BusinessRe: Naira Exchange Rate Vs African Countries: by khunz: 7:12pm On Sep 12, 2016
1Cedi is presently N100.00 , however note that Ghana revalued her currency some years back by removing 4 zeros.while our Naira has never been revalued.
This am sure will still be applicable to some currencies quoted above.
The Naira purchasing power has always been strong until the recent trend , this is due to the then stable state of naira and also because we have a large market which makes it cheaper for our importers to negotiate price hence use cheaper selling price in Nigeria as compared with other countries
Also our taxes are relative lower than most countries , except those France has turned to dumping ground with virtually no taxes on their imported goods.

SportsDream Team of Nigeria Stuck In Atalanta Due To Flight Payment Problem by khunz(op): 4:50pm On Aug 03, 2016
NIGERIA OLYMPIC DREAM TEAM STUCK IN ATALANTA DUE TO FLIGHT PAYMENT PROBLEM ENROUTE RIO
The delay means the men's football team are expected to arrive in Brazil less than 36 hours before their opening match.

"The money paid by the [sports] ministry for the charter flight did not hit airline's account on Tuesday so they refused to fly the team to Brazil," a source close to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said.

They play Japan at 0100 GMT on Friday.

The problems seem to have happened due to the money having to go through different bank accounts and currency conversions.

"It is a cumbersome exercise but they should have started the process much earlier, which NFF was pointing out. This issue has nothing to do with the NFF," the source explained to BBC Sport.

He added that everyone in the NFF was "disturbed" by the situation because Nigeria's first game against Japan in Manaus is so soon.

The BBC has spoken to several players in the party, who say they do not yet know when they will be traveling.

One of the players explained: "We've been told to get ready to fly out in few hours but that's been the story since last week."

Nigeria, who are in Group B of the Rio Games alongside Sweden, Colombia and Japan, boast a proud Olympic record.

In 1996, they became the first African and non-European or South American team to win the gold medal.

They also finished runners-up at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where current under-23 coach Siasia also coached the 'Dream Team' in China.

Is it not when commercial banks admit they have dollar to sell that BDCs can buy?For all these trial policies to work ,CBN must do their home work and block all the loopholes.
SportsWorld Cup Bid Inquiry:England Indicted, Qatar Cleared by khunz(op):
The English Football Association has been accused of flouting bidding rules in its attempt to stage the 2018 World Cup - but 2022 hosts Qatar have been cleared of corruption allegations.

Fifa's report, which was just released after two-year inquiry, which was led by American lawyer Michael Garcia, which also looks at the conduct of other bidding nations for both the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, makes a number of damaging points about the conduct of England officials.

In particular, it says England's bid team tried to win the support of Warner, who is from Trinidad & Tobago, by:
*Trying to help "a person of interest to him" find a part time job in the United Kingdom
*Letting the Trinidad and Tobago Under-20 squad hold a training camp in the UK in the summer of 2009
*Sponsoring a gala dinner for the Caribbean Football Union, at a cost of $55,000, around £35,000

In the 42-page report, Hans-Joachim Eckert, Fifa's independent ethics adjudicator, writes that England's bid team "showed a willingness, time and again" to meet Warner's expectations.By doing so, it damaged "the image of Fifa and the bidding process".

Prince William, Prime Minister David Cameron and David Beckham joined England's bid team when voting took place in Zurich in December 2010.
They met Fifa delegates privately and attended the ceremony to announce the winners.

At the time, Prince William, who is president of the FA, said he was "immensely proud" to have been part of England's bid.

The report also recommended that Fifa should improve the bidding process for future World Cups, urging it to adopt a "more open and transparent rotation system".
It also said members of Fifa's executive committee should be forbidden from visiting bidding nations and report any gifts they received.
In a statement, Fifa said it welcomed the recommendations, adding that it had "already revised the host selection process" for the World Cup.
It also said it would support any plans to open "future cases against officials based on the information obtained during this investigation".

Britain's Fifa vice-president Jim Boyce commented on the report by saying"I feel it is now very important that people should concentrate solely on the wonderful occasion that the World Cup provides to the many millions of people who enjoy our game."

Individuals involved in England's bid could now face action following the conclusion of the two-year inquiry, which was led by American lawyer Michael Garcia.

FamilyHelp She Has Paternal Parental Denial Problem!!! by khunz(op): 2:08am On Mar 28, 2016
A very close family friend is passing through non acceptance by her father.

Her father and mother had sexual intimacy while the mum was in her late teens, and the father in his very early twenties some 28 years ago. This resulted in her pregnancy , the mum refused to tell her parents whom the father was and the father's identity faded with the years. But alas, the lady grew up and duly asked for her father after 19years( though she grew up with her maternal grand parents , whom she assumed at the initial stage were her parents). Different names came up , until one of father's(paternal) sister saw her with her mum and recognized the resemblance within her family. Also , because she was aware of the relationship between her brother and the woman at that time , she went to ask the lady about her dad , to which she replied she does not know. This prompted her to inquire from the mum , and after heated argument , she confirmed to the woman that the ladies father is actually the woman's brother and the woman left promising to resolve the whole issue.

But the stitch did not come in time, as the Man (ladies father)has already become a VERY VERY VERY influential barrister in Nigeria and married with children. The mother later said she told him some years back but he was not interested and this can also be buttressed by the statement made by the lady that when she called her father after she got the information , he was not surprised when she introduced herself which was around 2008 then , but till now he refused to see the lady, does not pick her calls and the supposed Aunty has changed from raggie to blues by not even showing interest in the matter because the brother virtually finance all her matters.

The lady is presently married with kids but she is still very embittered not knowing her father all this years and when she finally did , he turned his back for no fault of hers.

My request goes thus: How can she get the father to consent to a DNA test( all effort to get him to do this through his other relatives have hit zuma rock)?

The fear is always about his influence and power in this country (as a barrister not as a politician),it will be very difficult to win him through our judicial system unless she has a lawyer who has her 100% interest at heart.Do you know such lawyer?

Kindly help address the main issues ,she needs our wisdom to give her emotional stability and identity.

Thanks
