I was about to say the same thing. Those GH on the old platform showing once in a while are those that abandoned their account during the crisis then. They know better now and needed to confirm old transactions before migrating. They are the ones showing on that time line. Adisa85: Did you check the PH date of the old site very well? And the GH that you are seeing there are those that uploaded fake POP on the old site and were unable to migrate to the new site. That is why they have to settle their PH before migration. With ur question, are u monitoring the PO on PH and GH. I am on more than 4 whatsapp group and no one is ready to back out with pple orientation |

Half of that profit I am sure was made from Nigerians that were into ponzi in the year 2016. All the *737* transfers to those (receiving help) and yet they still majorly employ contract staff for their operations nation wide who are paid peanuts. GTB make you na fear God o. |

Investment › Re: The Death Of Ponzi Schemes In Nigeria. Share Your Experience And Lessons Learnt by kfrosh: 11:34am On Jun 21, 2017 |
Saying ponzi is dead in Nigeria is like saying people no longer save money in banks anymore. People now understand the risk involved and have learnt not to bring their shit to nairaland nomore. For your information hundreds of thousands Nigerians are still in ponzi but codedly with GHW and MMM waxing and standing tall amongst all. Koval12: I believe most people that patronized ponzi scheme earlier this year or late 2016 must be counting their loses at the moment. Watching ponzi scheme fade into oblivion is something most people couldn't have thought of. I really sympathize with those that lost their fortunes to ponzi schemes. I actually learnt the following vital lessons from Ponzi schemes.
As a Nigerians, we are our own greatest enemy. Honesty is the best policy. Most of the people affected by these erstwhile schemes are the greedy ones that went against the honest advice from friends and the society alike. And finally, I learnt that all that glitters is not gold.
If you were affected in anyway by ponzi scheme, share your own experience and lessons with others. |

Career › Re: Mass Sack By Etisalat Nigeria by kfrosh: 4:44pm On May 02, 2017 |
I love your write up bro. It was as if you were talking to me. May God bless our hustle. nextstep: First of all, sorry, ehn. It is well.
I've been sacked 3 times in my career. Everytime, there were rumours weeks and even months before it happened, which I used to prepare. Was this really sudden, or were people talking about impending sack? You say you're confused and don't know what to do; it's really quite simple:
- scale down the wedding (or even postpone it if it's not too late) - apply for work (yes, I know there are no jobs, but you won't get one if you don't even apply) - start a small side hustle (even retailing pure water from your house or recharge card, which you can start with as low as 1k).
Nothing is beneath you. I have a degree in engineering, yet have washed toilets, painted, gardened, done general labour, sold food, because anything is better than 0 naira.
What I learned from my sackings are:
- no matter how qualified you think you are, you are at somebody else's mercy (I know top tech people, bankers, sales staff who suddenly lost their jobs). Try to find ways to reduce your dependence on somebody for a job.
- save 20-30% of your monthly salary for a rainy day. I know people will say there's barely money remaining after rent, food, and transport. My reply is: you can either find ways to save when you're employed or suffer the consequences when you lose your job. Your choice. Even if it means torch phone, no hanging out with the boys and 1 shoe... let people laugh. They won't give you a single naira when you need it.
- you really need to keep one foot in some kind of business that will sustain you. Contracting on the side, selling pure water from your house to your neighbors, or a small provision store that you supervise. As you gather money, you can join some reputable groups/coops to do anything from leasing land for farming (you don't do the actual farming), importing, trading, buying land and developing it. Anything helps.
Take this as a learning point. Ultimately, you are responsible for yourself - you cannot blame your employer for not "taking care of you". It is not in any business' interest to keep staff it can't pay otherwise the business will find itself in trouble and die. |

You see my guy, I accept that it is not like the way it used to be but people are still into it big time. In GHW people are still PHing in millions, this is not hear say, it is what i see. Let me use MMM as a case study,in my office more than half of those that their money crashed in MMM are back to it PHing with their spare money, with so many other people doing it codedly. That you have lost interest doesn't mean everybody has lost interest too. It is just like saying a gambler loosing interest in gambling. Betja and Nairabet will still have customers till thy Kingdom come. Viking007: You just dont want to acknowledge the truth. Ponzi schemes dont sell anymore. |

Investment › Re: People No Longer Do Ponzi by kfrosh: 10:52am On Apr 22, 2017 |
Millions of Nigerians are still into ponzi (MMM & GHW comes to mind) but they have learnt not to bring their shit online especially nairaland in other to safeguard their money. This is because as long as the media don't get in their way, the more secure their investment. Note: Ponzi is never an investment but a way to generate some extra income on the side. |
