Politics › Re: Why Are There No Military Men On Check Points During Sit At Home. by Kessarc: 4:20am On Oct 12, 2021 |
DOTian: Actually, those military and paramilitary checkpoints have been there since the war between Biafra and Nigeria. It was not the case before the war. These were the normal military mop up checkpoints during and after firefights... What happened was that at the end of the war, Gowon was battling with his conscience and tried forcing normality back in the East even if halfhearted. But the likes of Murtala, Obasanjo, Buhari, Babangida, Danjuma and co , who were field officers during the war felt he was too soft on the easterners and that the winners needed to take it all. So they chased him away and practically militarized the whole SE ever since, going after the oil resources as war booty.. As a kid growing up, I always thought that a checkpoint at every pole was the best default security template. Not until I went to the North for my youth service that I knew things were different elsewhere within the same country. Then I left the country thereafter and never saw police men with Kalashnikovs walking menacingly around for once. It's terrible.. You have just proven to be one of the wisest people on this forum boss |

Politics › Re: Bandits From Neighbouring States Terrorizing Anambra - Obiano Tells Buhari by Kessarc: 9:47pm On Oct 07, 2021 |
Rugaria: Is Buhari even serious?
THEIR PLAN:
1) Some unknown figures emerged from nowhere and started shooting everybody in sight. They actually beheaded an innocent almajiri somewhere near Onitsha and pasted a huge banner that read "The Return of The Unknown Gunmen"!! What an announcement! You actually believed that IPOB ESN will announce themselves in this way? Then start denying everything later..?
2) NEXT, They trailed a very respected but peaceful medical practitioner and executed him in the most gruesome way possible for no justifiable reason and tried to blame IPOB! The needed the people to be outraged in order to deploy men for their hatchet job...
3) While the killings were going on in top speed, every information disemination channels of the government was on overdrive trying to pin the killings on IPOB and Biafran agitators while IPOB was struggling restlessly to deny any involvement. Online pro government hoodlums created a thousand accounts every minute just to shout "IPOB-ESN are terrorists".. They're still at it..
4) NEXT, campaign structures of every political party was targeted. These arsonists even raised down the DSS and Police headquarters at Nnewi! If you know the amount of armed men in these places, you would know that men in about 3 cars can't comfortably carry out such attacks without help and get away do cheaply...
5) So, without warning, the Federal government declared an army exercise in Anambra and adjoining states. Note that this exercise was supposed to have been planned much earlier, taking into cognizance the planning and marshalling of materials needed. Somehow it coincided with the period the governorship elections in Anambra state will go down! Coincidence?
6) Quickly and without any notice, a new Police commissioner was announced for Anambra state few hours ago and the former Police commissioner in Anambra who might be sympathetic to Obiano relocated to force headquarters!
7) The new Police commissioner used to be the Officer in Command of the new police Zonal Division that was sited at Ukpor for no reasons. Ukpor is the hometown of Arthur Ézè. Arthur Ézè has been having an unending running battle with governor Obiano! Obiano actually opposed the siting of the new divisional headquarters at Ukpor and sacked the traditional rulers who joined Arthur Ézè to go to Abuja for a solidarity visit to Buhari...
8 ) With the state highly militarized, and with a new Police Chief ostensibly loyal to Arthur Ézè and his gang, it's starting to look like Abujas candidate in the Anambra elections is whosoever that Arthur Ézè is supporting. Andy Uba is Obasanjos boy. Buhari might not be keen on him..
Now, Buhari and his goons are threatening a State of Emergency!!! In Anambra not in Katsina, Kaduna or Borno.. Isn't that wonderful?
SUMMARY:
The whole noise and killings and beheading in Anambra are nothing but parts of a well choreographed, well funded plan to rig the elections or alternatively make the elections inconclusive, in order to allow herdsman Tanko at the supreme court to do his usual thing. Anambra people should be vigilant... U said it all |

Politics › IPOB: My Worries! Pictures attached by Kessarc(op): 9:53am On Oct 05, 2021 |
Since after the 2015 arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB have been growing in popularity and in membership. 2014 I was among the greatest critics of Kanu until Grazing route, Water resources thing and Benue killings that he earlier talked about. I still have not completely bought 100% of the way he’s going about his self determination. Even though I don’t agree with him completely, I’m still not comfortable with the way he was brought back and the way IPOB case is desperately followed even by common citizens especially from the north where they still have series of security issues to worry about. I was wowed yesterday after I read the Corn flakes saga yesterday, which makes me it a bit clear why our northern brothers are really against Southern disintegration and possible revolution.
The way most of our northern brothers follow this IPOB case, you’ll think IPOB is the reason why theirs so much insecurity in their region. I saw a post from Someone who was crying about his friends being killed in Jos last week, but same person was really practically violent and wanted an immediate clamp on IPOB while he didn’t react as such when his own people were killed at Jos. Reading the corn flakes write up is making everything look a bit clear to Me.
IPOB started as a non violent organization, even when they were killed, they didn’t retaliate nor pick up arms. I remember also during the operation python dance, how people from all over some regions were calling them chest beaters that they can’t do anything, even I remember a lot of people mocking them with the pictures of operation Python dance. In fact any Igbo here that makes a comment about some regional issues will be slammed with pictures of python dance just to spite them.
Why did people stop posting those pictures of Python dance? Why are they no longer called chest beaters?
I remember even some northern folks said back then that if their people were treated that way, they would pick up arms.
I’m so worried. Why Igbos are so hated. Even the way they talk about clamping down IPOB, it’s not for our own good, I’ve monitored the contexts.
