The Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Federal Universities on Tuesday called for the immediate re-opening of all shut down universities across the country.

This is contained in a communiqué signed by the committee's Chairman, Prof. Kimse Okoko, released in Abuja on Tuesday.

The communiqué was issued at the end of the committee's meeting to discuss the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other issues affecting the Nigerian University System.

It stated that the call for the re-opening of the universities was unanimously agreed by all Pro-chancellors in the interest of the country.

The communique directed all the Vice-Chancellors to comply with the decision.
It commended the efforts by the Federal Government to address the major issues that led to the strike and lauded the personal intervention of President Goodluck Jonathan in the resolution of the dispute.

It also expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the referendum conducted in all the branches of ASUU nationwide, which voted 60-40 in favour of the suspension of the ongoing strike.

The communique explained that the committee's decision was based on the negative impact the strike had had on the university system, students and the parents.
It, however, appealed for the understanding from the leadership and members of ASUU to ensure speedy restoration of academic activities on campuses

A 22-year-old man, Eji Emmanuel, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for the alleged murder of a 39-year-old trader, Sylvanus Okoye.

According to the police, the suspect stabbed the deceased to death at his home on Ezemegbu Drive, Okota in August.

The suspect, however, explained that he killed the deceased in self-defence.

He alleged that on the day of the incident, Okoye had attempted to rape him.

Explaining the events that culminated in Okoye’s death, the suspect said he was a dancer and was lured to Lagos by a friend, Chukwudi, under the guise of doing music business only for the friend to introduce him to homosexuality.

He said he had gone to report the matter to his friend’s boss but his friend’s boss raped him twice and he reported the matter at the FESTAC Police Division.

He said the matter was transferred to the Zone 2 Police Command and the case was turned against him after which he spent two weeks in detention.

He said he had approached Okoye, who he considered an Igbo leader in the state, to help him with money to return to Anambra State when Okoye also attempted to rape him.

He said, “I went along with a relative to report the matter to Okoye and he gave my friend and I N5,000 and shirts. He told us not to worry, so we slept over at his house. At midnight, however, Okoye came to my room and attempted to have sex with me but I refused him.

“My relative later told me that Okoye had sex with him in the parlour that same night. We left in the morning and returned to Anambra State. From there, I went to Abuja where I remained for four months. However, one day, Okoye called me that he had a business deal and invited me to come to Lagos.

“I told Okoye that I would not engage in any act of homosexuality and he agreed.”

The suspect said when he returned to Lagos, the deceased said he wanted to open a bar in the area and wanted him to manage the business.

He said he passed the night at the deceased’s home, but at midnight, the deceased crept into his room and attempted to make love to him.

He said, “In the evening, Okoye served me with bread, butter and tea in my room. Around 3.30am, he crept into my room and wanted to sleep with me, but I refused him.

“Okoye was a big man so he attempted to overpower me, but I picked up the bread knife that was still left in the room and stabbed him in the neck, but he did not die.

“I picked up a flexible iron and bound it round his neck and locked him inside the room.

“When it was 6am, I stepped out of the house and gave the key to one woman beside the gate and fled.”

PUNCH Metro had reported on August 16, 2013, that Okoye was found murdered in his home two weeks after he was last seen by neighbours.

It was learnt that following the discovery, the security guard and the woman whom the suspect handed the key to were arrested by detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba.

PUNCH Metro learnt that after three months, detectives were able to locate the suspect in Anambra State.

A police detective said, “The security guard told us that he could identify the suspect if he saw him.

“In the course of investigation, we obtained call logs from Okoye’s phone and we learnt that the suspect had used Okoye’s phone to call his girlfriend in Anambra State shortly after killing Okoye.

“We travelled to Anambra State and we were able to locate the suspect who was even wearing the deceased’s clothes.”

The suspect, however, insisted that he was not a killer but a victim of circumstance.

He said, “My father and my brother are dead. I am the only child of my mother. Who will take care of her if I am sent to prison?

“I am not a homosexual but I was used. I tried for several months to impregnate my girlfriend but was not successful. I feel they have stolen my virtues.”

Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, confirmed Emmanuel’s arrest to our correspondent on the telephone.

Braide added that the police were still working to establish it the the victim was a homosexual or not as alleged by the suspect.

A Makurdi High Court on Tuesday sentenced, Jacob Atongo, a 100-level sociology student, Benue State University, to death by hanging for armed robbery.

