar: 6:02am On Dec 17, 2013
The battery of the L3 is 2400mAh, while that of the Opsson 6622 is only 1600 MAh.

It's a no brainier, the L3 will outperform the Opsson 6622!
WebmastersRe: Which Nigerian Web Host Do You Use? by kenyarttar: 4:17am On Dec 17, 2013
What I'm presently doing is to buy the domain name myself through a registrar and host the site completely free on Blogger (Google). And with blogger's ability to create pages and not just blog posts alone it's definitely proven to be the best thing since sliced bread.

Take my advice, thank me later.

She used to work as a cashier but was sacked when she got busted stealing so needs a well to do guy to support her.

BusinessRe: Watch Out For Scammers At Shoprite (ikeja) by kenyarttar: 3:23pm On Dec 15, 2013
arcbabe: OP that is where cashiers get their money from,I have worked as a cashier before. You are very wicked trying to expose her and if they sack her what benefit will it be to you. If a product bought is scanned it will reflect in the invoice but if the product is not scanned it wouldn't reflect in the invoice and that is where cashier see their own money from. So they feel it is better not to scan the product so that it wouldn't reflect in the invoice and the money is theirs b'cos you can't scan a product that has already reflected in the invoice and take the money, they will have shortage of cash and the money will be deducted from their salary. So the trick is don't scan a product and it won't reflect in the invoice and the money is yours without you having any form of shortage.
arcbabe i hope you finally found that mugu (like you wished on May 19 2013) to take care of your thieving lazy ass.

a process flaw somewhere, still too soon for us to loose faith in ecommerce. Sad Jumia hasn't been able to detect and rectify it but you'll surely get your money back. Moreso with this thing going public on Nairaland. just pity the staff who will receive knocks for this based on negligence.
PhonesRe: Battery: Android, Windowsphone, Blackberry.... by kenyarttar: 9:57pm On Dec 09, 2013
what about having 2 gig ram and quad core as a criteria
Well your initial question was about battery life wasn't it.
PhonesRe: Battery: Android, Windowsphone, Blackberry.... by kenyarttar: 6:27pm On Dec 09, 2013
This is a very wrong premise. Battery quality is not determined by originating company but by capacity.

Batteries are graded in Li-Ion mAh units. Look out for that feature when researching phone specifications.

A battery of about 1,500 mAh should get you through the day with light browsing. But if you really want a power device that can take you through the day with heavy browsing and all what not, then go for devices with minimum battery capacities of about 2,500 mAhs

On that note my best recommendation for highly affordable phones is the the Tecno L3 which comes with a whopping 2400mAh battery capacity and costs only N14k.
PropertiesRe: Tenant From Hell - Should I Get Mobile Police by kenyarttar: 8:48pm On Dec 08, 2013
gabbytabby my fam were recently able to evict a tenant after a 7 year legal tussle. Some of the fault being our/our lawyers improper filing/tabling of the case. The court gave mense profit and all but in reality the amount spent over the years and the court/police people you have to settle to coax them to do their job no be small thing. Realistically the evicted tenant might take a lifetime to pay up, the only real consolation is you get possession of your property back.

truth is your lawyer will make big money from you through this case. Naija being what it is the case will drag. The defaulting tenant will find joy in spending less money paying his lawyer. Be ready for a very very long thing.

If you really want to resolve this problem once and for all and have peace of mind your best bet is to forcefully evict them with influence of top military/police guys. They are above the law in Nigeria and gets the job done. Once the defaulting tenants things are out they can rant and rave and even counter sue you to court but now the joke's on them as the court process will obviously drag, they spending their last money to prosecute it while you laughing to the bank with your rent cash.

knytred: Pls i still have mb on my fone can i still top up? Must i do differnt plans cant i top up with the same plans and after i get the 10mb do i nees to deactivate...remember i said i still have like 700mb now should i deactivate that
you don't have to deactivate anything. Just test with the N70 plan i earlier mentioned and if it goes to A10 account than proceed.

