The iPhone 7 has the A10 fusion chip which is powerful enough to receive two more years updates afterwards. Apple doesn't just cut of devices they make sure its chipset is weak before doing that. Tell me any android in the IPhone X category that is still getting updates? Androids are a joke When it comes to long term support and they has that game locked down, I don't care how many terabyte rams they are providing.

there's nothing special about iOS updates unlike android that changes most things, like the android 10 came with a gesture navigation, New UI, dark theme etc. iOS updates just come with just security updates and some features most people won't even use.

and for your info, the galaxy note 8 is still receiving security updates

the Dimensity 1000 is better than the SD 765, but I think why oneplus opted for the snapdragon chipset is because of their relationship with Qualcomm.

up to 4+ years? be real please, and get your facts right Apple supports their phones for a maximum of 5 years. so the iPhone 7 cannot get updates beyond 2021

6.6 inch IPS screen with 266ppi, is what I will consider inferior, android 10.0 on a crappy XOS UI is what I'll not pay for, and a 5,000 mAh battery without fast charge + a useless helio A25 chipset (and will take over 10 hours to charge fully)is not better than a 2,000 mAh battery

a crappy phone is a phone that has an almost-low end chipset (Which you can't get any life out of) as it's CPU in an era where some comfortable mid range chipsets are struggling to keep up with tasks.

no USB type-C
gorilla glass 3
plastic frame
can't shoot 4K videos even with a "64MP " Camera
can't be updated beyond the out-of-the box software.
for a sum of 95,000 naira

have you reviewed the "TAIVOS technology"? how effective/ efficient is it? even if it's good(which I highly doubt) it's functionality will be impaired by the processor in the phone

I've not used iPhone before. So, I really fancy the idea of experiencing iOS, but the flexibility of android makes Samsung more appealing. I also o leant that cost of maintaining/repairing samsung phone is way too much compared to IPhone.

Someone should advice me.

I'll say go for the Samsung, there are many things you can do with a mixture of Android and One UI, iOS is good, well optimized, and neat, but if you are somebody that wants to do what you want with your phone, you'll find iOS restrictive

well the cost of repairing Samsung screens is expensive, because it uses AMOLED screens which is way more expensive than the OLED on iPhone X

the phones get slower when they don't receive updates anymore, because the updated/latest apps and the rest at that time, will not be well suited for them. the s10 or s10 plus still has a year of major updates, in this respect I love iPhones because they do get support for a longer period of time.

the S10/S10 plus is a good buy if you will not use it for a long time (say the next 2+ years) before upgrading

well, regarding display, the S10 plus beats both iPhones, but it'll come short when its performance is compared with both of them, but not by much, their chipset is better than the Exynos on the s10 plus but the s10 plus has more RAM.

I clearly stated it there, if you care about display and size, you should pick the XS Max, if you care more about Performance, camera and an Improved Battery life, then the iPhone 11 should go

well, the decision is tricky given that one is better than the other in some areas like
Display: the XS Max (bigger screen and OLED) beats the 11
battery life: The 11 beats the XS max, although the XS Max has a bigger battery, but also a bigger screen(which will consume more battery than the iPhone 11)and also, the A12 which is not as power efficient as the A13 bionic
performance: the iPhone 11 is better
camera: the iPhone 11 has a better processor, so it's better, and also, I think the Ultrawide camera (iphone 11) is more useful than the telephoto camera (XS max)

so, Ideally, the 11 is a better choice, but if I'm to choose, I'll go for the XS Max because of it's display ( asides processors, the display matters most to me in phones, and given the large notched display on both, it'll be less distracting on the XS Max, given its large screen size )

90K can, at most get you a UK/US used iPhone 7 plus(2016), which is over 3 years old with an A10 fusion chipset which cannot give the performance someone can consider above average in 2020, forget this hype around IPhones, The iPhone 7 plus's camera is cool, at least it's better than these tecno/infinix cameras out there, if you care about camera only, then you should go for the iPhone 7 plus, because I'm not sure there are many phones within the price range of 90K that can give you a camera performance that beats that of the iPhone 7 plus, but if you want an all round performance, with a better processor, without thick bezels, and more RAM, you can go for say, the galaxy S9 plus(UK/US used), the redmi note 8 pro(it's price starts way below 90K), the OnePlus 6 (UK/US used), the Samsung galaxy A51(although I won't recommended it), and some other devices

Oga, it's fast charging cannot give you 0-100% in 60 minutes, 0-50% in 30 minutes was advertised, we all know that the later charging of a phone like from 70-100% takes longer