In his judgment, Justice Adam Onum, held that he was satisfied with the confession of the accused to the charges and therefore, found him guilty.

Onum sentenced the accused to death by hanging, insisting that the sentence prescribed under the law for the offence must be followed.

Atongo conspired with two others and robbed Stephen Akuma, and several others at gun point on June 26, 2012.

The convict and his accomplices robbed Akuma of his Toyota Camry car with registration number Benue AID 39 AA and other victims of valuables, including various sums of money.

He also attacked Judges’ Quarters, Makurdi on July 3, 2012 and robbed no fewer than 15 people, dispossessing them of various items and money at gun point.

The offences contravened the Robbery and Firearms Laws.

During the proceedings, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and testified for himself along with one witness called by his counsel.

Prosecution called seven witnesses and tendered several exhibits, which included two statements made by the convict to the police.

In statements, according to the prosecution, the convict confessed to the commission of the offences.

But counsel to the accused, Mr E.Z. Agbakor, argued that the prosecution failed to prove the case against his client beyond all reasonable doubt.

Agbakor told the court that the accused did not make the statement tendered in court voluntarily, insisting his client was tortured and forced to confess to the offences.

He submitted further that several “material inconsistencies and contradictions existed which cast reasonable doubt on the case of the prosecution”.

The counsel pointed out that there was no identification parade conducted on the accused, and urged the court to discharge and acquit his client.

On her part, Prosecuting Counsel, Mrs Moji Sule, submitted that prosecution had established every charge against the accused based on the strength of his statements.

Sule argued that there was no need for identification parade where the accused had identified himself with the commission of the crimes

Lagos – The Medical Director, Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, Dr Femi Olaleye, on Friday said breast cancer killed one in every 25 Nigerian women.

He made this known on Friday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

“The incidence of breast cancer is one in 25, but because we don’t screen our population, it’s actually a death sentence.

“In other parts of the world, once you’re a woman, that one in 25 is picked up early, procedures are done to quickly stop that cancer from killing her.

“So, it doesn’t kill as much as it is killing here.”

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared breast cancer as the number one cancer scourge afflicting human beings.

WHO says, “One in eight women are at risk of having breast cancer in their lifetime, (a diagnosis of breast cancer is made every other minute).

“Here in Nigeria, most of the diagnoses are made when it is too late, thereby leading to several needless and painful deaths of our beloved moms, sisters, aunts, friends, colleagues.

“Breast cancer is currently the most common cancer in Nigeria.

“One or two in every 25 Nigerian women are at risk of breast cancer, but higher risks exist for women who are older than 45, older than 30 at birth of their first child, and women with family history.”

Olaleye said that breast and cervix cancers were the two most common cancers that affect women.

He urged women to go for breast and cervix cancer screening every year to prevent untimely deaths.

Olaleye said that screening was the process of looking for early signs of a disease in a healthy population.

He explained that while other cancers could be detected through proper medical tools, they could not be screened for in such a cost effective manner.

Olaleye said that the screening was just a five to 10 minutes procedure that medical practitioners in the primary healthcare centres could be trained to do.

He said that the main aim of the foundation was to make screening available to communities across the country.

“Rather than setting up a cancer foundation in your church, you just invite us to come and screen your women every year.

“People who love to be part of public campaign can spearhead this project in their own communities as their own contributions to impact on the lives of their people.”

Olaleye said that annual screening would not only boost a woman’s chance of early detection and survival but also expose her to information she could adopt on preventive measures.

He said that information on lifestyle including eating habits, exercise practise and stress level often came during counseling.