I did 2 different plans because i wanted to maximize my benefit before dooms day and it isn't possible to do 6gb for 3k plan twice.

kdf3449: I just did it,the daily plan was added to my A10 account. I will recharge 3500 later so i can do the 8gb. I was sent a text that on how to disable auto renewal for the daily plan, should i go ahead?
Please go ahead. N3,500 can only give you 6gb sha. Reread my steps again.

kdf3449: I noticed my bb sub is still running in my iphone and i see 592.65 in my A10 account. Please if i want to do the 12gb sub,how do i do it? What is the code? Do i need to cancel this current sub or i can top it up? Thanks
1) first of all dial *440*21# (BB complete Daily). gives you 10mb for 24 hours, costing N70. If it increases balance on your A10 account than proceed to 2

2) Dial *440*016# (BB Unlimited 2+1), gives you 6gb for N3k lasting 90 days

3) additionally you may choose to top up again with *440*16#(BB Unlimited) gives you 2gb for N1,500 lasting 30 days

4) so you now have 8gb to flex for the next 90 days costing you N4.5k useable any time of the day.

Note that it's all a risk sha as per Airtel brain fit spark along the line but kayswag100 has assured us we're safe so that's a small consolation.

Please and please first try "1" above, and if outcome is negative (your A10 balance doesn't increase but instead goes to A9) if means Airtel has already blocked your line from using BIS on non-BB devices.

LeJeun3: Report: Kayswag spoke lotta guys have been insulting and ranting..........

Pls follow this simple guide to keep enjoying Airtel BB plans on the network: Recharge ur SIM with N100.......... do a daily sub *440*17#, once it is successful dial *123*123# to confirm which account it will go to.

Pls pay attention now:
When you do the sub if it goes to Account 9 you have lost the ability to subscribe and use BB plans.
However, if it goes to Account 10 congratulations you still can enjoy the BB plans till the alien take over is complete.

Next: Send 'DEACTIVATE' in an sms to 440 to deactivate the daily plan then u can subscribe to the desired plan you want.

2GB N1500 *440*16# BBUM 1Month
6GB N3000 *440*016# BBUM3 3Months

Note: I have tried and tested this, i subscribed on my modem this night
PS: older lines will enjoy more of this privilege and as long as your Data is still in account 10 nothing will touch it.
kenyarttar: Thanks to kayswag100's insider info i actually recharged before the 3rd so presently enjoying my 6gb for 3k.
Just tried your advice as stated above and it went to account 10. But the actual code i used is *440*21# (BB complete Daily) and it gave me 10mb for 24 hours, cost being only N70.
Will be topping up 3k this morning to get another 6gb giving me 12gb to rock until march 2014.
Many thanks!!!
Silly me seems one can't subscribe to the Airtel 2+1 BBoffer twice. So instead settled for BB Unlimited (*440*16# ), 2gb for N1,500 lasting 30 days. So i presently have over 7gb wink

kayswag100 you might be right in defending Airtel's philosophy for the ban but you are damn wrong in your approach doing so. You're actually very rude and if any of your bosses were to identify you on this thread they would probably objectively fine/suspend/discipline you.

You potray your organization in bad light. Where are your manners man?

Forget work sef, think about your own personal development; we can't move Nigeria forward with this kind of zero customer service attitude.

If you like, ignore this or curse out again na your own cup of tea. Na you dey make your bed, na you go lye on top am.

so what you're saying is that it's actually wise to load up one's line now with more gb before the ban? Are you sure? cos if it's true i don't mind loading 6k on my line and subscribing to get 12 gig?

tecboss: ...
Please I need more intelligent contributions. Thanks
You've got all the intelligent contributions you need. EBK2 has said it all. Read again below. good luck!

