dmcdad: Bro... That's what these people don't understand. The specs on paper has gotten everyone thinking if it ain't like this then it ain't good at all. That's a wrong ideology from people. The 512mb ram on the iPad Mini makes a whole lot of sense than any Android device with a 1gb ram. Should we talk about camera? A lot of noobs think the number of MP (megapixels) a camera has, the better. I guess they are just ignorant. The camera on the iPhone 5S (8MP) beats the S5. The number of pixels translates to the overall size of the image, but the size of the pixels, the aperture, the focus and whatever image stabilisation that is being used are what makes a camera great. Not the number of MPs (megapixels).

I use Note II presently, but I must confess that the camera on the iPhone 4S beats it in every department. The only phone that would compete with an iPhone camera and win is the Lumia (I think 1050 and some other high end ones).

The likes of Samsung and co have made it look like if it's not like this on paper, then it's not up to. As much as Samsung mocks Apple using one iPhone shortcoming or another, why have they not done an advert mocking an iPhone in a speed or browsing test? That's because they know even though they put up 8-cores in their recent devices, it's still nothing compared to a dual-core in an iPhone device. This ain't rocket science, it's very simple and people need to understand these facts.

I had owned a S2 and thought it was great until it died suddently one day and then I went back to Sony (Xperia ZR with a larger battery off mpj is now).I found the Samsung phones usually to be quite flimsy. Removable battery is not a truly problem---durability is.

So nokia lumia is best for Resolution while Htc one m8 is best for low light photography.

Olucheye: I Went through the said list and I couldn't but wonder why TECNO is leading the pack. Yes TECNO of all smartphone's that technology allowed to have graced 2014.
I'm not a hater on the TECNO brand but, whenever a spade is seen, it's shouldn't be called anything short of a Spade. TECNO is a capital NO!

I'm pretty certain the front camera of my S4 will perform better than that TECNO R7 or whatever you call it. Nevertherless, I must applaud the coy in charge of TECNO's production. Over the course of the years, the improvement on their devices has been seen to have provided a near perfect substitute for people who don't seem to be in the technological rave or people who can't afford the staggering prices of the Samsung's, Sony's or Apple phones.

Take it or leave it, NOKIA's LUMIA 1020 Is The King Of Mobile Photograhy. (Argue in Your Space Please). The design, megapixel is just apt and stunning. Have you seen a video on a LUMIA 1020?? If Not, kindly look for someone to borrow from and check it out.
The rest on my list in no particular order will be,

iPhone 5s - Apple Needs No Introduction. Take it or leave it the camera is clearer that early morning water from the stream!

Sony Xperia Z2 - No words

LG G3 - Equipped with a laser-focus 13 Megapixel. That's all you need to convince you if you're no dolt.

Samsung Galaxy S5 - I personally own an S4 and believe me, pictures on S4 is nothing short of amazing.. S5 blew me out on seeing it.

HTC One M8 - you just doff your hat for this piece of tech.

Gbyte: I really don't know why People make noise about Samsung and why Samsung even make noise about what their plastic, lets forget about every of iPhone's features and all of Samsung's feature, then consider one thing, durability, when talking about Durability, Apple would give you the value of your money anytime anyday, for like 5-6yrs now I've always had atleast one Apple device with me, and let me let you know one thing, on my iphone, I can perform any kind of experiement I see online with my phone and I'm so so confident that nothing would happen to my phone, they worst that would happen to my phone would be solved my restoring the phone's firmware, but on Samsung, little experiment and you get it wrong, trust me, your phone is gone and gone forever. Ask Samsung users, so whats the noise about Samsung if you are not even sure of the life span of the phone you spend thousand of naira/hundreds of dollars to buy.

I've been with Apple for years now and I've had no reason atleast to repair any part of my phone except replace my broken screens, and even with a broken screen the screentouch of my phone would still work fine.

Abeg make Samsung pack well, always comparing with Apple, why don't you people ask yourselves why Apple has never done advert to mock or compare with Samsung ? Its because they know they are better and Samsung just always look for reasons to get Apple customers with their Ads, but tell Sammy that we aint coming. We are cool with our Apple

CityNG: My pos t is not meant as an argument but educative to someone that may not know.

I have both mini iPad and Samsung Tab3. I have USB connector for the Samsung and the Apple connector for the iPad thetas enables me to connect thumb drives, SD cards and external SSD. I hardly use them as that is another device to carry and instead just use Cloud storage.

I'm a firm believer of using the right tool for the job and if a laptop is your hammer then so be it, but that doesn't mean that a tablet can't also hammer as good as a laptop.

I have iMac and MacAir (both running OSX, Windows 8.1 and Linux), mini iPad, Netbook (running Windows and Linux) so the one I carry is the one that fits the work I do. For games I have PS3 and Wii (never got into Xbox).
