Ibadan is better than Oshogbo, no gain saying that Oshogbo is kinda local(no hating) and not that industrialized but has stable electricity supply, cheap accommodation & even cheap food.

Areas like Iyana Church, Alakia has good power supply and accommodation is not that expensive. If you can get a space along Akobo Road to establish your welding skill, you will make it in no time(from life experience).

Getting accommodation in Ibadan is not that difficult, I would have assist you with that but nairalanders are quick to call you names. You can check Jide TAIWO on Google, website www.jidetaiwoandco.com they have properties across the country, you can even get Ibadan accommodation before your arrival and move in immediately on your arrival

The first recommendation is never to update your best gig, especially now that fiverr is making so many changes. The current algorithm is dynamic and gig position are currently changing fast. What i recommend is for you to use less active gig to play the system. If you have gigs that are not that precious to you, use it to practice some ranking techniques and see how it goes. Let your bestselling gig remain the way it is until you discover another selling point.

Nowadays, there are too many dynamics that can affect gig ranking.

I wanna share my own crazy experience about freelancing. Don't mind the errors

I recently finished my HND ( a member of Press Council- a writing crew in sch through which I used to explore and harness my writing skills without payment) at The Polytechnic, Ibadan a month ago and as every guy going for service, you will want to look for way to make an extra albeit a legitimate way. I've been hearing of fiverr for some time but coz I was busy I never considered it anyways.

Though I am working as an online PR and a Social Media Strategist for a company presently which requires me staying online 24/7. I just decided two weeks ago (this November) to join fiverr ( I was not expecting myself to start earning immediately coz I know my category is already saturated) but I registered anyways so as to see how it works and explore. ( Content Writing, Essay and Article Writing, Creative Writing plus editing)

I asked a couple of friends for some tips and did a lot of researching online.

The first gig ( The guy just chatted me up- It was a custom order) got me a job of 20$ which was even higher than what my gig described which I thought was a lie until I saw the mail confirming it (I Just wrote an essay). No revision and the guy paid immediately and gave a great review.

My second order from the same guy coz he liked my work is now 150$ which I am working on ( he even pleaded for me to collect the amount).
Me self con dey form boss ( registered this month and 2 orders)

More work is still coming and i still have my PR job

Bottom Line: Whatever skill you are good at , always build and harness it coz you do not know when it will pay off( Writing is paying off for me now) .
Do not freak out on your first order and always drop a kind note to your buyers.

Be very good at your job as that is what will make them to come back.