EBK2: You dont have a case or a legal standing and no court will entertain your case because:
It is not your right to get a loan from a bank. You are not entitled to depositors money under the custodian of the bank (that's what a loan is).
There is no contratual agreement between you and the bank that the bank will give you a loan.
It is a lose-lose situation if you go to court with them. They have all the money in the world to get the best lawyers to defend your case and will close your account afterall and will may stain your banking record going fwd. The bank is not under any legal obligation whatsoever to maintain your bank, support your business or indeed grant you a loan irrespective of a pre-account opening smooth talks they gave you.
Also, you are not entitled to get a reimbursement for the costs you incurred so far. These are statutory records you should keep in the first place. If you get a good lawyer, he will tell you the court may even fine you for inundating it with frivolities discourage you. if you get a rogue lawyer, he will tell you that you have a case and charge you fees to start with. Bro, lick your wound, take your cost and focus on your business. Build your future in such a way that a time will come when banks will be begging you to take loans from them. That is absolutely possible!
Becaause they have not treated you fairly (please note, this is not to suggest that they acted illegally to warrant legal action), your only redress is to report them to a consumer group, CBN or any of their regulators. But in a poorly regulated environment, this is also a mere waste of time.
What i will advise you to do is to continue to parley with them and develope good relationship with your bank or perhaps, close your account and go to another bank.
Banks are in the business of giving loan and that is their source of living. If they are not busllish about giving you a loan, then there is nothing in there for them.
I hope i have helped and sorry if i have been a bit blunt but that is just what it is.

As battery life is one of your main considerations then look no further than the TECNO L3. battery life capacity is a sexy 2400mAh. On the other hand the p5 recommended above is just 1800mAh. The L3 is even cheaper at about 14k, it has 3g and the ram is 512MB http://tecno-mobile.com/product/product?current_item=tl3

FamilyRe: Is It OK To Accept His Proposal? by kenyarttar: 8:34am On Nov 24, 2013
Irrespective of how many failed relationships and disappointments he's had in the past, there are certain things that just can't be rushed - one of which is the dating game.

Yes, it's good to know what you want as an individual, but you have to make sure the other person you've set your eyes on is good for you and likewise she, him (vise versa). Marriage is a serious life-time commitment. It's not something you jump into when the going's good and then jump out of when the going gets tough... and if you're planning on spending the next forty, fifty, sixty or even seventy years of your life with your intended, surely taking a year or two to understand him / her isn't asking too much?

To do otherwise (like Solomon Grandy - popular children's poem) is akin to judging a book by it's cover. No serious minded mature person should do that. You must scratch beneath the surface to make sure what you see before you is real.

The only exception I see to this (taking your time), are cases of arranged marriages - which isn't the case for @OP or you either, abi?
Well said Efemena_xy. This eagle, eye guy on the other hand thinks he's some sort of hot cake god's gift to women. Mature minds know that it's not how quick but how well.
FamilyRe: Is It OK To Accept His Proposal? by kenyarttar: 7:53pm On Nov 23, 2013
Sometimes, a guy gets to that stage where he just wants to get it over with. At that particular point and time, he just wants to settle down and move on with life.
But I have observed from experience, that women get scared of this type of guys...... thinking they have skeletons in the cupboard (some do have).
NB
I think the Op should encourage him, and at the same time tell him to date/court her for sometime, to enable them learn each other. If the guys intentions are noble, he will be very happy with this answer.
She may regret it, if she outrightly rejects him and another accepts him shortly after that.
In my case, I have dated a lot of women and found that physically it is the same thing 'down there'. But if you matured and patient, you can equally handle all women character wise.
So it got to the point, where I will first hint marriage before I start dating/courting properly. But women, will then see you as being desperate....LoL
O boy what the fu[ck is "get it over with"? Na quickie you dey talk about abi na marriage? You just end up sounding like a truant student killing himself the night before exams to crash cram while his mates have been studying since the start of the semester. Tell him to chill the fu[ck out and date some more. It's never good to make life decisions when one has an e[rection (the relationship is still at the initial gra gra lovey dovey stage)
