HealthRe: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by kiboe: 4:38pm On Oct 12, 2015
[quote author=ilesanmioo post=38449855]I know this is coming in a bit late, but for the benefit of new comers in this situation,i hope this will benefit somwone.
In my 20th week,my sister urged me to go for a routine scan because she wanted to see the baby,I was reluctant at first but after a while,I yield.
It was observed that my cervix was dilated ,I was advised however to rest as it might be stressed induced. As a FTM,I was a bit worried,so I told my dad.He advised I go to my gynea ASAP,this was on a Tuesday. So on wednesday I went to the hospital, did a scan and I was advised to get a cerclage done.
I was scared,I didn't want to do any form of operation, but the doc was patient with me and explained the process and benefits,I was scheduled for the procedure the next day.
Prep for the procedure took 15mins,and the procedure took about 30mins.it was pain free,no bleeding or cramps afterward and I was observed for a night.
I was told to have bed rest, but by Sunday I was up and about.lol

I understand the fear that comes with being told to do a procedure when one is pregnant, but for the benefit of mom and child,I will listen to my doctor.
Above all PRAY!!
Routine scans are very important too, sometimes we think all is well but....

In my 20th week,my sister urged me to go for a routine scan because she wanted to see the baby,I was reluctant at first but after a while,I yield.
It was observed that my cervix was dilated 36mm (if I remember correctly ),I was advised however to rest as it might be stressed induced. As a FTM,I was a bit worried,so I told my dad.He advised I go to my gynea ASAP,this was on a Tuesday. So on wednesday I went to the hospital, did a scan and I was advised to get a cerclage done.

justwise:
Its $10,000 if you leaving or entering US and €10,000 if one is traveling outside the EU or equivalent in other currencies though you have to declare it.

The same with £s, if i'm leaving the UK with up to £10,000 i have to declare it, it doesn't have to be $s
Leaving 9ja nko?thats the one that concerns us now.

justwise:
The limit is 10.000(£,$,€) anything above that will be regarded as money laundering, if you failed to explain the source the money will be seized.
It's $10,000 OR IT'S EQUIVALENT and not 10,000 (£,$,€)

I want to appreciate all the gurus in this forum for the great work you guys are doing. I went for my interview today and it was successful. I am presently 34 weeks old and i was very reluctant about going for the interview because i have been denied 4 months ago not knowing God grace was with me..
I got a huge lesson from what i read on this forum and i really want to say a big thank you to all the mama's in this forum..
I am thinking of leaving for Houston as soon as possible, i am presently looking for a an airline that flights directly to Houston. Please i need advice on which airline to use and if there is any other info that could be useful to me.
I would love to leave naija by sunday or monday.
Congratulations,try United!

Thanks so much @ mamabear, Tiwalope and Worry59, I intend to be truthfully and need not hide my preggy, hubby will be fully responsible for my bill

I have gone thru the past thread and still could not decide on any hospital, I will appreciate any contact on Dallas or Houston, I will appreciate cost and doctors contact. Pls any Jan mum here? We can hook up pls, I don't know where to start, been browsing and checking all day, pls help a sis.
Hi,I am a jan mum too,I totally understand how you feel, last week I was totally clueless and confused,I did read part 1 and to be honest it was very helpful, first thing I did was to send out emails to doctors within Maryland and Houston area,I got responses from most of them, but like someone advised me , maryland is a no go area, and it is true,I didn't want to be surprised eventually with gbese so I have settled for Houston.i contacted the famous Dr fagbohun and he responded quickly,I will be using him because he has mostly good reviews and he seems experienced. As for accommodation,I contacted intown suites today and got a confirmation from them,I haven't settled on this though,I will still be looking for other options.these are the steps I have taken so far.

*edit* To clarify, the flat I eventually got isn't a standalone; we took 2rooms in a 3bedroom; the Masters bedroom is properly furnished such that only the kitchen is shared with the single flatmate therein.

During my search, I realised getting a standalone is easier if one plans to stay for 3months at least.
Hi,please can u hook me up with soulcare's contact details...thanks.