How well I remember the years I sought for power with God, prayed for power, and read every book I could find that would tell me how to get it.
One day Phil. 2:13 opened up to me. I was reading it in the Twentieth Century Translation. "For it is God who is at work within you, willing and working His own good pleasure."
I wondered why I had never seen it before. I had the Power House in me. I had the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead, and I had never recognized Him!
I found that I had been governed by experiences. I believed that power would come if I had a certain kind of experience. I sought for that experience. I found that I had more confidence in the experiences of others than in the Word.
Then I saw that if God's ability were let loose in me, it would perform the prodigies my heart was set upon.
I had never majored the fact that I had God in me. I had never majored the fact that the Word on my lips would do the same thing that it did on the lips of Jesus and the disciples.
Then I saw this truth; the Holy Spirit was in me to give me the ability to use the Name and the Word.
This Name has all authority in it. You remember Jesus said, "Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my Name, He will give you."
And again, "In my Name ye shall cast out demons, speak in new tongues, lay hands on the sick and they shall recover."
Notice this carefully, "that whatsoever ye ask in my Name I will do it."
The miracle working ability of God is in that Name.
I had never before heard anyone preach on it. I will never forget how timid I was when I tried that Name the first time. How thrilled I was when I saw that it worked. It did the thing.
After a while I dared to stand before a congregation and in that Name set the people free from Satan and see them intelligently accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
I did it at first with individuals, and then with an entire congregation. How easy it became to give the invitation. It seemed as if I had lifted a cloud that hung over them.
I saw that I was dealing with supernatural issues. I had dominion over the forces of Darkness in the Name of Jesus. I did not need to pray for power, all I needed was authority, and that authority was in the Name.
Then one day 1 Cor. 1:30 dawned upon me with a new clearness. "God made Jesus wisdom unto us." The ability and wisdom Jesus used in His earth walk was mine.
No one had ever taught us the difference between wisdom and knowledge. No one had ever told us about the authority that the Father had vested in the Name of Jesus. No one had ever preached on our rights and privileges as sons and daughters, and of our right to the use of His Name.
All of this time there was an undercurrent in my life, a sense of unworthiness. The Adversary seemed to delight in making me conscious of unworthiness.
I tried everything that man had taught. I sought the "clean heart," "entire Sanctification," "Second Work of Grace," everything that was preached. I was blessed for a while, but it would all fade away. I wanted something that was permanent. I knew I could find it in the Word.
I was reading Romans 3:26. I knew that the key word of Romans was "Righteousness," but I had no definite interpretation of Righteousness. I had always thought it meant right conduct, right living. I did not see the Pauline significance of it.
In the Pauline Epistles we see that the word Righteousness means the ability to stand in the presence of the Father without any sense of guilt, fear, or condemnation; and in the presence of Satan without any sense of inferiority or fear.
The problem was how to get that righteousness.
Romans 3:26 solved that issue. Let me give you the American Revised Marginal Rendering of it. "That He might Himself be Righteous, the Righteousness of him who has faith in Jesus." Strange, I had never seen it before. God himself was to become my Righteousness the moment that I accepted Christ and confessed Him as my Lord.
Then I remembered Romans 10:10 "For with the heart man believeth unto Righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Then 2 Cor.5:21, "Him who knew no sin God made to be come sin that we might become the Righteousness of God in him."
I couldn't believe it at first. I struggled for days and days on this scripture. I knew that if I became the Righteousness of God in Christ that I would never again depend upon experiences.
I had arrived. The thing that my heart had craved was here, but it would never become real to me until I confessed it before the world.
That Sunday morning, when I dared to say "I am the Righteousness of God in Christ," was when I experienced what it meant. A strange quietness filled my whole being. A joy that I had never before experienced, filled my heart.
I said unconsciously, "I have arrived. I have it. Now I can approach the Father without the sense of unworthiness. I can face the Adversary as a master.
I remember that afternoon, we had a service. As I was coming up the steps to the church, I said, "Satan, at last you are my servant. I am your master."
I had never had that consciousness before. I had been preaching for many years, but I had never known that I was the Righteousness of God in Christ. I had never realized what I had in me.
Now I said, "Father, I am going to let the Spirit loose, He shall be free in me."
Now I could use this Word, the Sword of the Spirit, as I had never before used it.
Then it was that I saw the very genius of Christianity. God had Recreated me. He had given me Eternal Life. He had made me His Righteousness in Christ, by imparting to me His own nature.
I had never realized it, never understood it, consequently I had never taken advantage of it. God had greatly blessed my ministry, He had marvelously opened the Word to me, but this avenue of ministry had never dawned on me. Why? Because no one preached it. No one told us about it. We had unconsciously locked Jesus, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, up in our Creeds and Doctrines.
Now I had a living Word, a miracle-performing Word on my lips.
I will never forget an experience I had. I was called to a neighboring town to pray for an insane man. When I went into the room where he was, his mother introduced me to him. He turned his back to me and would not speak. Like a flash, the truth dawned upon me. I was the Righteousness of God in Christ. I had the superiority over the forces of darkness. I stepped up to the man, and in the Name of Jesus, I demanded the demons to come out of him, and never return.
It wasn't a minute before he grasped my hand, and we had the sweetest fellowship the rest of the visit.
How his mother rejoiced. In the Name of Jesus her son had been set free.
I had the ability to use His Name, and had never before realized it.
A few days later I was called to pray for a young man who had been injured in the first war. I sat by his side opening the Word to him. When I was ready to leave, he asked me to pray for a pain he had in the back of his head.
I again used that Name. I remembered what I was in Christ.
The next day I went back and found him sitting up in a chair. I prayed again for him for perfect deliverance. I knew nothing of his condition. I did not ask him to get up, I prayed for him and left.
The next night I was attending our prayer service. As I entered the door, a young man spoke to me. I greeted him and started into the building. He called me back and asked if I didn't remember him.
His face was familiar, but I did not place him. He said, "I am the fellow you prayed for yesterday. I was shell shocked in the war and hadn't walked for years. Look what I can do now." Tears filled my eyes, as I watched him jump and bend his body in every direction with no pain. He was perfectly healed.
You see, I had found my level. I had seen a great many people healed before that, but at last I had found my place in the program of God.
I was the Righteousness of God in Christ. I had the legal right to the use of His Name. I had Him inside of me who was greater than any force that could come against me.
A few days after that, I was invited to go to the hospital and pray for a woman. This woman had been a teacher in Unity.
I unfolded the Word to her and she accepted Christ. I prayed for her and left. The next night she was in my services, perfectly healed. She became one of our strongest helpers.

