babapupa: Na lie,
You dey overreach small small.
Nothing worth doing is immune to dangers and flaws, your so called oyinbo people started from somewhere and I'm sure they had their growing pains before perfection. Bottom line and good or bad, we have to start from somewhere and keep correcting our errors as we move along till we get it right. Oyinbo folks put in the hard work and there was a time in America when the mob controlled police departments. You have to go to school, learn put in the hard work before you graduate, nothing comes easy. The real danger is defeating yourself mentally and surrendering without lifting a finger or taking a single step. I'm not here to join issues with you. Where were you in 1979? I'm sure you were a very small child or may very well have not been born then. What you do not know you ask. Go and ask people who were around then who the "SANGO" people were during Jakande's regime. The police you have now have they improved your security? What is the moral of advocating when we all know hoe EVEIL these people are? Have you ever fallen a victim of these brutal humans? |
Politics › Re: Lagos Governor Calls For State Police by keyremotes(m): 10:30pm On Oct 19, 2009 |
During the 1979 administration Lateef Jakande had state police in Lagos. And guess what? They were at terror to Lagosians. In the same mould as LASTMA and the other mushroom agents of the government.
We like to copy oyibo people but do not take out time to understand how they do their things.
Look at the LAGBUS and LAMATA buses, they are no different from the Molues they are supposed to replace. The drivers are terrible (They will fail a driving test in any organised socoiety).
The state police will not be any different from the one we currently have in our hands Jare. |

I hope you get your money back. routsz: @bisifunke i feel yr situation. pls collect yr money at once! if it were in the bank, interests will accrue. don't b misled by "cars are always cheaper in cotonou". sometimes cars are very xpensive in cotonou - compared with the same brand here. resolve to buy yr car from d postings on nairaland. and may u run into a honest, god-fearing nairaland auto dealer You could not have said it better. marvix: Yar adua is not a sincere person from time.hes aware of this from d begining, when it became embarrasing for d FG.He had to act.Evrything was done internally.
I think its unfair to refer to Yaradua as an unsincere person i believe that he has proven himself to be sincere, lets take our minds back to when he assumed office and we all went on strike following the fuel price increases and other matters while he pleaded that we went back to work labour stood their grounds until he finally committed himself that prices of petroleum products would not be increased without the approval of labour and related unions who were incorporated in the pricing commitee now 2 yrs after we are yet to see a price increase instead we have witnessed a reduction that has been sustained despite all what our oil marketers may have wanted, what abt his handling of the lagos council funds, what abt his handling of court pronouncemnts what abt his handling of the niger delta issue among others, he has shown a capacity to be sincere by even coming out openly to say "the elections that brought me in were flawed" how many of our leaders have been able to agree to that simple fact.
On the issue of the passports of the duo i believe that truly the president might not be aware of the move by the D.G, and the D.G cld have done it thinking he would get a presidential pat on the back the same way the ambassador gave his advise hoping the president or whoever gave the order would reconsider, but Mr president would only accept your assistanc if itis within the law and any other underhand deal no matter what its purpose would find you on your own, this D.G has been in that office before Yaradua came in and maybe he thot it was still business as usual but i say sorry to him and hope other officials take a cue and stop embarrasing our nation.
I also want to plead with us most especially the youths that it is not as bad as we think it is the president is trying his best and i believe that if we exercise patience and give our support this nation will achieve more instead of looking at govt especially the president as an enemy we should look at him as a partner in achieving our dreams as a nation. I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOU O. ALL IS THERE FOR ALL TO SEE. ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ANOTHER COUNTRY HERE? WHAT CAN YOU TRULLY AND SINCERELY POINT AT THAT THEY HAVE ACHIEVED? IS IT THE PLANNED REMOVAL OF "SUBSIDY"? IS IT THE ROMANCE WITH IBORI, IGBINEDION AND OTHERS WHAT IS THE HOPE OF THE PEOPLE OF OUR GENERATION? REMEMBER, AT THE AGE OF 30 GOWON WAS HEAD OF STATE. HOW MANY 30 YEAR OLD'S HAVE A ROOF OF THEIR OWN OVER THEIR HEADS? |

I understand Mr. Fashola is visiting Oworonshoki today to commission the Gbagada General Hospital Annex.
There was an incident that happened yesterday in the neighbourhood.
The main road that leads to the Hospital Annex has been left abandoned for a very long time now (a normal thing in these parts).
The Kosofe LGA chairman hurridly mobilised work men to fix the road to give his boss a good impression. Alas, the residents staged a lock down and refused to allow the work men do the job so Fashola could see the real thing.
It was on till late in the evening. The chairman send police men to disperse the crowd. They met a brick wall. A particularly pained woman stood her ground. She asked them to kill her first before they will be allowed to do any work.
You will be amazed that the chairman went to report to the oba (who also became oba in a questionable circumstance), who came there to appeal to the crowd to let the job be done.
Now tell me how we can move forward with this kind of interference from the so called oba?
Now the emergency job has been done.
News also has it that the chairman just finished about 2 roads in another part of Oworonshoki where he just bought a house.
Nigerians must rise up to fight this sort of injustices. |

THIS MAY JUST TURN OUT TO BE AN INCREMENT TOO MANY. THE LOGIC IS SIMPLE: The country is not making money enough for the rogues in government to steal. So, they want to transfer the "cost" to us so they can have more to steal. They force us to pay TAX and steal the proceeds. They fail in their responsibilities of providing pipe borne water and electricity. So, they device ways to "TAX" you for generating your water and electricity.
It goes on and on. |
