This life is so funny. About two weeks ago, we were here doing differential analysis and orisirisi permutations to see how we can make top 4. I say make I check Shekpites side this morning, na soso BODMAS and simultaneous equations full there.
I just de laugh. Scenes where Chelsea would need us to beat Leicester in order for them to make top 4. I would looove to see this!!!
I don't understand the anger here, we are playing vertical tika tiki. Moving the ball around nicely I'm sure Sheffield players are feeling dizzy with how much we've moved the ball
This is the taktiks-- use the first half to 'dizzy' them then we take them apart in the second half.
sylvalord: The only positive I can see here is that our defense is top class! Only one goal conceded so far. Lampard needs to bench that Pulisic and start Pedro
eph12: I no vex. Those players are different in their own ways and bring different styles to the team. Greenwood is the most talented, no doubt. However we should avoid beD patient with our players and avoid pitting them against each other prematurely. They have their different ways and will contribute differently. No need banting those ones that have given us joy because they're going through some rough patch. We fit banter Lingard and co though. They're the exception
Lol funny enough I'm a huge Lingard fan (face palm) I truly love the guy, I don't even have a single reason. But he got too comfortable with mediocrity. OGS is truly the baby faced assassin, he's purging the team systematically without too much noise or upsetting anyone.
afrodoc: People are always suspicious because of possible hidden agenda. Lol
Rashford does not know it all. It is not a bad thing to say he can improve his finishing. If he improves it better for us.
No agenda whatsoever from my end sha. The dream is to see everyone of them become so deadly like Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez at their prime. I never downplayed Rashford's abilities and commitment.
Unto more pressing things, may the Shekpites drop points today.
Panther7: we have rotated the least but united is the only team that has made use of 5 substitutions every matchday since the restart, so that counts as a bit of rotation in some ways.
Exact thing Afrodoc and I said. The point is, our guys need rest as well. If we can't give them directly by benching them, we should do so with substitutions. I'm glad Martial was pissed when he was substituted, e mean say e still get legs to go on.
afrodoc: If it is about finishing in front of goal Rashford had better learn from Greenwood. Facts only.
I know Greenwood is bound to miss scoring chances as well, but so far, he seems way intelligent and calm, he makes the right decisions more often than not. I wasn't aware pointing this out on a light note would be a problem.
eph12: You guys have started with your 'learn from' and 'take lessons from' abi? I wonder what will happen to all of us when Greenwood goals dry up for some time, and trust me it will happen. Happens to the best of best even if it's for a couple of weeks or a month. Maybe that time we will be asking Greenwood to learn from Rashford
I no sure you understand weytin you quote, because you've had run-ins with some people about some players, you totally misconstrued what I said and changed the narrative. I didn't mention goals, I won't judge youngsters like Greenwood and even Rashford based solely on goals alone. I said 'decision making', although I said it on a really light note, I still strongly believe Greenwood makes better decisions on the pitch than Rashford. If pointing that out is a problem to you, Toor no vex.
afrodoc: By the end of next season it might be a battle between the natural talent of Martial and the hard work of Rashford for who gets the 3rd starting spot.
Martial is the kind of guy who would fvck his partner up so bad with his attitude, you won't know whether to love or to hate him. He showed mad grit and hunger in this last game- dropped deep, ran his socks off, pressed and did his bit quite okay. If this nigg can just keep this energy up for 75% of a season, he guarantees 20 PL goals + assists. Rashford, I like his simply for his grit and the fact that he's relentless - but there's how far these can take him, he needs to start making better decisions- he should take lessons from Greenwood Lol (I just remembered Rashford once called Greenwood a 'lad' in an interview, in my mind I be like, see this guy de address senior player as lad oo).
afrodoc: Lol he is not resting anybody. Start hard and fast, finish the game by 60mins and make wholesale changes.
That should be our system until the season ends.
This is the most sensible thing to do. I see guys saying we shouldn't change anything, but I'll rather we rest players than have someone like Pogba pull his hamstring then be out for two weeks. Out of the top 5 teams, I think we're the one who has rotated the least so far. Our players are not robots, and history should serve us right - towards the end of last season, we were flying high until injury kicked in and everything went to shiit. If not because deputy players like Mata, Perreira, Lingard are irredemably useless, we really should be resting some of the guys in the midfield and up front at least for an entire half. Since we can't do this, our best bet is to finish games off early, reduce the tempo and make wholesale changes early enough. This race would go down the wire, and if we would be needing point(s) in our final game against Leicester, I would want a fit 11, not a team assembled with the Perreiras and Matas because Rashford and Pogba are injured