Am actually touched by some of ur stories

THE Father has magnified His Word by calling His Son the Word.
John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
John 1:14: "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us." That is the eternal "logos," the Word.
The Father has glorified the Word-this written Word that becomes a Living Word when filled with faith in our lips. It becomes a Life-giving Word. It becomes a healing Word. It becomes an educational Word in the things of the Spirit. It is the Word that the Spirit uses to unveil the things of Jesus to us. It is the Word that He uses when He unveils the things of the Father to us.

Eph. 6:17: "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God." I wondered if that word "spirit" there meant the recreated human spirit?
The Holy Spirit cannot use the Word except as He uses it through our lips. The Word is only used through the lips of the recreated one.
We are going to think of it now as the sword in the lips of the recreated man or woman. It is the Word filled with Love that melts hearts. It is the Word filled with truth that cuts men to the very quick and makes them cry out in agony. It is the Sword of the recreated spirit. It is not only a Sword, but is also the "balm of Gilead." It is the healing, gentle, tender words of the Father.
It has in it the hushing, quieting spirit of love that is in a mother's heart when a child is wounded. What a wonderful thing it is to live in the reality of the Word, to have the Word in our lips filled with the energy of God blessing, saving, and recreating men and women; healing the sick, and breaking the power of demons over men's lives. What a thing it is-this Living Word. We hold in our hands the Written Word. When we become filled with the Spirit and Love gains the mastery, it becomes a Living Word in our lips; it becomes a prevailing Word over the forces of evil around us.
It prevails over doubt and fear. It prevails over ignorance, failure, and weakness in men.

Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Hearing means acting, doing the Word of God. You will never have faith until you act on the Word of God. You may have Mental Assent and you may glory in the Word and tell how beautiful it is. That is fine, but it does no good. You must act on the Word. Step out of the realm of failures into the realm of the successful. Become a dominator of circumstances rather than a slave of the conditions around you. Be creative as Jesus was and as men down through the ages have been who dared to act upon the Word of God, and see what God will do for you.
2 Tim. 1:12: "Yet I am not ashamed; for I know him whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed unto him against that day."
Paul knew that he possessed Eternal Life, the Nature of God. He gloried in it. He was not ashamed to confess it.
He said, "I am not ashamed of the good news that I believe."
Paul knew what he had. Paul rejoiced in his confessions.
2 Cor. 2:14 is a song of triumph, faith's mighty victory: "But thanks be unto God, who always leadeth us in triumph in Christ, and makes manifest through us the savor of his knowledge
in every place."
Triumphant faith that cannot be conquered, that will not yield no matter what the appearances may be, knows that God cannot lie and that "whosoever believeth on Him shall not be put to shame."
This makes us act like sons of God.
We use the Name against the forces that oppose us. We are Masters, we are united with omnipotence.

You confess that God is the Lord of your life, that He is the Lord over disease, sickness, and Satan. You hold fast to your confession of Jesus' absolute Lordship over everything that would keep you in bondage or hinder you from enjoying the finished work of Christ.
In the face of every need, you confess that the Lord is your Shepherd. You do not want. (It is always in the present tense.) He is your supply. He is your health, your strength. He is the strength of your life; of whom will you be afraid? Remember that we never realize beyond our confession. If you dare confess healing on the ground of the Word, then there is no sickness for you. In the face of pain and an open sore you confess that with His stripes you are healed and you hold fast to your confession, never wavering, knowing that "No Word from God is void of power. The word "power" means "ability" ability to make good.

