With all the permutations, at different times over the course of the season, we've had more than enough opportunities to go past Chelsea and we failed every single time. If I was at Manchester right now, the only message would be- focus on the next match and win it, idc if Chelsea and Leicester are facing aliens for the remainder of the season, it really isn't about them anymore, it's simply about us. The teams above and around us will surely drop points, it's inevitable going by their fixtures on paper, but what we can't guarantee is the United that would turn up on each match day. Towards the end of last season, we were posed to finish in Top 4 but we ended up losing ridiculous points. It's never about our opponents, we've held our own against the best clubs in the league this year and lost stupeedly to lower teams. So, it's about us. If we no make top 4, it won't be because Chelsea and Leicester didn't drop points, it'll be because we sef follow drop points despite having a better fixture.

Really nice. Also, the entire match was a collective team effort. Bruno wasn't the focal point like when he first joined and everything good had to pass through him. I enjoyed today's game because there was a collective quality on display, no be say one person go play better ball, another go dey jones.

Bottom line is that, if and when one is innocent, there is really nothing to be scared of.

See, no matter how innocent you are, I think in this country, one would be a fool to not be scared when accosted by the police or SARS. Unless you are 100% certain you know people high up the social/military ladder in this country.

Being scared doesn't mean you aren't innocent, it just means you're quite aware of stories of people who have been wrongly accused and are dead or languishing in jail for no reason. We should stop acting like we don't know what's up in the country where every month, there's always a case of wrongful detention or killing by the men in black.

I think most coaches have this hubris of wanting to prove something. OGS, I think, has made it his personal project to make sure Martial works as his number 9. I don't want to believe OGS isn't seeing the obvious weaknesses of Martial and why the guy just can't be the one leading the line. Martial hardly win 50-50 aerial contests, he wants the ball at his feet but doesn't exactly have the physicality to turn on defenders, they end up tripping him at safe zones, far away from the 18 yard box, he hardly commits defenders in dangerous areas. These are beyond obvious to everyone but coaches always have a stubborn streak which they stick to. I hope for all of our sake, this project gets better for us all, it's not just about scoring goals, Martial should be getting more involved in games and ruffling up defenders.

It seems Bruno has taken over penalty responsibilities? I heard he's scored 14 out of his last 14 penalties. But I'll really love Rashford to be our kicker.

They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks but AWB needs to do better with his decision making in the opponents half. I'll rather he whip in one time crosses in games, at least 7-10 crosses per game, even if the lazy Martial doesn't connect with any of the crosses, than for Bissaka to start turnioniown while attempting some funny dribbles on the byline. He's too young to be so limited. We need one of our full backs to really be a threat going forward.

If this match was played before Coronavirus, United would have won easily. For the first time we were being forced to pass backwards almost all the time. No team has made us played that way previously.

For the first time? It isn't like we've perfected the art of forward passing. Stop overestimating Mourinho with the 'reading the opponent' talk. So, with all his readings of over 100 days, how come they didn't win and could only escape with a draw. Abeg rest, let's look at our team and stop talking like Mourinho's team was up against prime Pele and Ronaldo.

A decision needs to be made about DeGea, his sloppiness has been overlooked for soooo long. James just doesn't cut it as a starter at United yet. Martial, no words.

I prefer Mata (placing) and Rashford (shot) pk.

Rashford will/should be 1st PK taker.

E no de put am for 'last angle'. But I suppose the little 'jump' he does at last second gives him an opportunity to see the goalkeeper's posture and where the keeper is likely to swing to. So he places the ball in the other corner. I'll still take his PK over Pogba's own tho, that one de pisssss me whether he score or not.
Martial too hardly places in last angle and he doesn't hit with force.
I think Rashford has added dynamics to his PK so I prefer him over others.

With Rashford and Bruno in the first team, who's going to be our PK taker now? Any guess or preference?

Things would have turned differently if Chelsea had scored. We won't remember that Pogba created chances but we would have been talking about how Chelsea midfield had free pass in the middle. We would have blamed Pogba as usual. If we allow teams to dominate us like that, we won't always be lucky. And we have been able to create chances and score goals in Pogba's absence against top teams while limiting their chances against us. Against Chelsea, they had so many chances to score against us which is bad for any team

Us getting dominated shouldn't be on Pogba alone, chief. I'm just saying he can play, and flourish as a CM for us.

Right, Chelsea dominated us but Pogba particularly created chances from that deep lying position. It was the first game of the season so I can excuse our being all over the place. I'm saying, Pogba can excel here playing CM with Bruno as AM.