That Word will heal you if you continually confess it. Your body will respond to your mind, and your spirit will gain the lordship over your body and mind. Your body will obey your confession. "He sent His Word and healed them." Psalm 107:20. Jesus was that Word. Now that Name of Jesus and the words of Jesus become your healing. Confession is confirming the Word of God. It is a confession of my confidence in what God has spoken. Here are several confessions every believer should make
Romans 10:9, 10: "Because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved: for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession if made unto salvation."

We confess the absolute Lordship of Jesus and the absolute righteousness that is imparted to us in our Redemption. We dare to confess before the world and before the throne of God that Jesus is now our Lord and that we have received salvation and become joint heirs with christ with all conviction and u receive because u believe,and when u do this hold fast to it and fight the good fight of faith and in the end with all the company of the saints we will all rejoice as one body in christ jesus to the glory of God the father

THE spiritual swamp land of the human race, the soil out of which all sin has sprung came into man in the Garden when man disobeyed God and made partnership with Satan.
Satan imparted to him his own substance and nature so that this thing called death passed into him and has followed down the stream of human life through the ages.
Every man has been touched by it. Spiritual death gave to us Satanic dominion. It separated us from God. It made of us criminals and renegades from the will of God.
Spiritual death gave to us mortality with all its diseases and pains that end in the physical dissolution of the human body.
Spiritual death is the parent of all sorrow, grief, and tears.
It marred not only the human, but the animal and vegetable world. It is the curse that came upon everything at the fall of man.
Man is not lost because of what he does, but because of what he is.
You can see now that forgiveness of what a man does would not reach the issue . He must have a new nature.
This old nature must be taken away, and a new one must fill
its place.
That is the reason why Jesus said: "I am come that ye might have life and have it in abundance."
That life is the Nature of God. The spiritually dead man is to receive this New Nature-Eternal Life, which will make him a New Creation in Christ Jesus

12 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The Resurrection of the Lord Jesus is the proof of Satan's defeat, of man's Redemption, and of God's legal right to make the believer a New Creation.
Ephesians 1:7 stands out with peculiar suggestiveness and comfort. "In whom we have our redemption through his blood, the remission of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace." We have our Redemption. It is not something we have to pray or ask for. The moment we are Born Again, that moment Redemption is ours.
Satan's dominion over us ends. Our life of servitude and fear has come to an end. That Redemption is according to the riches of His grace. We are free.

Ephesians 2:6, "And He raised us up with Him, and He made us to sit with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus." We were crucified with Him, died with Him, were buried with Him, suffered with Him, were justified with Him, were made alive with Him, conquered Satan with Him, and were raised together with Him.
That resurrection of Jesus is proof of our victory over the adversary. It is a proof that cannot be denied. Every person who takes Christ as Savior, in the mind of God, is a victor over the adversary.
So few of the Father's children have seen this mighty truth; that our victory was in the victory of Christ. When Jesus broke the bars of death, having conquered death, Satan, and sin, it was our victory.
Colossians 3:1, "If then ye were raised together with Christ," and we were raised together with Christ. In the mind of the Father it was our translation out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of the Son of His love. It was our Redemption. We had broken Satan's dominion over our body, soul, and spirit in Christ.
But perhaps the greatest message of our perfect victory over the adversary is found in Ephesians 1:19-22: "And what the exceeding greatness of his ability to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenlies far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come: and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all."
The same ability that wrought in the dead body of Jesus to reanimate it and fill it with Immortality is today in the believer. We are today more than conquerors because of the life of God that was imparted to us in our New Creation.
It is the ability of God unveiled in that Resurrection that so shook the foundations of Hell, so that today, when the believers know that they were raised together with Christ, they know they are victors in every field and over every circumstance, and they may go on from triumph to triumph.

New Creation Realities

The bible said that he will remember our sins no more, its sin consciousness that makes people think like that, but this does not apply to unbelievers

They believe in armagedon? Who does that! Until I figure out what they are smoking, I will continue to...............I don't really know

Trust is a very large word, as a matter of fact its way more than a word its a responsibility, when somebody says "I trsut you" it means more than a said word, the person is giving you a responsibility and hopes you don't let them down, that's trust and its something to be accomplished time and time again rather than something that is kept, it is exercised, it is also very easy to lose just like respect,one bad seed can destroy a lot of good seeds,now am not here to write about trust in our fellow humans maybe another time, but am here to write about trust in God, I know a lot of people will say ofcourse I trust God, but one thing I like about humans is we know the truth but we choose to say the things that we are more comfortable to believe, the bible said in jeremiah 17:9 that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, can you just pause and try to understand that part that said above all things, wow there are a lot of things but that part above all things really struck me, that means that nothing is as deceitful as the human heart and desperately wicked, it doesn't even care about the owner because evil bears evil, most of us have all read those storeis about the tortoise and how cunny it is but that's nothing compared to the human heart, so how can we be convinced that we really trust God and we believe in him? The book of 2nd samuel 22:31 says" as for God his way is perfect, the way of the lord is tried, he is a buckler to all of them that trust in him", his way is tried that means its been tested and has a gurranty, now remember this is the lord that said in ephesians 3:20"now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all what we ask or think" human imagination cannot even begin to fathom how how mighty his works are, this is God that said we should put our burdens on him because he cares, trusting in God is not just an act its a priviledge! Just imagine the maker of the universe, the I am that I am, the first born of creation jesus christ saying" trust me" now how big is that?
Its a very hard thing to do trusting in God because sometimes we feel that things are not going the way they are supposed to go and yet I put all trust in God why is this happening to me or what did I ever do to deserve this and we ask why why why why, God is not accountable to you because he is a perfect God, now am not saying its bad to ask God why once in a while but when we ask it continously and begin to lose our faith and its the only thing that is in our mind and we get confused then know that you have taken it too far because our God is not the author of confusion!, remember that you can't have faith in God without trustinh him they go hand in hand and if we don't have faith in God then we are not really what we think we are.
Tell me how shameful will it be for us to walk and struggle here on earth and in the end you don't make heaven, what's the difference between you and a chicken, infact a chicken is better because it has no soul and when it dies it dies and when you die eternity stays, that means a chicken is better than an unbeliever, what an irony, job trusted God to see him through he didn't do anything wrong but calamity came upon him and he trusted God that doesn't mean he didn't doubt God, no he had his doubts but he was able to retrace his steps and say "God I trust you, I trust you" what about that pastor whose son died trying to run an errand for the church and he still has to come to the pulpit every sunday and preach to the congregation about faith and trust in God, what about that whose husband died and left her alone with six kids and she finds out she has cancer and has only 7 months to live, or that girl that gave her life to christ at the age of 12 and suffered molestation for the next 6 years and she probably spent a lot of those years praying to God to save and deliver her from her oppressors, or that little boy who prays and cries all night asking God to bring serenity between the parents so they can all live happily and all he gets its a divorce and he is torn between following the dad or the mum while all he wants was to be with the both of them.
Or that job you prayed to God to give you and you end up being rejected, maybe even that exam you studied for a complete five weeks before the exam and prayed that God will help you read the right things and on the day of the exam you find out you know only two of ten questions and that guy that u have been telling to read that read only the night before the exam came out of the exam smiling and thanking you for telling him to read because exactly what he read is what came out and you that studied for the exam for a long time got nothing and yet you are expected to trust God, what about that promotion that you are due in your office and you have worked very hard to earn it and yet the lazy and inefficient colleaque of yours ends up getting a promotion and your stuck where you are despite everything you did and your trust in God.
Why is the wealth of this country in the hands of a few who care only about themselves and how to feel their pockets, why do we live in a society that wages war against poor people not poverty, and yet God says trust me, who can understand the ways of the lord? Micah 4:12 says but they know not the thoughts of the lord neither do they understand his counsel for he shall gather them as sheaths into the floor. Job came out of his challenges a stronger person and it takes a lot of character to do that, everything he had was doubled for him, because he kept faith in his maker, God said he will see us to the end not that the road will be smooth, God is not going to write down everything that is going to happen to you in a day and give it to you so you don't have any surprises, no you will have to walk like the rest of us and ride the storm and come out with renewed faith, rough seas make the best sailors not calm seas, blessed is the man who trust in him psalm 84:12, psalm 34:22 says the lord redeemth the soul of his servants and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate, so I encourage you brethrens that put your trust in him for he is worthy and won't let you down,fight the good fight of faith and the lord will be your shield and strength, victory us guranteed for those that trust him, are you one of them?
